llaollao (pronounced as yao-yao) is a Spanish frozen yogurt brand founded in 2009. Now with over 200 worldwide locations they definitely have a global appeal, which will now be taste tested in Metro Manila. Their presence is surely a healthy competition for the fro-yo market in the Metro.
August 30, 2016 | My first sight of the brand was through a traditional billboard along Ayala Avenue, but simply banked it on the back of my head for a future reference. I only became more interested after seeing the product through an Instagram post, which had me scheduling a visit the soonest.
At first glance it looks like any another premium healthy yogurt place, white and bright, but the flock of people could not be ignored, so I had to find out for myself. I had Reyjohn scavenge for a table, which he managed fairly quickly, but of course like most self-serviced establishments in the Philippines the table was a garbage pile. Expect such conditions during the weekends.

3 fresh fruits, 2 crunches, and a sauce to sweeten the deal. I had the basic setup, customising only my fruits to a mango, strawberries, and kiwi. I topped my cup with their caramelised cookie sauce, being unsure I requested for a sample, which the attendant accommodated without hesitation. It was recommended for the mix of ingredients, so I agreed, which delighted me when it was just perfect.
Overall a pleasant dessert, that's not too sweet, filled with fresh fruits, and yogurt to bring it all together. Something to come back to, hoping for a branch along High street or just within BGC soon. Yes, their pricing is definitely premium, but it shows in quality. read more
