What a happy accident that my boyfriend and I stumbled upon the Lobby Lounge. We were looking for Niku, and the sign for "restaurant" said 70th floor so we took the elevator to 70th floor. Turns out we were in the wrong spot, we discovered the lovely view and the Lobby Lounge so we decided to come back after dinner to enjoy drinks and a view of the LA night sky. We were lucky and seized a seat with a prime view. There were QR codes of the menu from some of the tables, so we went over to one and scanned it. Staff never came by to take our order so my boyfriend went to the bar to order and close out. 18% AUTOMATIC GRATUITY for no service at all. You are really paying for the view, make the most out of it. My boyfriend had their Garden & Ginger ($18) and I had a Lady in Purple ($23). My drink was great. Came with a beautiful flower. Matched with my purple nails. Once again, stunning view. If you treat it like an admission to seeing an attraction, it might soften the emotional toll of their prices and automatic gratuity. I had a good time since it was so cute how we accidentally stumbled upon it. Those magical spontaneous moments :)

We went to the bar to get chocolate martinis, but they didn't have any, so they suggested the espresso martini, and it was perfect to end our night. There were a lot of people that night, but the bartender was very nice. The view from there is incredible, so I 100% recommend going there to have a couple of drinks before going out or before/after dinner.

Los Angelenos. Shibui grain select Japanese whisky. Maple syrup. Angostura syrup bitters with an orange twist. Smooth and sweet.

Lobby Lounge is located on the 70th floor, you can't miss it as its alluring bar overlooks the most spectacular views of the city. We dropped by for some food and drinks... THE FOOD ELABORATION. - Crispy Brussels Sprouts | Pleasantly surprised at the portion size! These crispy little things are sweetly glazed with a savoriness that makes it hard to not want to eat everything. It comes with a small bowl of highly addictive garlic aioli sauce for dipping. This dish is a meal in of itself! - Sky Lounge Burger | The house blend burger patty had great texture and I loved the smoked Gouda cheese flavor. However, the burger was a little too salty for my liking. The same goes for the parmesan fries. If I ever ordered this again, I'd request not to add too much salt. THE DRINKS DRUNK. - Los Angelenos | Pretty strong whiskey cocktail, similar to an Old Fashioned. - Downtown Sunrise | Reminds me of a whiskey infused Mai Tai. I liked this cocktail a lot. THE VIBE EVOCATION. Modern vibes with a beautiful suspended glass shelf above the bar where liquor bottles are showcased. The bar can seat about 15 people, but where you want to be is at one of those coveted tables next to the windows! THE PARKING AFFAIR. Parking is valet only. If you're staying at the hotel, overnight parking is $51. You can find cheaper parking near the hotel. THE RESERVATION DETERMINATION. No reservations needed. Just show up and find a seat. THE RETURN QUANDARY. Yep, I would definitely return for the cocktail, Brussels sprouts, and that view!

Its the first Mediocre Mon of the year! After a biz event in DTLA, my socio and I decided to hit LL at the Intercontinental to grab a nightcap and watch the rest of the Celtics vs Lakers game. The experience was like the game: A great first part, followed by a collapse at the end of the game. The view and ambiance are very nice. The lobby of this hotel is near the top of the bldg, vs most hotels where it is on the ground floor. However, the wagyu burger was not worth the $30 price tag. It was more bun vs burger, and the bacon jam did nothing to enhance the burger (similar to Father's Office). Likewise, the fries were a bit cool bc the food took a long time to arrive. It had obvi been sitting too long. I can't remember our waiter's name, but he was inattentive. We wanted to order more drinks, and we wanted some water, but we couldn't find him. All in all, a mediocre experience vs the rooftop bar, Spire 73. We didn't go there bc we wanted to watch the game, and there is a cover later in the evening.

This has to be the most awe inspiring hotel lounge I've ever seen. Sitting on the 70th floor, this place has an amazing view both during the day and the night. The bar has a number of seating options and the drinks and food are pretty good. The burger was something special and exactly what I needed. If ever staying in or visiting the Intercontinental, you have to take a load of and check this place out.

The hubby and I Cruised by here for a quick drink before dinner. I'm custom to making Expresso Martinis for myself, and I am rarely pleased with all the premade cold brew martini drinks .. blah . Hands down, our bartender TIM made an EXCELLENT Expresso Martini...and believe me, I'm quick to send a drink back with no shame. Additionally, Tim made a perfect Lemon drop& my hubby toes curled after one sip of his dirty martini. We ordered the wings & artichoke dip which were average, but tasty. The lobby bar is beautifully located on the 70 floor with a romantic nighttime vibe. Great date night spot with the hubby or just a girls night out. Our bartender is definitely worth the trip through downtown traffic for another one of his Tasty Tim Martini's !

not sure about parking at the location, i walked there. the lounge is on the 70th flr of the Intercontinental Hotel and surprisingly reasonably priced considering it seems like a fancy place. The views from the bar are amazing. they have a good selection of beverages and appetizers. My party was greeted quickly by a server and was accommodating with seating. if your in downtown L.A., 7th & Figueroa, grab a drink here.

Lobby Lounge is an excellent ALTERNATIVE BAR located on the 70th floor of Intercontinental Los Angeles Downtown. We initially wanted to check out Spire 73 (73rd floor), but they have a minimum charge of $60 per person on a Saturday evening. However, I did not want our lovely evening to go to waste, so we decided to check out this upscale bar next to the hotel check-in. Fortunately, we found a table available by the window. The view at the top was amazing was so was the drink. I ordered RYE MANHATTAN (Templeton rye, Cinzano 1757, vermouth, angostura bitters). It was served in a martini glass and had a nice strong kick. The atmosphere was excellent, with plenty of tables evenly distant from one another. Come here around 10 pm, and you will witness the moon rise behind the US Bank Tower. It was a spectacular sight to see. Make sure to ask for a parking validation. You will save $5, which is not enough to cover the fee.

    The perfect Manhattan.

Nice whisky selection, perfectly poured drinks, friendly service and amazing views. I really like this bar at the Intercontinental hotel in Downtown. We have had drinks here a few time and have enjoyed all our visits. You don't have to be a guest at the hotel to visit the lobby bar. If you have family in town, this really is a great place to bring them for the the views alone, the tasty drinks are an added bonus.

Was in town for a work event and the weather was rainy so we were looking for a walkable but nice meal near Koreatown. Decided to take a bet on whatever restaurant offerings the Intercontinental Hotel presented. It was unusual but enjoyable that the hotel's actual lobby was on the 70th floor. You step off the elevator and are welcomed by a magnificent view of LA. We sat at very small tables for 2 adjacent to the bar with window views. Service was pretty fast and friendly. We decided against full dinner and opted for tapas. We preferred truffled artichoke dip, the angus sliders and veg egg rolls. Everything came out as expected. My fav were the sliders. The table was almost too small for those 3 plates so definitely sit at the bar of York have something more substantial. While there are many places that offer a wonderful menu, if you want to socialize or have a drink this is a go to. The view is magnificent!

    Lila S.

very poor service for a high ticket and did not even bother to check on that table. It is not acceptable .. I will don't recommend this place at all!!!¡...not even one star...

    Espresso Martini

Staff was kind, quick, no cameras allowed though. Beautiful view. $28 espresso martini after automatic 18% gratuity.

Two Americano coffees after dinner (we ate at Spire73 but it was windy so we came here for after dinner coffee).

Grabbed a coffee in the lounge after dinner at Spire73. We enjoyed the views but from indoors.

5* Ambiance 5* Service…read more5* Coctails Level 8 really has done a fantastic job creating a jazz/entertainment bar with great service, drinks, and unpretentious service. The guests, come and go and at each moment, in any corner, be ready to be surprised and entertained by a live DJ, acrobat, burlesque performer, pianist and singer. What a show! Veronica at the bar was fantastic and made us drinks just to our order. Supper knowledgable, helpful and kind. Definitely, this place is a great hangout after a meal... be prepared to be be dazzled and entertained.

Gonna try to paint the picture in as few words as possible. Sorry for the long narrative:…read more 1) I planned out a special night for my wife throughout all of Level 8 2) Had reservations set at Lucky Mizu for Dinner to Mr. Wanderlust for Cocktails and Entertainment and then to Sinners and Santos for Drinking and Dancing for Latin Night 3) Showed up for our 6:45 PM reservation at Lucky Mizu but was turned away 3 times stating they didn't have seats available. After being seated 40 minutes later, service took 20 minutes to take our order, and another 30 minutes to be served. Food was 'okay', there was no entertainment, and multiple customers were unhappy with similar slow service... but some of them were comped parts of their meals.. we didn't even get a sorry until we spoke to the manager on our way out, expressing the reason was they had no idea it would be this busy on a Thursday (they take reservations, so...), and also blamed an 'all you can eat promotion' they promoted earlier, and they only had two serves on staff that night. 4) We were late to Mr. Wanderlust, but were luck to get two seats at the bar after another couple left. We order two cocktails and a coffee... and were charged just over $140. Then, we were asked to move because they wanted to take our seats. We asked about the bill to the bartendar, and she expressed that since she didn't take our original order, she couldn't help us. She simply just had us stand there. We were not going to pay since it seemed way off... until finally we spoke to a guy walking by. We showed him our ticket/receipt and said out loud, "this isn't right". He came back quickly with a revised bill of almost $120. This was still far too high, but no one else seemed interested in helping us find resolve, so we ate it since we didn't want to be late for part 3 of the night. 5) Hoping to salvage the night with drinks and dancing... we tried to find the entrance to Sinners and Santos for their advertised Latin night. We had made reservations here too, and had full confirmation of the reservation... BUT, after finally being directed to the entrance (outside on the patio), they were closed. No sign of why and no one who worked at the other locations had a reason, but they were just simply closed. 6) So, after paying $35 for parking, about $140 in cocktails and food while waiting for our initial reservation at Golden Hour and Que Barbaro, $150+ for dinner at Lucky Mizu, and $120 at Mr. Wanderlust... approximately $500 total... we didn't even get to dance. Maybe this place had a bad night, but based on what the workers said, and how they treated us... it sure seems like the norm. Don't get me wrong, the place is cool... some really great experiential elements and nice photo ops... but I would have had a much better time somewhere else. Super disappointed in this place.

But this latest Library Bar seems to have finally dialed in what was always sorely missing in that it showcases a conscientious staff that all seem to know how to mix drinks while treating the customer well by leaving them be. On one night my date and I share a "Black Manhattan," basically a Manhattan with the generous addition of Averna, and it's terrific. On another night, I go for Happy Hour and a few pints of Guinness on draft that are surprisingly proper and go well with their excellent and, I'm told, homemade Hummus & Veggies Plate. The music at this current Library Bar is pretty much on point and is never so loud as to interfere with the conversations that patrons seem to come here for... something you should come here for too, and maybe at Happy Hour specifically if you're looking for a nice bump in your day and to spend an hour, well, happily.
