After a physician visit in a nearby complex, my husband and I decided to try Load It for lunch. I can see how the name was acquired, as our plates were heaping with food. The menu has predetermined options and there is also a 'build your own' option. We were greeted immediately and the staff were super friendly and patient! The food line, beverage station, and restaurant seating area were all impeccably clean. I opted for the 'build your own' option. With this option you choose your base (baked potato, fries, tortilla chips, lettuce, or flatbread), then your protein (I chose grilled chicken), and however many toppings you want (some come at an extra charge), and your sauce. Again, one ends up with a very large portion of food. Next time I visit I will try some different options. My chicken was a bit rubbery and the lettuce had a lot of very tough pieces. The fajita veggies and the pico de gallo were great! I tasted my husband's macaroni and it was flavorless. The cheesesteak sizzle looked really good. The dining room has plenty of tables and a small area off to one side that would good to work on a computer. There is a small bar for alcoholic beverages in addition to a regular beverage station. Parking is plentiful in shopping plaza. read more

We used to have a tried and true loaded fry joint in Louisville that I loved until it abruptly closed one day. Once I saw Load It was making its way in I (unshamefully) stalked their Facebook page until they opened. Not only do they have loaded fries, but also spuds and nachos as well... The possibilities are endless!! Salads and flatbreads can be found on their menu, too. As soon as we walked in the employees were so welcoming and friendly. They seemed excited to be there and to show us what they had to offer! You can either order a pre-loaded item from the menu, or build your own. I went with the 'buffalo blitz' loaded fries, which came with chicken, green onions, and ranch. You better come in here hungry, because they give you A LOT of food! It was so good! During a recent errand to the East end of Louisville, my wife and I stopped in to LOAD IT!. We were the first to arrive @ 11AM and were promptly seated and ordered. I got the loaded fries with mac /cheese / chicken pieces. My wife got another selection with grilled chicken and salad greens. Granted, it was a lot of food, but rather pricey and somewhat bland. Add drinks and you are looking at $30 per couple. The place was easily accessed off of La Grange Rd with ample parking. Plenty of tables in the dining room with WIFI accomodations. read more

The people are really nice and knowledgeable of the menu. There are many sides to add. It was a little pricey but the portions were big. For two people with loaded fries and two frozen margarita slushies it was $59. The drinks were $8. The place was quiet for a Saturday evening at 7:30ish. The place is also really clean. read more

Drove from Bardstown to try this and was very disappointed. Girl at the counter asked us what base and we asked if the fries were crispy and she said they were but NOPE. So we had a soggy fry base with over cooked mushy macaroni and then the BBQ stuff on top. read more

Before visiting Louisville, I made a list of restaurants to visit for the week I am in town. LOAD IT! was on my list and I was not disappointed. I walked into the restaurant and was greered right away, I did make it known that it was my first time visiting. All three employees were sharing their beautiful smiles and their positive attitudes. I had ordered the Surf & Turf Baked Potato, I was also walked through what toppings/sauces came with it and what they recommended to add on top, I said yes to all of it. While sitting down enjoying my delicious loaded baked potato, I witness one of the employees assist an older couple, the employee pushed the women in the wheelchair to their table and made sure she was comfortable, while the gentleman carried their tray of food. I noticed a dinner rush was starting to approach, but these young ladies made sure to give all customers their full attention when they came up to counter. Bottom line, this restaurant was clean, the service was excellent and my Surf & Turf Baked Potato had lots of flavors! Thank You to Jasmine, Key and Kortnye! The Food I had is amazing! The service was exceptionally well! The Ambiance is super nice and clean! This FOOD WAS THE BOMB! Steak as nice and tender and the flavors mixed well. Well, unfortunately, I don't have any pictures because I ate it all! My son went out and bought me some load it and he put it in a salad form and I got the chicken Alfredo with broccoli, but I had it in a salad and I added a few other things to it, and I had it with the garlic aïoli instead of the Alfredo sauce I tell you it was so good from the first bite to the last bite. I was so happy I was sitting in my chair doing my happy dance. It's so good. I can't wait to try it on other basis. I'll probably try potato the next, but let me tell you you cannot go wrong with loaded every time I've gone there. The service has been great. The staff is always nice. I really really enjoyed this place so if you're ever over by factory Lane, give them a holler because that is some really good eating. I really can't say enough good things about this place. After my first time eating here I already know this will be my top recommendation to anyone who asks me for a good place to eat. Every bite I took I was mind-blown by the deliciousness. My boyfriend and I ordered the Load It! Sampler with a spud loaded with the load it cheesesteak sizzle and queso (life changing queso), a spud loaded with honey garlic fried chicken bites, fries loaded with BBQ Mac attack, and tortilla chips loaded with the southwest. It was the best meal I've ever eaten. I also want to include the price was very reasonable, especially with the amount of food you get. The owners were the ones who helped put our food together and check us out and they are beyond friendly. I have nothing but praises for this place and knew within my first bite we would be going back regularly. It's a great idea and will probably try it again but they seem to have some kinks to work out. They can't do samplers right now, which was disappointing since the menu was pretty overwhelming. My son did the Cajun Mac spud and he liked it. I had the BBQ Mac spud- the pork and BBQ sauce were good but the macaroni was flavorless and overcooked. My spud needed more butter and sour cream. Overpriced for what you get. Got the Italian Job over fries and Cajun MAC over Tortilla Chips. Ingredients were fresh which is why it got a 2. Tortilla Chips were awful. Was hoping for a good Cajun type Nachos...no. Italian job was Slightly better but overall, go somewhere else cheaper like Chipotle or QDOB. I know it is not exactly the same but cheaper and better. Absolutely delicious! We enjoyed our food and already can't wait to go back next time to try something new!!

The staff at Load It is very friendly and eager to give you toppings to make your food all sorts of yummy!!It's an amazing concept however it just fell flat. We decided to get the sampler (allows for 4 options) in order to try a few things. For the first option, we got a spud with the chili classic and there wasn't enough chili on it, because it soaked into the potato and was very dry. For the second option, we got another spud with the Cajun Mac and there was no Cajun flavor along with being dry due to the Mac not being cheesy (we even added extra shredded cheese). For the third option we got the Italian job on fries and the marinara had very little flavor. For the fourth option, we got the cheesesteak sizzle on fries and this was actually delicious. Our biggest complaint is that we got it to go and none of the cheese was melted even after sitting in the box. The nacho cheese was also cold. We had to put it in the oven for 10 minutes to melt everything. The fries are yummy but could be crispier to hold up to all the toppings. If they can figure out how to melt all the cheese and make the food warmer, it truly would be such an awesome spot. We will come back to give it another try and to get the cheesesteak fries! read more
