Also our server answered all of our questions and gave us some recommendations 5/5 We got the Smoked Brisket burger and shroom burger and all I have to say is that they're DELICIOUS! Ordered medium rare and it came out medium rare. On the smoked brisket burger there is a roasted Poblano pepper that was the most delicious Poblano pepper I've ever had. The shroom burger is also as good as the smoked brisket, nice and juicy burger. The mac and cheese and French fries are also really really good . 5/5 There was plenty of seating and great lighting. The table sizes are great with plenty of space to enjoy the food.

Burger was cooked to perfect medium rare as requested, the brisket was smokey and shredded, just the perfect touch to this burger that worked so well with the roasted poblano and crispy onions. I will be thinking about this burger... -Shroom burger $18, this will always be my favorite burger here, I have had this burger three times and every time it has been amazing.

Natalie definitely knows how to make an Old Fashioned--carefully handcrafted and finished with an orange peel. It doesn't get much better than that. Other customers who arrived after me were served first, so I eventually walked out. Amanda and Ashley , thank you for addressing my previous review and making things right. I ended up getting the breakfast burrito without the bacon to make it vegetarian and it was sooooo good. The salsa it came with was a wonderful mild red salsa. I would definitely order this breakfast burrito again. Plus the burrito was only $12.95, that is not bad at all. I also loved that they host a lot of fun themed nights and events. This really seems like a fun place to work and attend regularly, I wish it was closer to me. The day I went all the of the staff were dressed in PJs because they had a PJ party event planned for that evening. They had indoor seating as well as an outdoor back patio. Plenty of seating and plenty of TVs.

Once the music got set up on the patio, it was so loud, you couldn't talk with anyone at the table. not a nice way to spend a relaxing afternoon with friends. but ok, we moved inside. The music, by the way, was excellent. So it's not that. Inside we had a server who seemed new or not very well trained. For a place that serves breakfast and lunch, it was odd that at 10 minutes before noon, we still could not order "lunch" items. but ok - pivot to breakfast. we placed drink orders and food. What came out was disappointing. we asked if the bottomless mimosas could have a little cranberry juice added. Server said not problem. What came out were cranberry mimosas, no orange juice in sight. when food came out, it left a lot to be desired. The avocado toast order was awful. plain white, grocery bread barely toasted with an avocado smash (container spread from the store or costco?) and dried grated parmesan cheese (like from the plastic container in the grocer) not as advertised and definitely not what one expects for this dish. The side of bacon was forgotten. The eggs benedict looked ok however the hollandaise sauce was barely existent and what was there was split. Making it barely edible. The other breakfast dishes were just ok. Biscuits and gravy looked good. lots of it and chunky. scrambled eggs and hashbrowns are hard to mess up. But for one person, the hashbrowns were pretty much cooked to a crisp and a lot of grease on the plate. that person left those to the bin. And had a hair on the plate. We had to ask for the bottomless mimosa to be refilled. The server took the glasses, and when they came back, one was orange, one was cranberry and THE GLASSES WERE REUSED! Unacceptable!! if the server didn't know, the bartender should know NOT to reuse glasses. Even if it is our own glasses, you don't reuse them. If you want music, average food, and drinks - this will be ok. The band was really good. The food experience was dreadful.

Had such a great dinner tonight at Mediterraneo in Alpine!…read more We started with a few appetizers and honestly...they were the highlight. The MELENZANE RIPIENE (eggplant stuffed with ricotta, parmesan, and cherry tomatoes) was incredible: rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The calamari fritti was crispy and delicious, and the TONNO ASIATICO (seared ahi tuna with sweet chili glaze, ginger, teriyaki, and wasabi) was a huge hit at the table. We also had to try their house-made mozzarella sticks, don't skip these...the cheese pull alone is worth it For the mains, we had the CAPELLINI ALLA CHECCA and the RIGATONI ALLA NORMA, and both were fantastic. You can really taste the difference, the pasta is imported from Italy, and it shows in the texture and flavor. My husband also ordered the margherita pizza and said it's the best he's ever had, which says a lot! The space itself is big, welcoming, and super versatile. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, plus a large bar with a full menu. We tried a couple drinks from their spring menu: the pistachio espresso martini and the berry margarita both were so fun and tasty. The staff was also incredibly friendly and attentive, which really made the whole experience even better. Bonus: they have a great family-friendly area with arcade games and a pool table, which makes it perfect whether you're going out as a couple or with a group. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to!

We were at the Gaylord for a staycation and decided to have dinner here our second night (went to…read morethe Old Hickory on night one, reviewed separately). Before we even sat down, I asked the hostess to ask the chef about the buns for the burgers. I cannot eat egg and REALLY wanted a burger with a bun. They weren't too busy so she went and asked. Their buns do contain egg but they said they could use sourdough bread for my burger. YAY! :) (yes, I can order a burger wrapped in lettuce but a burger needs a bun so that all of the flavors soak into the bun. It is all a part of the experience) We have been on the hunt for the perfect burger in San Diego (refer to above paragraph, that burger *must* include a bun sans-egg) and we *FINALLY FOUND IT*!!!! We both ordered the Wagyu Beef Burger - medium rare. Mine without onion rings or aioli and sub sourdough bread for their bun. It was everything I wanted it to be and more. First, I love that they asked how we wanted it cooked. Just like the bun, a properly cooked burger is definitely part of the experience. It was juicy and flavorful. It was SOOOO good that I didn't even put condiments on it. Their fries were crispy and tasty, also very good. I am sad to report that I couldn't finish my burger (or my fries). I don't know why we didn't decide to split a burger instead. I think that we were so excited that I could get a burger with a bun that we forgot that my appetite is that of a bird. They have oodles of TVs - just like a sports restaurant should. We were there for the World Cup and NASCAR Race the Base weekend, so got to watch both on giant screens. Our waitress was Felicia. She was very nice and patient with me when I gave her my 'special' burger order, when I apologized she even waved me off and told me that mine isn't the worst order she's ever had (it's comforting to hear even if it wasn't true). My only complaint is the noise level, it wasn't even busy and it was too loud. I cannot imagine how terrible it would be when they're busy. I hate to sound like an older person here, but why don't restaurants plan on noise level? It's not like it's a new concept. Sound dampeners got a long way into helping make the experience more enjoyable. I'm not 'just' there to watch sports, I want to have a conversation with the people at my table. Transportation/Parking Parking - They do offer valet parking and have a parking garage (I believe that both are for a fee, and any validation they do at dinner is not for the entire amount). I believe there was free on-street parking and there's a gravel lot in between the Gaylord & the marina that people were parking in. Trolley - About a 20 minute walk from the Blue Line trolley. It's a straight shot down H Street, and I believe it's sidewalked the entire way. Ferry - There is a ferry from the SD Convention Center to the marina beside the Gaylord. It's $15 one way. At the time, there is no sidewalk connecting the marina to the hotel. It is a short walk and not too busy with traffic. We'll definitely be back! I always feel like I need to apologize for not taking photos, my personal opinion on pictures of food is that they really need to be done by professionals. But, thank you for reading my review!

We had the Parmesan garlic wings (hot, crispy outside, juicy inside, and decent size) and the Angus burger (cooked medium well, nice char on the outside, moist and slightly pink inside...the burger is a bit messy with the toppings but overall it was a great combo of flavors). This type of bar food is usually hit or miss, but Growlers was a hit!
