Which was OK as others were pretty accessible. | On a few holes, a driver is not required, and on others, a long drive buys you nothing. If you are going to play over the Xmas break the greens are fast and it is best to keep your ball below the hole. You have to think your way around this track as the short holes tempt you to take out the big stick when a 5-wood or long iron places you in position A for a birdie. This course has some elevation, so club selection is key on many of your second shots. The greens are fast and run true, which I like. Make sure you visit the snack bar. The people working here are nice, the food is excellent, especially the burgers. During this visit, we had a front-row seat at the Bluebonnet Airshow, which was happening next door at the Burnet Municipal Airport. One nit, you will not finish your round in four and a half hours. Plan on a 5-hour round.

You will get to see some wild life such as deer. They not too afraid of humans either. All there golf carts gas powered. I couldn't imagine an electric golf cart surging the hills.
