Leo came out to fix and older metal fence, the company recommended a new motor arm and even welded some of the bent damaged gate to close smoother. Extremely efficient and reasonable quote. I would recommend local gate service ! read more

It's been a year and half since they designed and installed our gate and it's held up beyond expectations. And it wasn't a simple gate, there was a lot going on - designing a custom gate, especially in a challenging environment like SF, involves addressing a combination of structural, aesthetic (i'm picky) - and practical, it's nuts. Their team did us right, and most importantly, showed up and did the job right. Can't recommend Shawn & team at Local Gate Service enough. read more

I was looking for someone to install an entry intercom and Local Gate Service had fair pricing and based on that, the HOA went with them and based on the positive reviews. For the most part, I dealt with the owner and his son. The appointment set up didn't go as well as I had liked as I was given a date but no timeframe for me to work around. So, I received a call on the day of and was provided the time. It wasn't a huge deal considering that I worked from home but I did have to move a meeting as this was important to move forward with the installation. With that said, the installation was quick and everything worked great. No complaints and would keep them in mind if I have another project in the future. read more

Get my 11ft single swing driveway gate installed with Local gate service. Took about 3wks from initial consultation to finish the gate, shorter lead time compared to other companies. Happy with the gate, simple design cost efficient, strong LA500 motor arm, and the magnetic lock. Gate open close smoothly and quiet. read more

That was amazing! Never before I had a service done as smoothly and quickly as the installation of my new big custom dual swing gate. It took only a few days for them to custom build and install it. It is perfectly balanced, too. Price was very reasonable, too. Great job! Winfried Wilcke read more

This review is written to be sure others don't make the same mistakes. Shawn and Ron are professional and responsive, but once the job is complete the service and commitment dwindles. We installed a driveway gate with a push button lock. The install team did not leave us with the lock warranty or packaging. The lock was problematic 6-month after the installation. I was told to use WD40 or file down the latch strike. It's been 2-years and my issue was never resolved. They did not visit to see our issue. They did send me a link to an Amazon lock replacement. I ordered it but it doesn't match. read more

Local Gate Service - Driveway gate - Fences & Gates Near Me

Everything I want in a contractor -- responsive, professional and true experts at their trade. And hey, people need to earn a living in the bay area, so they are expensive. But after having handymen and the like to do "grown up" work for me and have that go badly, I called the pros when I needed my Big Iron Gate repaired. Once and done with a good warranty on their work. And they are nice guys too, not laughing too hard at me when I told them that my iron gate was bent because I accidently drove into it. I debated whether to give 4 or 5 stars because I felt that the cost was a bit high for a job they were able to complete in less than a half hour. I mentioned that to the owner when I got the quote and he explained that they don't usually do these small jobs and they have to charge a minimum otherwise it's not worth their while. I guess that means they're "that good" and they should get the 5 stars. Or their pricing is a bit high so not the "best value" and should lose a star for that. I have no idea, but I left the 5th star :) read more

The team did a great job fixing my dual swing gate. The gate was out of alignment and would not close properly. They repaired the gate by welding it back into alignment. Job was done quickly and was priced competitively. Would recommend their services to anyone looking to repair a gate or install a new gate. Great Local gate service. read more

I recently hired Shawn at Local Gate Service to help design and build a driveway fence with an automatic gate. Prior to Local Gate Services, I had contacted several other companies but Shawn was most knowledgeable and honest. He also knows how to work within your budget. Consultation. I have an odd yard where a fire hydrant is in my front yard so we had to do a u-turn type of fence. Shawn had amazing recommendations on how to execute this. He had many other great suggestions as well on the look and feel of the fence. Build During the build, Shawn was very responsive and keep me in the loop with updates and next steps. He's really easy to talk to and always makes himself available. Workers Shawn's workers, Leonel and crew were amazing. They are super friendly and knowledgeable as well. When the fence and automatic gate were all said and done, Shawn did a walkthrough of the work to ensure satisfaction and to do a training on the gate motor. He also helped program all our remotes. We will talk even after all the work had completed. Highly recommend! read more

Local Gate Service - Driveway fence and automatic gate. With pedestrian door and keypad. - Fences & Gates Near Me

I have a large welded frame gate in my driveway that I became very tired of opening and closing every time I went out. Other buisnesses wanted to sell me a new gate, adding thousands to the price. The father/son team worked with my needs, and installed a whisper quiet gate opener on my existing gate, with a key pad and remote opener at a very reasonable price. They took the time to go over trouble shooting with me, which was very helpful. They are very quick to respond to phone calls, and a pleasure to work with. Thanks Mantanas! read more

Local Gate Service has truly earned a 5 star review by me for the below reasons: 1) they want to help you learn about gates 2) they give you options and suggestions that make sense for your use case 3) they over communicate and over deliver on installation 4) they are genuinely good people who care about their customers and their reputation If you're looking to get quotes, give Shawn or Ron a call and you might just stop after talking with them. They are good people doing great work! read more

I really enjoyed working with Ron and his son Shawn. Shawn provided the initial consultation with sketches of how the gates will look based on our criteria. Once we approved it, they welded our gates in their warehouse and then brought them in for installation. Very happy with the end result and pleasure working with a father & son team! read more

I really appreciate Ron, the owner's honesty and input to my gate repair problem. He looked at the photos I send him and told me it would cost less if I just contact a welder for the simple fix. Will definitely call him when I need a new gate. read more

I truly value good service and that is one of the reasons I decided to work with local gate service, In the beginning they sent Shawn their project manager to take the correct measurements and make sure that I get exactly what I want, he was very friendly and patient with me, explaining thoroughly the process as well as talking to me about materials and structure options. 4 business days later I had my gate installed. So if it's your first time getting in to a gate project I definitely recommend. read more

I will only use Ron and Shawn for gate repairs now. I spoke to Ron and Shawn over the phone and was thinking I needed to do a full gate arm replacement. They asked me to provide photos and a video of the issue and based on that, they recommended that I check the batteries in my gate first since they said the model I have does odd things when the batteries start going bad. I found replacement batteries, installed them and everything is back to normal. They could have easily just told me to replace the whole gate arm, but they just wanted to help. I cannot thank Ron and Shawn enough for their honesty and help. read more

I worked with Shaun to install a new motor for my driveway gate. He spent quite a bit of time with me going over the options etc. They did an excellent job for a reasonable cost. Recently the gate stopped working suddenly and I had to manually open/close the gate. I called Shaun and I was able to immediately reach him even though it was after their regular working hours. He was able to help me determine that the issue was due to a loss of power to the gate (which was not due to any fault with their installation). He even dropped by my house to help me fix the issue even though they were not really responsible for that. I really appreciate the customer support from this company. read more

So my husband and I have a rental property in Santa Clara, CA and we received a call from our tenant that the front driveway sliding gate had come off track and they weren't able to come and go from the house. So, after attempting to call several gate repair companies on an early Sunday morning, Local Gate Service was the only company that answered my phone call and I was so relieved after I explained to them my situation about being out of town and they had no issue with us not being there, went to fix the gate the same day, and even had the courtesy to FaceTime my husband and me to show us what the track looked like in person, what was wrong and why the old track needed to be replaced, and even took the time to educate us both greatly on the maintenance of our gate and gave us great professional advice for the future maintenance of our gate. I couldn't have asked or better service. Owning a rental property can be very nerve wrecking at time especially in emergency situations while living so far away. Being able to find a fair, honest and reliable home service company like Local Gate Service to give me peace of mind makes me feel a lot better about my decision to be an out of town rental owner. We were looking for a local company to replace a broken motor on our driveway gate. Our existing motor was over 20 years old and we needed an updated solution. Shawn at Local Gate Service was one of the only companies I could find that would come to my home for no charge and talk with me about what my options were. I'm very happy with the quality of the solution they delivered. It was less than a week from the time I contacted him and the time the job was completed. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone. Shawn made it all very easy and delivered what he promised, when he promised. read more

Local Gate Service is a father and son-operated gate/fence business that came to my rescue when my contractor was unable to install my automatic rolling gate. Shawn and Ron were able to get up to our property and not just install the Aleko gate and automatic gate opener and motor but also pour the concrete for it to run on. They gave a competitive bid, did the work quickly, communicated with me throughout the process and guaranteed their work. If I ever need another new gate installed or repaired I'd definitely call them. read more

I can vouch that Ron and his son Shawn run an honest business. They had charged me a 10% deposit for ordering materials and also coming out to inspect the property. I had a personal situation come up that changed my finances so that I could no longer pursue the custom gates and shared my dilemma with Shawn. Instead of trying to sell me something less than ideal or keep the deposit claiming the time it took to come out, he immediately refunded the deposit and told me to come back whenever I'm ready as they have all the specs and measurements saved. Seriously, thank you. read more

I contacted Ron and Shawn to replace my driveway gate based on good reviews and the types of options they had. It is actual the ideal time to do a replacement as we are all forced to stay home during this shelter in place period. I got to watch (from a distance) all of the hard work in assembling this gate. I appreciate the perfection in both the material and precise measurements. Thank you David, you worked very hard installing the gate. I would definitely recommend Local Gates and will be in contact for future projects. Kudos to them and give thema 5-star review. read more
