They should be embarrassed selling this low quality flooring. We got the sienna cherry, the salesperson told me it was extremely durable. It looked good for about three months. It's so bad and people comment about how our floors look. They are 6 years old and look worse than my 90 year old flooring looked. Huge, expensive mistake. I read many of the reviews on this place and all I can say is you get what you pay for. I can't speak to the creepy employees and I think that the customer service could be a bit better but, I have purchased three different flooring products from LL flooring and so far, they have been great. Twice I purchased the highest end floor and they have held up beautifully. If you are going to buy a less than quality product you should expect to only get less than quality results. The third floor I bought was middle of the road and it is certainly wearing like a middle of the road product. The customer service was decent, not outstanding, the scheduling process was easy, and the installation was great. I did not have to wait long for anything so in my opinion I would buy here again. read more

Employees were unprofessional and rude. We stopped in looking for flooring for our basement and no one was in the showroom so we took a quick look around and found a couple of floor options we liked. Suddenly an employee comes out of the back room and just like appears in the doorway. It was honestly very creepy the way he just appeared out of nowhere.. a bit thrown off I turn around and say hi to him and ask if he can tell us if the pergo floors we picked out were waterproof. I also wanted something grainy that felt more like natural hard wood. The employee doesn't greet us he actually says nothing and then shouts at us not to touch anything because of covid. He was so weird and made me feel so uncomfortable that we just left. No way will I give this person my business... get a clue! read more

Terrible customer service. Took almost two weeks to set up a measure for install. I previously had all materials. Calls here being allowed to go to Voice mail after I called for the third time (in three days). Realized this when, after trying to get through twice, I called from a second phone number and it was picked up on the first ring by the manager I was trying to reach. Eventually gave up and hired a private installer. Happy with product. Service is was horrible. Damn shame. read more

I have done hardwood flooring installation, refinishing and repair for many years. Every time a customer insists on using flooring they pick out from Lumber liquidators I try my best to dissuade them! The results after using Lumber Liquidators flooring has always been a disaster! Only about 2/3rds of the boxes purchased can be used! The milling of the wood is consistently awful! The joints don't meet up leaving gaps in the flooring! I repeatedly find pieces that have finish on only part of the board or no finish at all! Many pieces have huge black spots throughout the board. Leaving those boards in the floor makes the floor look like someone went across the floor spilling bottles of India Ink on the floor! I refuse to warranty any floors I install using wood from Lumber Liquidators! Be warned! This is what you will discover using this flooring! Returns of bad boxes in nearly impossible also! read more

Went in today to buy 300 square feet of hardwood floor. Two people working, well really just talking to each other! After 15 minutes the male employee asked if we were all set. Well gee we've been here 15 minutes and your just now asking? Found flooring that wS on sale, but then the " manager " told us he marked it wrong and it was actually $4.96 more per square foot. After talking with Aaron and bringing some samples home we went back and purchased some flooring that my husband will install. My husband had many questions that were easily and honestly answered. I bought laminant flooring, baseboard, and padding from lumber liquidators this week. They have a great selection to choose from and really good prices. There website is very helpful in getting an idea of what you like/need and prices. The guys at the store were helpful. Of course they tried to upsell me but I explained that my budget was like $0 and my real priority was getting rid of the crappy rugs at my condo and that i was planning on putting down some throw rugs and understood that the flooring i was choosing was not going to last forever. A whole bunch of Laminant flooring at $0.69 a sq ft= $314.36 5 rolls of foam underlayment (100 sq ft per roll)=$79.95 88 ft of white 5in baseboard at $1.59 per linear foot=$ 139.92 $33.39 in tax total bill= $567.62 (enough to floor 420 sq feet getting my moms boyfriend to pick it up at the store for me, bring to my condo and carry it in PRICELESS! read more

We had an unacceptable experience. The company insisted they will NOT email our quote, we must come in the showroom. When I finally received the quote, a week later, they had quoted me on a more expensive floor than we had originally requested and was put in the system. They added services that we did not need or request . I was told they prefer customers to come in for their $25.00 quote because it can be "confusing". The estimate was itemized and very easy to read. What was NOT on the itemized quote was my $25.00 credit towards materials and labor.We were forced to speak to an assist manager onl about these issues, who has no authorization to rectify any of this issues. I would NOT hand them more money. We lost trust in them.We lost our $25.00 "measuring fee". Better than loosing thousands of dollars to them. Be aware!Bad management at this store. read more

They under ordered our flooring making us have to go back the day of installation to pick up more boxes of flooring. Stay Away! I was just coming here to review their bad return policy of 30 days with a 20% restocking fee, none of which were mentioned when I asked if I could return a box if I bought too many (should have read the small print) but now I see they are selling potentially poisonous flooring and when called out on it sold it at clearance! Google "Lumber liquidators Formaldehyde" for more information. They know they are selling a dangerous product and continue to do so. Maybe it's a good thing they have horrible customer service or I never would have known my flooring might be making me sick. Our new flooring does look nice. However my husband and I have had a terrible time with the communication between the store and the installers and the store and us along with the installers and us. They didn't give tell us certain information until last minute and expected us to already know. The installer's wife came out to take measurements and didn't put the correct measurements in the contract and so the installers said they weren't sure if they had enough flooring to finish a certain section as they didn't know the measurements. You pay for an appliance fee for the installers to move them and no tells you that they can't unplug or disconnect them as it's a liability until they're about to install the flooring. What do you pay for then? Calling the store to discuss some issues was no help either as they only said "sorry it happened, can't do anything about it". What kind of customer service is that? My husband and I have no plans on doing business with them again. Im very disappointed. read more

I had a great experience with the staff .They were very helpful in explaining the different products that they have with out putting pressure to purchase the most expensive. The manger , Chris Dancoe, was a great help finding me find the right color and the quality of the wood that I was looking for in ten minutes and he made sure everything was ready for pick up.His mannerism, professionalism and answering my emails on a timely fashion made this process a breeze.The floor is installed and looks classy and elegant. Low prices but do NOT use their "guaranteed" installers or trust they will order what you requested. We have purchased flooring from them numerous times as part of bigger rennovations. Earlier this year, we wanted to put in engineered wood flooring in our basement and our contractor couldn't do the job. So we used JG flooring, an authorized installer. It was bad and only got worse. Lumber Liquidators didn't order what was requested twice, delaying the completion of our project for 2 months. Even JG Floring (writing a separate 1 start review for them) said the Braintree location was horrible and they hated dealing with them. Having had numerous problems with the installation, which the installer agreed was completely the result of poor installation, Lumber Liquidators referred us to HSS, their warranty company. HSS did not return phone calls, dragged their feet. It was only when I started calling the senior executives that I got a response and even then it took another month. We started this project last February and it was just completed this week. My advice, OK to order materials from LL but you need a contractor who will mico manage them and NEVER use one on their installers. read more

Aaron Collins was the best. He made sure he found and checked a large amount of bamboo flooring that was discontinued. We live in Phila., and could not find this discontinued flooring anywhere. Although the store was extremely busy and Aaron was short two guys, he made the time to serve us. Withiin 2 days, Aaron found a way to have the flooring shipped to us at a great price. He also kept in contact with us while he was in the process of helping us. He made sure that we know that he did not forget about us. IF you need flooring and like what the store has, this is where you should purchase. We have not gotten this kind of service and help anywhere! After searching for flooring for many months and finding one that happened to be discontinued, Aaron did not disappoint. We appreciated his dedication and hard work. THank you Aaron. read more

(see what i did there?) this is all terribly domestic and difficult to make entertaining, so here are the bullet points: - got a great quality laminate flooring here during a great sale. - expect to pay about 25% less than the big-box competitors (and closer to 50% less if you catch a sale). - the guys who work here know what they're doing and can offer excellent suggestions and tips. - trim pieces and baseboard available, also about 25% less than the big-box guys. - installation is available (technically from independent contractors), also less than big orange's and big blue's independent contractors (word on the street is lumber liquidators pays a much higher percentage of the install fee to the installers, so, if that means something to you, there it is). - no hassle returns for unused materials (but a 20% restocking fee for the flooring only - trim and other stuff is refunded 100%). - bin ends is right on the other side of the parking lot so, you know, you can grab some wine or beer or whatever for when you're floors are being done/done. read more

I never spoke directly to Lumber Liquidators - rather, I was put in touch with one of their flooring installation contractors: JG Flooring Installers in Quincy MA. I was very impressed with them when they came to my house to do the measurements - very thoughtful, asked about inspection, gave great advice, etc. However, when I was told I would receive an estimate by the end of the next day, I never received it. 3 emails and 3 weeks later, I have yet to receive an estimate. Needless to say, I am refusing to do business with them. read more

i bought laminate flooring for playroom in basement, it was already finished and i was replaceing the floor. i bought a discontinued plank flooring on line, no returns allowed. the brochure said great for basements, great for humid areas, guarenteed. i called customer service and they verified the product was recommended for all levels. one month after professional installation it started to buckle and bubble and literally expand 2 inches . the entre floating floor came up. the installer came back and cut edging 2 inches all around. it still expanded and buckled and popped up . they would not replace or repair. they would not admit thier floor is junk and insiisted in was installed improperly...which of course it was installed properly . i noticed the product was removed from thier website adn brochure. do not recommend dealilng with them or buying from them! read more

I have to admit, I've had two good experiences with this store, but it's the one time that something goes wrong that really makes you pull your hair out. I placed an online order, called the store as instructed by the website to confirm availability of product and that it was ready for pickup. The store said no problem. I showed up and there was only one person in the store who was on the phone with a customer. After waiting 15 minutes for him to finish, he looked up my order only to tell me that I owed a balance. I reminded him that it was an online order and that I had already paid. He called his store support line and after waiting on hold for 10 minutes the agent who answered couldn't figure out what went wrong and said he'd have to call the store back later. I was sent on my way without my order and no promise of a call or e-mail when my order was ready. I called the following afternoon to see if my order issue had been resolved, no answer and so I left a voicemail. Waited 2 hours and got no callback. Called again, someone answered and confirmed my payment finally processed and my order was ready for pickup. So after two trips and lots of waiting I will finally have my order. Not really a story of convenience, and hardwood flooring isn't cheap, so it would be nice to show a little compassion for the working stiff who has to save up months to buy your product. read more

WARNING!!! DO NOT Buy anything at this location. My girlfriend bought flooring for our living room. The many packages of wood flooring were bent and warped. We had to drive an hour there and an hour home on 2 occasions. They placed blame on our contractor instead of acknowledging their terribly bent and warped flooring. They wouldn't take back 2 of the 6 packages of flooring and even charged us both times to exchange and re-buy. Our contractor tried to talk to the guy we worked with at this location and he was hung up on. It was really bad. Common sense! You sell bent and warped flooring, we should be able to come back and have it replaced with no charge and an apology. That's going above and beyond. Instead they blame the contractor, charge even more $$$, and have combative attitudes. This place doesn't get it. Really awful product and even worse follow up support and service. Can't stop everyone, but.... If you're looking for a horrendous product, overcharging, verbal altercations, combative attitudes, waste of time and money along with a major inconvenience, this is the place for you! read more

I purchased too little of the laminate flooring when I was redoing my son's bedroom so I popped into the Braintree stop to purchase what was remaining - about ten feet. Normally, I would have needed to buy an entire box. The store clerk, acting as if he was being helpful, found an open box in the warehouse and sold it to me at a discounted price because he understood that I just needed a few pieces. I brought it home and all of the pieces were damaged. All of them. When I called back, he said, "of course they were damaged! It's an open box." WHY ON EARTH WOULD I PURCHASE DAMAGED WOOD WHEN I AM RENOVATING A ROOM??????? He wouldn't take the box back and told me I needed to go to West Roxbury to purchase more - because they didn't have any naturally - and purchase more at full price. The salesman was a rude, swarmy, asshole and I would never recommend Lumber Liquidators in Braintree ever again. The only reason I even gave them two stars is because of the Nashua store, where I originally purchased the first batch. Quick, efficient and helpful. read more
