In my truly honest opinion, Eric is not looking to do much more than to help people at a very reasonable cost.

This wasn't my first time securing a loan so I had a level of expecation wiith how everything was going to go. However, I did not anticipate the circumstance I found myself in. After searching online and reading reviews, I decided to call Rob to explore if I had any options available. Though I already had a locked rate with another lender, he was very understanding and walked me through various scenarios of what I could do. Rob also went digging to find alternative lending options to improve upon my current rate and closing costs...which he amazingly did improving my rate by .25 points. He recommended that I go back to my current lender and see if they'd be willing to match. I had already expressed my interest on finding an alternative lending option but he knew how far along I was with the underwriting process and was looking out for my best interest (though I had pretty much decided in my mind to eat the sunk costs I had with my current lender with the main application, deposit, etc knowing that is make it up in the long term with the adjusted rate). I took Rob's recommendations and went back to my current lender and surprisingly they matched the rate to what Rob quoted even though I had already locked in. In the end, I decided to stay with my current lender because of logistical purposes. However, my experience with Rob was tremendous. I'm truly grateful for the amount of time he spent talking with me, his attention to my issues and recommendations. I wish I had found him before I went the big bank route. It would have made my life so much easier and less stressful. Should I be in the market for another property and securing a loan, I will absolutely reach out to Rob.

The bot asked me for a phone number and a time to call. I gave it this morning at 9am. No one called. So I emailed and asked if a human, not a chatbot, could reschedule. Apparently Rob replied and apologised and asked me for several times today to talk. I told him 11am was open, and he confirmed he would call at 11am. He also took my phone number again (I guess his chatbot didn't actually record it, so beware if you use that system). 11am rolls around, no call. After ten minutes I email again asking if anyone was going to call, no response. Been 30 minutes, and I think this is a pretty poor sign. I'll be working with other mortgage brokers moving forward. I'm flexible on my schedule, but to not even attempt to contact your potential customer to let them know you can't call? Why bother scheduling in the first place? Wasting someone's time is about the worst first look you can do. Doing it twice in a row on the same morning? Not great.

My counselor is extremely helpful, quick to respond, and great at communicating. I'm looking forward to becoming a homeowner one day, but only by doing it the right way and making sure I live within my means. The NACA program ensures I own a home the right way! Extremely disappointing experience -- accountability matters…read more Our experience with NACA has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. We entered the program in good faith, followed the instructions provided to us, and relied on information given directly by NACA's team while navigating the home-buying process. Unfortunately, we later discovered that information we were given was incorrect. This was not an error on our part. We followed the guidance provided by NACA, and we are now dealing with the consequences of information that their team gave us. Mistakes can happen. What matters is how an organization responds when its mistake has a real impact on the people who trusted them. We reached out to management directly to explain what happened, request accountability, and ask for a fair resolution. Our initial email went unanswered. We subsequently followed up because we should not have to repeatedly chase an organization for a response regarding an issue caused by its own team. That is what has been most disappointing about this experience. When you're dealing with something as significant as purchasing a home, you need accurate information, clear communication, and accountability. If your team provides incorrect guidance, the customer should not be left holding the bag. We are intentionally not putting every detail of the situation in a public review because we are still attempting to resolve the matter directly and professionally. However, prospective NACA participants should absolutely be aware of our experience. My advice: document every conversation, get important information in writing, ask questions when something doesn't seem clear, and do not assume that information provided verbally is accurate without verifying it. We sincerely hope NACA chooses to take responsibility, address the consequences of its error, and provide us with a fair resolution. Right now, however, we feel let down by an organization we trusted during one of the most important financial decisions of our lives.
