I had excellent service from the husband & wife who own this salon. I called to schedule a last-minute appointment (within 30 minutes) & they were able to accommodate me. My long hair was thoroughly washed, hair was cut exactly how I wanted, & they styled it afterwards! It was stunning & I received many compliments. There was another client who had walked in, they didn't rush my service at all - which is common amongst other small salons. I will definitely be coming back & recommending to my family & friends! read more

I needed a bang fix (don't ask!) and a trim. Most places will take appointments only and it's also a Saturday. This place is by appointment only, but I called to ask if they will take walk-ins. You never know if you don't ask right?? A gentleman answered the phone and said they don't normally take walk-ins but since they are slow, I can come in today depending on the service I wanted. I said haircut and he said that's fine. So excited to get my hair fixed and trimmed, I hopped in my car and drove there. This place is easily missed! It's in the middle of car body shops/car lots. The parking area is a little narrow and slightly steep. Be careful pulling in. I walked in and was greeted by a friendly gentleman. He said he'll shampoo my hair first. Nice guy. Keeps the conversation going. Afterwards, a lady came out and started brushing my hair. She asked if I had a picture to show her. I showed her a picture I found on the internet. Really, I just wanted to fix my bangs and trim my roots. She suggested about 3 inches for a healthier root look and I agreed. She didn't tell me her name or asked for mine. She talked about current events and shared some personal stories. Once it came to the blow drying, the "shampoo guy" came out again and helped her blow dry my hair. I asked if they were married and she said yes. They're both so sweet and cute! My shampoo, cut and blow dry/style was $50. It is a little pricier than most places. However she cut it EXACTLY the way I wanted. The place is clean and adorned with modern decor. I would come back here again for my color! read more

I came here because I was looking for a cheap haircut but haven't had good experiences with TGF or Supercuts. I paid $54 for long hair shampoo, cut and style including 20% tip. The haircut was quick and I am very happy with it. The location is in a not great area off Richmond. It has a small private parking lot and the inside is incredibly modern and cozy. I waited for about 10 minutes after my appointment time but compared to other places that is great. My only complaint is that the parking lot was full when I arrived although I'm sure that's not always the case as this was a Sunday afternoon. Update: So sad that I have to update this review and say that I will be looking for a new hairdresser. I came in and asked for a natural look that matched my root color. She gave me two options of darker blondes and I chose the medium blonde that she claimed would match my root color. As soon as it was washed I could see that it was strawberry blonde.. so instead of going darker it was several shades lighter. My hair now requires the maintenance I did not want. When Candie could tell I HATED it she tried to justify it by saying that I asked for this color... for five minutes. Didn't even bother offering to fix this mess. read more

There are three main things that I look for in a hair salon. 1. Quick - If you're one of those people who hate sitting in a salon for hours and hours at a time, this is the place for you! Candie is super quick which gives you time to run all the other errands you had planned for the day. 2. Right Cut - Although Candie is quick, she is consistent. I go in either telling her exactly what I want or by showing her a picture and she will deliver every time. She understands my face structure and frames my cuts to compliment it which allows me to feel confident in her skills. 3. Cost - Candie offers competitive prices compared to other salons around town. I like that I'm getting a great cut with a great price. read more

This is the 1st time I got a professional hair cut in almost 5 years. I was terrified about this. I am trying to grow my hair out and it barely touches my shoulders now. I wanted to get a shape to it without making it it shorter. I know that there wasn't much to work with and Candie did a good job making it pretty. The place itself is very nice and the stuff is friendly. I will be back here for sure read more

Oh yes! Thanks for all your reviews, I have a great new hairstyle! Took an appointment and was accommodated sweetly. Having gone to TGF kinda places before..this was really refreshing. I just had a pic that I showed to Candie and she got it perfect. The experience definitely shows and the service is worth every buck you spend! She also recommended me a great product for my hair. Looking forward to use it. I think I know where to head for my hair needs in Houston. read more

I found my new hairstylist! The first few times Candie styled my hair with loose curls and it looked great. I received many nice compliments with my new look! This past visit I wanted to get it colored a shade lighter and it looks wonderful. Candie and her husband are professional and know exactly how to take care of your hair. They whole place is extremely clean, calm relaxing music, and a beautiful garden area with statues. They are also pet friendly! They are super busy on the weekends, and I usually book my appointments during the week. read more

I've been going to LN Hair Tech for 2 years now, and I don't think I could ever trust my hair with anyone except Candie and her husband, Daniel. This place has by far the best customer service I have ever seen! Candie is a very talented hair stylist. I can come in with any reference picture and she knows right off the bat how to accurately replicate the hair cut to perfection, just how I want it. Her husband, Daniel, is very charismatic and friendly - there's never a dull conversation around the salon! I currently live all the way up in Tomball, TX (about 45 minutes away from LN Hair Tech). But I make the drive anyways because getting my hair cut here is totally worth the drive! Thank you Candie and Daniel for opening your doors and always making me feel welcomed. I leave your salon feeling beautiful and looking my best!! read more

LN Hair Tech - I normally keep my hair long but Candie gave me the confidence to rock the short-hair look this summer! - Hair Salons Near Me - Houston, Texas

I was very impressed with LN Hair Tech. I arrived a bit early for my appointment (about 15 mins) and they got me started almost immediately. They were so fast! I got my hair washed, cut, and blow dried all in less than an hour! The shop is very small and cozy and their dogs wander in and out - which I liked. Daniel and Candie are both very nice and friendly. Daniel is more talkative than Candie, but they are both kind and Candie gave me a very good haircut! When they were blow drying my hair, they both dried it at once - I had never had 2 people drying my hair at the same time. It was kind of cool and definitely more efficient. The prices were great - definitely felt like I got what I paid for (in a good way) and in a very timely manner. I would not hesitate to recommend LN Hair Tech. read more

LN Hair Tech - Before & after. Love my hair cut! - Hair Salons Near Me - Houston, Texas

Update 5/28/14: And yet another day when I woke up and decided I needed a change, of course I go straight to this place because I know they will make my hair look beautiful. My hair sorta grew out/was dyed back to it's original color since the last time I got a highlight... so this time I wanted to do an ombre. Let's just say that everywhere I go, people compliment me on my hair and they always ask where I got it done. Of course, I tell them they MUST go to this place. Thank you Candie and Daniel for always, always being so sweet and being so great. ---- One day, I woke up and decided that I wanted to get my hair highlighted!! As I was looking at places (on yelp) to get it done, somewhere reasonably priced, something with good service as well, I decided to go to this salon! I really had no idea what kind of highlights I wanted, I just showed Candy a picture of something I thought looked good. Since I'm an asian with dark, wavy/curly hair, I didn't know what would look good. I ended up getting blonde highlights all over my hair and I really loved the results!!! When I need a haircut, I'm definitely coming to this place! read more

I now live in far west Houston, so it's not convenient for me to visit LN, but when I need a last minute cut and I can't get it with my Katy hairdresser, I know I can count on Candy! I've been using her for at least one haircut a year for the last 10 years. I have a pretty simple hairstyle, but it's varied in length over the years and she never fails to impress. She and Daniel are so welcoming and I'm always happy to be welcomed into their shop. I'd absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a stylist in the Houston area! read more

I've been coming here almost 4 years. The salon is very nice and clean. I just need showed a photo and she always cut my hair exactly what i wanted. How have I not reviewed LN Hair Tech? I've literally been coming here for over 5 years! Candie is wonderful and so efficient when it comes to cutting hair. Her husband, Daniel, often is the one who answers the phones and makes my appointment. And because my schedule is often all over the place I usually have to make same day appointments and they always fit me in. Even after moving to College Station for a few years I still came back to Houston so Candie could cut my hair, she's that good. I recommend her to anyone who asks about where to get their hair cut. read more

Hands down best hair cut/color I've gotten in a long time. Candie cut my hair to perfection and spent considerable effort to make it perfect. I also had a full highlight done. Between Candie and Daniel, my hair was fully foiled in minutes, not like some salons where it takes 45 minutes to get the foils in. Overall this salon is great, I spent $120 which is well worth the service I received. I don't plan on going anywhere but here to get my hair done from now on! read more

When I'm in Houston, TX and I need a haircut for special occasions like weddings... this is the place to be! Affordable and quality hair styling for guys! 5 Stars for Excellent Service! 5 Stars for Listening to what you need and southern hospitality! Co Lan aka Ms Lan aka Candie cuts my hair with a razor and you can totally tell she has mad skills using that razor with so many years of experience. I love talking to her and her family cause they make me feel like home, and you get that mama-papa business feeling when you come here. They recently moved to their new location right down the street on 3225 Jeanetta St... you can't miss it, they have these eagles statues in front... it's funny looking but you definitely can't miss it...haha So if you're looking for a new awesome hair stylist, you should definitely hit up Candie! =] read more

I am really glad I chose to try out this salon today! It was a unique experience. Candie's husband colored my hair and washed it, then Candy cut my hair. Next, her husband blow dried and round brushed, and at one point Candie jumped in with the straightener while her husband finished round brushing. Lots of attention to detail during the whole process! Very friendly couple. Also a nice, affordable price for a cut, color, and style! I'll definitely be back :) read more

LN Hair Tech - I added some curls once I got home. Absolutely love how healthy and shiny it looks! - Hair Salons Near Me - Houston, Texas

Affordable price and a great haircut. I've been going to this hair salon since I was in high school. I have really thick, long, and corse hair, and Candie has been putting up with it for almost 10 years. She takes walk-ins which is great because I love to spontaneously get my hair cut when I feel like a little change. The cut is always cute and the service is always quick. I've also gotten my hair dyed here several times. She takes her time with the color and makes sure its exactly what I want. You can't go wrong with a cheap yet cute haircut. I'm a fan for life. Btw, I checked out their new location. It very clean, relaxing and welcoming. read more

I moved to Houston few months ago and since I am very picky with my hair salons I went to a place in Cinco Ranch to get highlights thinking they would have very good experience, first of all it was very far from where I live, it was expensive and the service and the work was Horrible!! I let my hair grow a little to let the roots longer and to get highlights redone .. I went today to LN Hair Tech with Candy to give it a try ..... OMG!! I can really say I LOVED Them!! I love how she does everything fast paced and being a family owned business lets you trust them!! I really recommend everyone to go to this beautiful place ... Affordable, comfortable, relaxing, and specially loving your hair after!!!!! Candy and her husband Daniel really know what hey are doing .... I can say this would be my favorite place to get my hair done!! :) read more

LN Hair Tech - Highlights done by Candy! :) - Hair Salons Near Me - Houston, Texas

I've been wanting to get a haircut for months and I finally mustered up the courage to chop off most of my hair. I'm glad I chose LN Hair Tech! I walked in without making an appointment and only had to wait about 5-10 minutes before Candie saw me. I brought a few photos of celebrity haircuts that I liked and Candie chose one for me. It took her about 25 minutes total to recreate a great look on me! While she worked quickly, she was very meticulous and focused on getting everything perfect. The haircut cost me $30 (before tip) because I didn't have my hair washed or styled, which is cheaper than any other haircut I've had at a salon. I'd definitely go back for my next haircut! read more

I've gone to Ms. Lan (Candie) consistently in the past. She's not the most personable person, but she gets the job done. Now she has her husband that helps her, so sometimes you might have both of them blowdrying your hair at the same time! I don't think she straightens your hair unless you request it. I usually do walk-ins after work, and most of the time she's available to cut my hair right away. She's very quick with her cuts, but if you are her only customer in there, she will take more time on your hair. I haven't gone to her in about a year now. The last time she charged me $25, and my hair was about shoulder length. It seems like every time I would come in there, the price would go up a few dollars. So I don't know if it's just the economy that makes her keep jacking up the price or she's just charging whatever she feels like. I'll admit, I'm a cheapo when it comes to hair cutting just b/c most of the time I just want to trim the ends and my bangs, so I don't want to pay big bucks for it. Granted this place is pretty darn cheap compared to Toni and Guy and such, but usually with Asian places, it's cheaper than $25. So I'm on another mission to find another stylist but I know I can fall back to here if I can't find another. Not sure if they have moved to their new location but it would only be like a block or two down from this address. read more

Apparently this is the tale of Goldilocks: Since moving back to Houston, I've bounced around from salon to salon. Either the price was too high (though I love the stylist and the results) or it was priced right but underwhelming results. After putting off a haircut for several months, I was in desperate need. I googled "Haircuts + Zip" and found LN Hair Tech. They were able to fit me in despite being so busy on Christmas Eve Eve. I was a bit nervous because Candie works very fast. However, I am more than impressed with the results. I LOVE my new haircut. I guess this makes LN Hair Tech "just right": great cut and excellent service at a fair price. I've found my new salon. read more

I've been coming here for haircuts several times now, and I've never had a bad experience. In fact, my mom and my sister also love to get their hair done here, and for three very picky, very different women, that's saying something. The place is run by Candie and her husband who are always really nice and welcoming. Sometimes Candie's husband will shampoo my hair, and then Candie will take over and begin to cut and style my hair. Overall, the process is quick and sweet. They are efficient with their time and you get the best results for the best price possible. I've been to salons that charge way more for the results I get here at LN, and the service isn't even as nice. As I said earlier prices are reasonable and well worth haircut/pampering you're about to receive. Efficient and great service, and yes, you will look awesome. read more

I've been going to Candie since 2009, and I haven't trusted any other hair stylist since. Even after moving away to Austin for college, I refuse to get my hair cut anywhere else. I like that I can bring in a photo of a hair style and she'll emulate what I want to frame my face. Even after 6 months-1 year of not having a hair cut, my hair still keeps its shape when growing out. The salon is really cute, clean and quaint. Her and her husband always make you feel really welcomed. Definitely the best haircut, for the best price in Houston. read more

So I went back to LN Hair Tech last week to get my hair cut before going on vacation and unfortunately this cut was not as good as my other haircut in the previous review. When I arrived it started raining and the owner man came out with an umbrella to help me which was nice. I told them that I only wanted a cut (not a wash like last time). I told the lady I wanted a gentle V shape in the back with the left front side stopping at my cheek and my right front side stopping at my chin. This is what I usually get so I know it works for me. I also told her I only wanted an inch or 2 off (though I understand with a V the sides will have a bit more). Unfortunately, I don't think the woman who cut my hair understood 100%. My hair is about 3-4 inches shorter at the longest part. The sections near my bangs are choppy, messy, and the ends look frazzled as if I cut my own hair with a knife but the worst part is that my left and right side of my hair are now uneven. My left side naturally has a slight wave while the right is stick straight. The lady pulled the sections taunt to cut my hair and now my right side is obviously at least an inch if not more longer. I feel so self conscious about my hair now that I'm going today to another place to get my hair fixed. I really wanted to like this place since it's a small business and nice people. However, the lady needs to get a little more training on how to properly cut hair. read more

This is more of a 2.5 star review. I've gone to get a haircut from Candie three times. I was not impressed with any of them. The last hair cut is what made me decided to not go back again. Look, I am really not picky with hair cuts but last time I asked her to trim my side bang using her professional judgment and now it just looks like little chunks of hair on the side. For the record, I have long, thick straight Asian hair. She's charged me $25 twice and $35 once. Not very consistent. I know I said I just wanted a cut and not a fancy styling at the end, but it's a little rude after the hair cut that the hair dresser doesn't even at least comb your hair out from your face and help you find where to part the hair. I'm always struggling to comb my hair out from my face with my hand, while covered in hair and looking for my wallet in the same time. Candie is not very talkative. I really tried to talk to her because I like to get to know people. Frankly, 20% of a hair dresser's job is chatting with people. So service can be better, and cuts needs work. Ugh, need to look for another place for haircuts. read more

Great service and amazing haircut. I can honestly say this is the happiest I've been with a haircut in quite some time. Candie and her husband, Daniel, were very personable and professional. I called in last minute to see if they could fit me in and they were very accommodating. She listened to what I wanted done (no more than 3 inches off, long layers, and side bangs) and added her own suggestions and my hair came out great. The salon itself was very clean and feels very welcoming. Loved the little garden they had in the front. The prices were very reasonable. I have very long thick hair (to the middle of my back) and I came in for a wash, cut, and style and was charged $42 before tip. Definitely beats going to those cookie cutter places at the mall that would charge me two or three times the amount. Overall a great experience and I'll definitely be back again. My fiance wanted me to add that Daniel offered him a beer while he waited and for that alone he's planning on getting his next haircut there. :) read more

Omg yay!! I was super nervous to get my hair cut because I hadn't had it done in so long. I am so glad I did!! Candie did an amazing job, EXACTLY what I wanted, and she did it in literally like ten minutes.
