LL installed Brazilian Koa hardwood flooring to my whole (except the kitchen) house 10 years ago. Went back to the same store with a piece of my flooring and the sample of Brazillian Koa they had in the store matched my current flooring. Wanted it installed in my kitchen. The flooring they installed in the kitchen (see picture) is NOTHING like the Brazillian Koa sample they had in their store. I have since learned there are multiple kinds of Brazillian Koa. The sample in the store was not the Brazillian Koa that was installed in my house. I knew the width of the wood had changed, but the color should have been the same. Not even close!! When I voiced my displeasure, I was told I had to open all 16 boxes and inspect each piece of wood or the wood was mine. Hate it! Do not use this establishment!! read more

I cannot recommend LL Flooring (Scottsdale location) to anyone especially small business owners. My flooring was delivered to Scottsdale and then sent out of state without unloading it or even giving me the chance to pick it up myself. I received an email from the store manager confirming I could pick up my order Friday, so both my husband and I took the day off work to make the 3-hour drive. At 4 PM the night before, I was told the forklift was "broken" and my material couldn't be unloaded. When I called, the employee was sarcastic and dismissive, and the manager minimized the issue by telling me to "think how we feel." He then claimed he had "just reordered" my product but when I checked through LL Flooring's customer service line, they couldn't even confirm that. Now I've been told I'll have to wait until October 7. This has caused: * Lost wages for me and my husband * Multiple contractor reschedules (at my cost) * Serious delays in opening my dance studio, which depends on this flooring What's worse: LL Flooring has refused to expedite my order, deliver it directly, or provide an in-stock alternative at no cost even though these delays were entirely their fault. This has been the most unprofessional experience I've ever had with a company. Miscommunication, broken promises, and no accountability. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, do not trust LL Flooring with your project. read more

would would rate lower than1 star if possible. I went into Lumber Liquidators with a plank of my existing laminate flooring I purchased from them about five years ago. I showed the store manager and he said he knew that floor, and he just ordered some for another customer. So I ordered the floor. They told me I would have to pay for shipping because they didn't have it local. They said they would call me with the cost. It took me 3 call to them and about a week but I got the cost. Over $500 for shipping which I agreed to because the flooring would match the existing floor I had installed previously. Next issue, the flooring was supposed to be shipped to my home but it went to their store which they admitted they mistakenly sent it to their location. I then had to pay my installer to pick up one of the two orders because they wouldn't deliver it. They still have part of my order and won't deliver it. The biggest problem came when I got the bigger portion of the order to my home, I noticed the new flooring was wider than the existing floor. I contacted the corporates office where after back and forth over 10 days they said they would not do anything to fix the issue even though their website has the specs of the floor at 8.03 inches wide but when it arrived it is actually 8.5 inches wide. Lumber Liquidators stated since it was a close out I was stuck with a floor that is not the same sizes as advertised on their website. I would recommend to not work with a company that will advertise one size and send you another and not stand behind it. read more

Had a very good experience buying some waterproof vinyl flooring from this location. Shopped during Covid and everyone wore masks and they were limiting the amount of shoppers in the store. They even let us take some samples at no cost. They occasionally called to check up on us during the entire process. We were happy with the finished product and was even able to return a box of unused flooring. I would highly recommend them for vinyl flooring. They were quick and professional and had the best prices we could find. read more

Purchased a trim piece to replace an anticipated damaged floor piece. The purchase was made the Fall of 2021. the piece was in stock, however the clerks claimed their credit card machine as well as the computer were not operating. They assured me an e-mail receipt would be sent, paid $60.00 cash. No receipt ever sent. As I did not need this replacement trim piece I went to return the boxed item. No receipt no refund, told to call Customer Care. 4 calls later, no satisfaction. Finally, 6 weeks later, much grief I received the refund. We worked with them to have it installed by Watson installation whose team did an excellent job on a pretty large install. They moved and placed back all our furniture and took great care not to damage anything. Was initially optimistic -- that faded quickly with a couple of key elements. First, the "sample" we were offered to take home and make our decision was 4" by 6" -- not exactly a large sample in order to make the decision. One of the rooms currently has carpet. They wanted a little under $300 to roll up the carpet (approximately 12' X 12'). The disposal fee was approximately another $300 (so ~$600 to roll up a carpet and haul it away). Then there were charges for floor preparation -- that they did not even know whether or not it would need to be done. All confidence lost. read more

In March 2020 I had visited the Lumber Liquidators located in north Scottsdale on Raintree. The sales associate, David, was very helpful in explaining my options and sending me home with samples. Unfortunately due to the pandemic I had to put my project on hold. Fast forward to June 10th I decided it was time to complete my flooring project. Since I had already decided on the flooring I wanted from the samples David had given me. I visited a different Lumber Liquidator (7th St - Phoenix) located closer to home so that I could make my purchase. Unfortunately when I got there at 12:30pm they had a sign on the door that said they were only taking visitors by appointment. So I stood there and called the number on their sign, left a message, and still no return call to date. After I left that location I went online and found the flooring I wanted was on sale. I didn't want to miss out on the sale so I went ahead and purchased the flooring online that evening. The order didn't specify a delivery date. So the next morning I called the original Lumber Liquidators I had visited in early March and spoke with David. He was extremely helpful in looking up my order, and doing whatever he needed to do to take control of the order and offer me a delivery date. He was able to get it delivered to my home that same afternoon. They use a company called Quick-Silver for delivery. Quick-Silver sent out a guy by the name of Victor. Victor was so nice on a very hot day. I understood that my delivery would likely be in the parking lot of my condo complex and that I would need to get the boxes into my home myself. Terrible Experience and Management! - David (Assistant Manager) guaranteed the flooring would be delivered on the 14th but on the 15th informed me that my flooring wouldn't be delivered until the 21st because their delivery truck hit the weight restrictions...which means they cant guarantee delivery at all. - When the flooring was delivered, they delivered 15 of the wrong boxes and luckily my flooring installer noticed before the install started. To rectify this, David sent the boxes within the week BUT, they had a 50 year old woman deliver these boxes, which meant I had to move them all into my home myself (very heavy boxes). When I confronted them about it, I was told that they spent $250 of their store budget and I should blame their hired delivery service BUT I was told by the lady that their warehouse guys were laughing that she had to do the delivery. This means they knew this wasn't right and when confronted gave me an excuse trying to blame the service they hired. - During the aforementioned swap, I had 10 boxes delivered and 15 returned because my contractor overestimated and David told me they would refund them for me with no issue. A week later I had to call and inform David the refund never happened at which time I got more excuses and finally my refund. - During installation, my installers found two boxes worth of flooring that was either deliberately patched or just flawed and bad looking. Their fine print does state that their can be flaws and their name is Lumber LIQUIDATORS, so I do feel responsible for not realizing I was buying outlet flooring. Also, those boxes are opened so I can't return that wood. In the end, I was left paying more to delay my project and had to call and keep them honest every step of the way. Each time I talked to David, I was given excuses about his main delivery center or the messenger service they hired to rectify their bad deliveries, etc. Management is about taking ownership and knowing that every person that handles my transaction represents the Lumber Liquidators brand. Don't make the same mistake I did. Go to AZ Hardwoods as I was reminded by many people along the way that they are the most reliable in the Metro Phoenix area. read more

Customer service once order is placed is non-existent. We contracted with this location to have our flooring installed. They sent someone out to measure, gave us a date of install and then heard nothing else... now almost two weeks later they still have not installed nor have they provided a firm date of when it will be done. Greg their contractor who has a contract with Lumbar Liquidators was terrible. I hate to leave this review for the company but he represents them. He recommended two other contractors to tile my shower etc. and they quit on me halfway through and took my money. When I asked Greg to reach out to them since he vouched for the laborers, he shrugged it off as if it wasn't his problem (and in fact dodged my calls and emails first, before pressuring him to get back to me - totally unprofessional) and I lost my money, then had to hire someone else to finish. It wasn't just a recommendation from Greg either, he has his own contracting business and hired them as his sub contractors. It's a really bad look for Greg and reflects poorly on Lumbar Liquidators because they provided him with a contract as their installer. Never got my money back from the person that he hired who just stopped showing up & responding to me messages/calls, nor from Greg. read more

This review is not about the product, because that is precisely the problem....I have not received my order. It's been over a month since it was placed in mid-August and I was just informed that it would not be in until the middle of next month. Let me back up a bit... In August I placed an order for wooden/butcherblock countertops and was informed they would arrive at this Scottsdale location in two weeks...two and a half at the latest. Today is September 21 and after leaving two voicemails and never hearing back, I finally reached a real person today. She was lovely. Aisha is her name and she was quite helpful, but when she told me that my countertops wouldn't be in until mid-October, I asked why nobody had let me know about the delay. (I hired a contractor to install them, but obviously had to cancel. Now he's backed up until November.) She told me her records indicate that someone called and spoke to me a week ago to explain the problem. That never happened. Whomever wrote that down, lied. Now I am a believer in that we are all doing the best we can, but I am also a believer in accountability. I am sorely disappointed in the quality of service at Lumber Liquidators and warn those of you who are trying to remodel on a timeline, to reconsider ordering anything from this company. I am literally going to be two months behind with my kitchen project and will be lucky to be finished by Thanksgiving. And I might add that I already paid for this order. WARNING. Do not buy bamboo flooring, or any wood flooring, from this company! They do not stand by their product at all, elven when cupping happens within months of installation by the installers they recommend! They blame it on the installer, the glue, moisture in your home (we live in the damn desert!). They offer absolutely no remedy, even after making you take 5-10 photos that clearly show the big ridges popping up at every single seam. Their pricing does not give them an excuse to keep selling products that are defective. Beware. read more
