The restaurant isn't big, but has more seating than it looks like from the outside. When we walked in, we were greeted by Harman and he made some excellent recommendations for us. He told us what his favorites were on both the restaurant week menu and the regular menu. The boudin egg rolls were good and the sauce on top of it was the perfect pairing for it. The Mac and cheese and was so rich and it was a larger portion that I was expecting. The shrimp wrap was a nice balance to the heaviness of the Mac and cheese and it was a refreshing taste. Not pictured, but the sweet potato fries for dessert were delicious and the caramel sauce on them is something I would buy bottles of. Everything is made to order, and with the amount of fried food on the restaurant week menu, it did take a while for us to get our food and we had to get our dessert to go to get back to work. I can't wait to go back and try some of the rest of Harman's recommendations.

I have ordered a couple of various dogs - I can't remember which ones but I love the variation and the different flavors and textures, and next up, I want to try the wraps. All in all, pretty good. I need to go to the brick and mortar, I just haven't made it over there yet. I'll definitely be happy when they come around on the schedule again.

This place is awesomely decorated and has a New Orleans/cajun flavor. They have a small menu that features some eye catching exotic hot dogs. They also have hot dogs monthly specials that do not appear on the menu. Just look out for the signs around the register. The restaurant has a small parking lot and some limited street parking is available. You will find a decent sized dining area, and an outdoor patio, furnished with tables with umbrellas. I really liked the bar inside. It has a lot of seating, some televisions and there are two garage doors behind it that can be opened to give the bar an outdoor feel. I ordered the hot dog of the hotdog of the month, for the month of October. I also got a side of fries. My food was prepared quickly and It was pretty good. No one in my group was disappointed with their meals and was very happy that we came here. I really liked this joint. It has a lot of personality, great food, and a very friendly staff. I hope to make it back here soon and recommend that you check it out too.

Bruiser's is a hot dog place with the feel of Louisiana and the charm of Chicago. The inside is really cozy. Lots of Chicago Cubs decor, baseball games on TV, collectors items, including authentic seats from Wrigley Field, and even St. Louis Cardinals targets in the urinals. (Haha) The bartender, who I think is an owner, definitely reminded me of someone from ChiTown as she yelled things back and forth from the bar to the kitchen. Don't be put off by this, she was really friendly. The menu features dogs from all over. There's a chicago style, and a few other big cities, then things like today's daily special (the Muffuletta Dog), with a LA twist. I asked the bartender if I should give it a try, and she gave me a "duh" kind of answer with a smile. I was convinced, and she was right -- it was yummy. We also ordered some special tots to go with. One thing I found amusing was their tag line, "the home of the Barduca", but I didn't see it in the menu. I asked what it was and she explained it was a foot long dog, but they don't sell it anymore. You can order 2 of the smaller duca dogs to essentially create it. I'd normally consider an inaccurate menu to be poor business, but in this case, it's a small, locally owned shop that likely serves locals that don't pour over the menu and ask questions like me. I thought the menu and people were charming and the food was good. A tad pricey for a hot dog -- but it was good quality and after all, it's a small business in a hurricane town in the midst of covid. I didn't mind mind the price knowing it helps the local economy. I'd def eat here again. Other fun things: 1) there is outdoor seating 2) this includes a bar 3) the patio has water misters to keep things cool 4) parking is available in their private lot 5) they feature a real life dog that's up for adoption each month. Look for the sign on the bar. 6) they also have a donation box to help support other local businesses effected by the hurricane* on the bar. I thought that was cool. *I visited a few weeks after Hurricane Ida came through. This area was mostly hit with power outages and lots of downed trees.

Even though I…read moredecided to dine indoors, it was the outdoor patio dining area that drew me in with all the colorful seating and canopy above the tables. The decor inside is just as vibrant and colorful as it is outdoors. Fun paintings on the wall. There's a bar on the left hand side and booth seating on the right. You walk to the back to order and seat yourself. Cute drawing of a dog lying in a bun on the side of the napkin holder. The menu is above the counter, and it's a bit overwhelming. Who knew there were so many options for sausages. I decided on the Vegan Chipotle Sausage ($12.50). The list of toppings is even more extensive, which you can leave up to the chef, so you can guess, I decided to leave it up to the chef. I also purchased a fountain drink ($3.15). You give them your name when you pay, and they deliver your order to your table. While I was waiting, I also got a non-alcoholic drink at the bar, a Pacific Breeze ($5). It consisted of pineapple, passion fruit puree, and soda water. A deliciousness cold drink on a hot day. Staff called out my name and delivered my food. Wow! It was one loaded dog. Delicious. I approved of the toppings. If I had chosen, I may have over done it. Staff are super friendly. They were patient when ordering. I enjoyed the relaxed, chill environment. There's also a free standing ATM machine for your convenience.

Basically, you go into it, walk to the back of the shop, order up what you want, and go to your table and they'll bring it to you. Simple as that. They have a truly unique section of food orientated items. My favorite is there alligator sausage dog. But, they have all sizes and shapes of food offerings, including some designed for the vegans out there. Of course, have other items as well. So, even though this place, at least by my understanding, is focused on dogs, you can't find other fun items to eat here, as well. This location also has a self standing bar. From there, you can grab a great selection of beers, cocktails, and mocktails if that's your preference. At the bar, you order separately from ordering your food. Thus, you can have a great experience if you just want to come in and just have a drink and sit back at the bar. You can even talk to the bartender if you want to. Very nice. In terms of layout, they have interior seating, some booths along the one wall, plus a very expensive outdoor patio. So, weather permitting, if you're interested in breathing in some fresh air while you enjoy whatever it is you're eating and drinking at this establishment, it's a great place to do it. Overall, this is a really fun restaurant. I recommend you go there.
