    The Lobsta Roll

Have you ever had a lobster roll in Boston? those darn Main lobsters are ridiculously good. Who knew this portable food truck could bring that same quality over to us in the west coast! Best of all, they drive to locations all over LA and OC so follow them on their website to find out where their next location will be parked. This Lobsta Roll....ohmahgerrrd. Super buttery and tender......very flavorful and just the right amount of mayo on that bread so that it doesn't take away the lobster taste. I feel guilty sometimes for order TWO orders for myself. $12 is a lil steep.....$24 is a bit cray but i'll do it.....sometimes you just gotta get your fix! Note to Self: their website tells you the locations and dates. Their clam chowder is amazing too!

I'm not usually a fan of any food truck that doesn't serve buche and tripas tacos. But the Lobsta Truck might be that one exception in a world of overpriced, oversauced korean fusion crap. The lobster roll with butter came with big chunks of lobster meat on a lightly toasted bun, and tasted quite fresh. I enjoyed it a lot more than the mayo one. The rolls were a little small in size, but I would have no problem putting away two of these on my own. I like this truck tho because you get exactly what you expect to get. Fresh lobster without any of the bs. And for those who complain about the price, $12 is not expensive for a lobster roll. I would gladly pay that much for another one.

Itty bitty...about 4.5" long. You can see it's mostly claw meat.

Really disappointing. They were tiny and expensive. Also, how can you call it a lobster "roll" when it's served on a piece of bread. And, bad white bread, no less. It looked like it was half a slice of Texas toast sliced down the middle, then stuffed. The chowder was thin, but flavor was ok. I won't be visiting this truck again. I'll try Cousins next time.

On our food truck excursion tonight my daughter and son decided to order their dinner from the Lobsta Truck!! The menu is simple with a lobster or crab roll either in butter or mayo, a bisque and or clam chowder. They have bags of chips to choose from as a side. My daughter got the crab roll with butter. This I believe was $11 and once we got it, not too big in size. It did have a good portion of crab meat and tasted pretty good. Doesn't come with any sides so she grabbed a bag of sea salt and vinegar chips. My son got the cup of clam chowder which is $4. The soup is creamy and tasted delicious. I would rate it 4 stars. They didn't provide any crackers and when I went to ask them for some they said they had ran out. Crackers with the soup is a must so my son was a bit bummed. They could have offered a piece of bread but nothing was given. Service was lacking. When we walked up the guy in the truck was hunched over and didn't greet us. Placed our order and the mood was just down. I would be back for the soup though it was yummy!!

Bloody hell... the lobsta roll with butter is friggin delicious!!! The lobster meat is nestled gently on a garlic bread roll and I was pleasantly suprised how much lobster they gave you. I only wish the rolls weren't so expensive... I can't wait to try the lobster bisque next!

This food truck was outside of my office building and I told my coworker because I knew she liked lobster rolls...She's been to the Cousin's Lobster Truck? But once I told her it was outside our building, she told me to come with her. I wanted to just look, but ended up trying it anyway! What I got: Lobster Roll w/ Butter ($13): so you have your choice of getting it with butter or with mayo. Co worker told me to get it with butter since it seems like you get extra meat. $13 is kind of price-y in my opinion for what came out. I thought it was going to be like lobster in a hot dog bun, but it was actually on a piece of folded bread! Bread was grilled/toasted in butter it seemed and I could eat the bread by itself! Lobster didn't have a funny after taste and it was more lobster than I expected. Definitely worth a try! Service: There wasn't a long line to begin with so taking our order and getting our food was pretty quick. Not sure if I would pay $13 for it again, but it will definitely be tempting if they come by again...

Chew your food or you might choke on whole chunk of lobster!! It was definitely worth $13. These weren't shredded and not drenched in sauce; light and flavorful, perfect for this hot weather... I also had the clam chowder. It didn't taste like the ones you have at the restaurant; it'smore sweet than salty. Can't say it's my favorite but it's not bad. Still need to try lobster bisque next time.

So worth the $13 for the lobster roll. It was loaded with meat. Simple and delicious! Craving another one already!!

I got the lobster bisque pint size for $12 and got basically a bunch of running heavy cream with not even 1 piece of lobster in the soup. Huge mistake. My total order came to $17 and I got running "soup", a small bag of chips, and a soda. Unreal.

Lobster and crab rolls are good and meaty, but way overpriced. For $12 I could've eaten in a Chinese buffet with all the crab legs I want.

Even though it was 6:15 on a Saturday night, we were able to be sat right away. As soon as we walked in, someone greeted us and showed us to our table. Our server immediately got us waters and asked if we wanted anything else to drink (wife and I both got some delicious beers that they had on tap). We had our little one in tow with us and they were so accommodating to him! As soon as we were ready, our server took our order. We got: Chowder "frots" (fries and tots mixed in with some New England clam chowder, bacon, onions, cheese, and other goodies) 10/10, would definitely order again. My wife got the lobster roll with a side of clam chowder. Loaded with lobster, but you do pay the price. Labeled as market price, this was almost $40. Delicious, but not worth it in our opinion. 6.5/10. Pan roast (house specialty which came with shredded crab, shrimp, clams, and muscles). This, topped with rice, was heavenly. Better than any pan roast I've had. Came out ripping hot as it should. My wife was envious of my dish. 10/10 From the kids menu we also ordered the chicken Alfredo. My kid loved it, but my wife and I both had a bite and wow, we would've ordered that for ourselves it was so good. 10/10. We can't wait to come back just for the food. On top of that, however, service was above and beyond. The servers and everyone in the restaurant were so accommodating to us and our child and made us feel so, so welcome. We would come back even if the food was bad, solely for the service we received. Vibes we great, decoration on the walls look like they hired an artist to paint it. They had two TV's behind the bar / prep area that was showing NBA and PGA which I'll never complain about. All around 10/10 experience.

I tried their lobster roll and was honestly impressed by how fresh and flavorful it was. The lobster was generously portioned, tender, and packed with flavor without being overly heavy. Even if lobster isn't your thing, they have plenty of shrimp options that were amazing like the coconut shrimp and shrimp fries! My bf and I frequent the AMC right next door, so today after a movie we decided to check this place out. We ordered to share: the lobster roll combo ($25) with the clam chowder fries ($6) and a small 8oz side of lobster bisque ($8). We ordered on a tablet but after we ordered the girl behind the counter offered us two free drinks while we waited and she was super friendly, so 5 stars for service. The vibe of the place is super unique and fun inside, they had little shrimp and lobster magnets and decor and they were playing SpongeBob on tv. Even their packaging was very well presented. Unfortunately I think they need to spend more time perfecting their food than just having a cute vibe. The first bite we took was the lobster bisque and we were both shocked at how lukewarm it was, I almost wanted to go back inside to ask if they could warm it up because it was appalling the temperature they served it. Then we squeezed the lemon on the lobster roll (which we ordered the spicy aioli with) and I was truly surprised at how bland it was. Definitely could have used more sauce but honestly if something is tasty on its own it shouldn't need to be drowned in sauce. I was so glad I was sharing this because no part of me wanted to eat that whole dry flavorless lobster roll. The star of the show for us both was the clam chowder fries, the fries were absolutely tasty and would 100% order these again. In effort to save our experience with the other 2 dishes, we tried dipping the roll into the bisque but we just weren't feeling it at all. The more of the bisque we had, we just tasted pure butter like Paula Deen was back there in the kitchen preparing it herself. It wasn't a delicious indulgent type of buttery taste, it was honestly just too much that we didn't even finish the bisque. We immediately felt gross and bloated and decided we needed a walk before driving home. We walked over to Target with heavy guts and energy depleting quickly. On the walk back toward our car, I had to run to the restroom because the food immediately hit me in the worst way possible. On our drive home our mouths felt so dry and we both just felt awful and my bf ran straight to the restroom right when we got home. Bummer when a place that could be great for a lot of moviegoers just fails so hard. The clam chowder fries were good but they're also $13 if you order them without the combo so I'm not sure how often we'll be ordering. I truly hope my review is taken into consideration and the recipes get retested and perfected.
