We did our research and interviewed…read moreseveral companies before choosing R&R for the following reasons: 1) they offered a full solution (deck + pergola), 2) they handled the city permits which gave us peace of mind, and 3) they arranged tours of properties of their completed projects (with the owners' permission) so we could see materials and features and inspect the workmanship up close. Special shout-out to their project manager Tamir who is an excellent communicator and a pleasure to work with! The timeline ran longer than we expected, but, in fairness, some delays (like permitting) are outside anyone's control, so set your expectations accordingly. The design phase was smooth, the company provided clear renderings which we approved. Construction wasn't without a hiccup or two, but all issues were eventually resolved. The finished result is fantastic! (I hope the photos speak for themselves.) The deck feels like a natural extension of the house, same level as indoors and matching the flooring color, so the indoor-outdoor flow is seamless. Build quality feels rock solid. The pergola's motorized louvers are operated by a remote, and the pergola is effectively watertight when the louvers are closed. Our neighbors saw the deck, loved it, and signed up with R&R for their backyard project. I think that speaks volumes. They are a smal business that delivers better than normal results, and so they have a full dance card. And while their office correspondence is very friendly and helpful, turnaround can take a while since I believe there's only one office staff. But in the end, we got a beautiful, long lasting fence. Worth the wait! Deeper than typical posts, mounded cement to prevent rot, and screws instead of nails. All that adds up to a very solid fence. The team lead, I regret I missed his name, has over 30 years experience and is a marvel to watch work. 65' of fence and a 10' gate done in two days. Will certainly use again.

Disclaimer, my neighbor wanted to get our shared fence redone and he was the one that sought out…read morethis company. I just paid for my half when the new fence was up. I have no complaints about the fence. They finished everything in one day. With that said, I am deducting a star because the crew tripped my breaker box. They plugged in a battery (Milwaukee? It was red. See photo) to the outlet I had a licensed contractor install to a recent closet extension in my backyard. I'm not sure how they even found that outlet as it's not close to the shared fence and is hidden by the A/C unit. I'm also not sure why they were that deep in my backyard when they were just supposed to be working on installing the new fence. If they had simply asked for permission to plug in the battery, this wouldn't have been an issue. I saw the battery charging as I was checking on the progress of the fence throughout the morning and thought nothing of it. It wasn't until that evening where I noticed that all the outlets in the back room didn't work that I started questioning the reason for the outage. After racking my brain and attempting to reset the breaker box, it dawned on me that it was because one of the workers was charging their battery. I don't know the voltage of the battery that they were charging, but it was too much for that outlet. They should've just used an outlet from my neighbor.
