Our server was attentive and pleasant and it didn't take long for our drinks and entrees to arrive. There was a margarita special so we tried the frozen strawberry. It could had been better but I can't complain about the price. I had the chicken enchiladas, rice and black beans. Delicious, black beans were so good and the enchiladas was very good. The other guest had steak, pork and chorizo tacos and everyone was satisfied. After dinner we had ice cream next door to top off our evening.

Both chicken and steak was made fresh and the pork was made and needed to be re-heated. Every taco was under $4 and was not a huge taco but decent. The sodium level was high but tasty. The interior leans into a classic, welcoming bar vibe--this is a true neighborhood bar that happens to serve incredible food, rather than a restaurant with a bar. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Kate. She immediately treated us like regulars who had been coming in for years. After telling her it was our first visit, she sat us down and recommended the Southwest Eggrolls, which absolutely did not disappoint. We also ordered the Garlic Parmesan boneless wings; they were incredibly tasty, delightfully messy, and thankfully served with plenty of napkins. For our mains, we ordered the Ridge Burger, the Frisco Melt, and the Mushroom Swiss (to which I added bacon and this was REAL bacon, not that fast food bacon) for $17 each. The menu notes that the patties are a premium blend of chuck, brisket, and short rib, which translates to an incredibly juicy and flavorful burger. As someone whose biggest pet peeve is an untoasted bun, I was thrilled to find that The Ridge grills theirs to perfection. Each burger was a standout in its own right. For sides, we added the fries, tater tots, and sweet potato fries ($3.00 each). The tater tots were the absolute star of the show, followed closely by the fries (Kate even agreed that the tots are her personal favorite!). Huge thanks to Kate for the warm hospitality and great recommendations. We will absolutely be back!

Maybe not too authentic but still pretty okay. They have a bar area as well as tables. A lot of fairly authentic ethnic restaurants around here. It's for sure not the most such of these, but it holds up okay. There's a lot of the patrons who are of the culture, as well as others who just want margaritas and tacos. Also looks like a great place for a fiesta. There's often some kind of banquet going on. It's about $10 for a margarita. We got a couple of these. I had the Classic Margarita, which is the original lime one. Refreshing. Food is limited for vegetarian choices. It's about $11 for the House Salad. Basic vegetables are on it. Has an arbol lime vinaigrette, which adds spice. She got the Taco Salad which has cheese and jalapeño crema among other things. Most of the rest of the menu is meaty. There's classics like tortas and that kind of stuff. For sure it's one of the reasons to come to this area. It's not the nicest looking but it's still mostly okay. The restaurant is located at the corner of 111th and Western.

Everything is decorated beautifully - it feels more like you're downtown than if you were in Evergreen Park. The food is absolutely amazing - I love their shrimp tapas. Service 5 Stars So…read morelet me start by applauding the manager for outstanding customer service--1) The willingness to override a hostess who refused a request for three adult couples who in advance requested separate checks (clearly professionals not the types that haggle about tips--smh) , and 2) sending the magician Michael to our table after we ate for a demonstration of his tremendous talents. Kudos Ramon! I also acknowledge the tremendous service from our main waiter Jose. Atmosphere 5 Stars So we sat on the patio which was enclosed and heated with an outdoor propane heat lamp. IT WAS A PERFECT SETTING for our annual couples dinner. The music was not as loud as in the main dining room and it was more illuminated--exactly the atmosphere desired for conversation with friends while breaking bread. Food = PERFECTION! We started with three delicious appetizers - 1) Patatas Bravas: Spicy potato bites with creamy guajillo aioli. The potatoes were a 3 out of 10 on the heat meter, but the aioli had kick! 2) Guacamole: Onion, serrano, cilantro, lime juice, minced garlic - Topped with Pico De Gallo - Served with homemade chips. 3) Salsa Trio: Creamy Salsa Verde, Molcajete Salsa Roja, Pico de Gallo served with Homemade chips. One friend ordered the Baja Tacos - Creamy Coleslaw, Beer battered White fish, Chipotle Aioli with a side of Buttered White Rice. His plate was empty in no time and he expressed his pleasure with the dish. Two in our dinner party had the Salmon Al Carbon - 12Hour Marinated spice rub 8oz Salmon fillet al Carbon with a side of Buttered White Rice with the skin removed and crisped on the side. My wife who I expected would only eat a few bites actually consumed almost the entire piece of salmon, and my dear friend ate her entire dish! Another ordered the "Camarones A La Diabla" - 6 Jumbo Shrimp sauteed with minced garlic and Diablo Sauce served with a side of Buttered White Rice. Another empty plate. (There is a theme developing here). Finally, I had the "Chuletas De Cordero" - Lamb Chops Marinated With Herbs & Spices. Served Over Creamy Mashed Potato Puree, Alongside a delicious Chimichurri & Rich savory Gravy. I ate everything on that plate!!!! The chef was accommodating and added spinach to the plate. My friend's wife ordered a "Special" -- A Seafood Medley Pasta in a Marinara Sauce Shrimp, Calamari & Mussels if a rich pasta sauce with toasted baguettes prepared perfectly to order--I'm certain because my friend has a crustacean allergy so she ordered the dish without the shrimp and it was obvious when she didn't have an allergic reaction that the dish was freshly prepared and they didn't simply remove the shrimp. It also must have been delicious because the bowl was empty! She also ordered a side of Mexican Street Corn (Corn, butter, mayo, cotija chees, & chile powder). Yes there was room for desserts, so I ordered the Dessert Sampler for us to share - Tres Leches, a Delicate Layers Of Mexican Coffee Soaked Galletas Marias & Creamy Mascarpone; Tiramisu composed of Delicate Layers Of Mexican Coffee Soaked Galletas Marias & Creamy Mascarpone, and ordinarily a Creme Brûlée but they were out and substituted Churros-Freshly Fried, Rolled In Cinnamon Sugar Served With Dulce De Leche for the unavailable Creme Brûlée which was disappointing). My buddy l's wife had the Dessert Special -- Banana Bread Putting with caramel drizzle and vanilla bean ice cream. I had to taste all four desserts but couldn't pick a favorite because they were all EXCELLENT! 5 STAR EXPERIENCE IN THIS HIDDEN GEM!!!!

I have tasted their pineapple stuffed with seafood concoction and its good of course, but here I am for the third time ordering a shrimp cocktail to go. Can't help it, its flavorful and packed with big shrimp, not those tiny crustaceans that you see in salad either, I'm talking about shrimp as big as your head. But here goes the whomp whoomp whoomp part: I specifically asked for it not to be spicy as my mom is allergic, and what happened? When I got the cocktail home we were so excited to eat. But both of our cocktails had heat and my mom absolutely couldn't eat it. I didn't bother calling them because I was too upset, but ill let the review speak for itself. But I digress! I like also that they have indoor safety dining, and they do take it seriously so that's what I look for in the newest inside dining thanks to Covid-19.
