The job was to take 2 weeks. After 4 weeks, not one room was complete. My home has been unlivable. I gave him 50% down which was $5000. After a week he asked for $2500 saying that if he didn't get it he couldn't pay his guys to return to complete the work. Over the course of the next couple weeks he asked for more money to pay the workers and for more materials. When questioned about why this was necessary he refused to give a direct answer, only letting me know that without it the job couldn't be completed. I'm a single mom. I worked for 10 years to make this project happen. All of which I told him. Honestly, once I gave him the initial $5000, I couldn't afford to pay someone else to finish the work, so I felt I had to keep giving him the money to ensure the job would be completed. After $9500, please see the pictures to understand just a portion of what he left me with. Not only is his craftsmanship poor, he is a swindler. I am now stuck trying to figure out this mess. Spent 3 days scraping, sanding and patching to prepare for painting as well as moving all items out of the way before painting. They masked off quite a bit of area to ensure that there would not be any overspray. This attention to preparation continued as they did the stucco, trim/facia/eaves, siding and doors. They also help trim back some of the vegetation from wrought iron fence that they painted. Very happy with the process and results.
