I came here for my first tattoo on December 12, 2019. They we're doing a Thursday special, any 3x3, 3 color tattoo for $50. My sister took me here on my birthday, and it's a birthday present I will forever cherish. Mike, (I believe) has done both of my tattoos. He was extremely kind, talked me through the whole process and even let me record him tattooing me. My first tattoo was the Great Wave of Kanagawa. Growing up with extreme Japanese influence, this tattoo had significant meaning. It was painful, but manageable. I was constantly told what exactly he was doing, and whenever I needed I break I was able to let him know and he would stop. (It was my first tattoo, dont judge). The color was extremely vibrant, and my skin took it extremely well. My second tattoo, which is also extremely important to me, a rose for mental health, was done on January 30, 2020. Although the thinner lines have faded, the tattoo is still extremely beautiful considering it's about a year old. I absolutely adore it, and it is a permanent reminder to take care of myself. Both tattoos came with SaniDerm, which is like a sticker placed over the tattoo to keep it clean. It was extremely useful considering I have no idea how to take care of tattoos. Leave it on for however long they tell you, and that's it! Peels off easily and keeps colors bright! I have attached photos showing when I first got my tattoos, vs what they look like right now, on Jan 6, 2021. I love these tattoos and I'm so glad that they turned out as I was expecting. read more

I came in for a nose piercing and left with a new tattoo too! Piercing prices are very reasonable compared to other places in Denton. Macy pierced my nose , she was very quick which I liked! She told me to take a deep breath and within 30 seconds we were done. I had gotten my nose pierced 4 other times and this by far was the least pain I've experienced. Alyssa was working the front desk , she was very sweet! I noticed the apprentice special for $40 tattoos and decided to get one. Alyssa noticed I was unsure of the placement and even cut out the tattoo from the paper so that I could see where I liked the placement to be before doing the stencil. Alyssa ended up doing my tattoo and she was great! She had to stop to answer the phone during the tattoo which I didn't mind because she is a great worker!! She was nice to talk to and I overrall think her line work was great. I would love to get another tattoo from her and can't wait to see how much she blossoms throughout her tattoo career. They were pretty busy when I came in but it only took around an hour to get a piercing and a tattoo. I will definitely be back!! Big shoutout to Alyssa though! read more

I went to Lizards Ink just to have my tragus jewelry put back in after having to remove it. It had only been out for a few hours. No one in the shop was wearing masks, there was a large group of kids (young teens) playing pool and offering each other beers. When the woman went to put in my piercing, she kept complaining that her fingers were too fat to get it in or to twist on the end. Then, after inserting the jewelry, she applied the heavy clamp to the jewelry, and told me to hold it "so it won't just dangle from your ear", while she grabbed another tool that she exclaimed was broken. She eventually was able to get the jewelry in and put together. Two days later, my ear is aching and potentially infected. I absolutely wouldn't go again to have jewelry changed out, and 100% would not get a new piercing there. read more

Liked this place so much that I decided to give this a better more thorough review. After taking my oldest daughter to Pin Cushion , located in Frisco , TX (HORRIBLE REVIEW) to get her eyebrow pierced, I found this establishment. So glad I did. People were awesome, place was awesome, and piercings were awesome. I've brought both of my daughters here to get piercings with no infections, which after reviewing Pin Cushions reviews they seem to have a problem with sanitation which leads to infection. Hey I'm just a nurse and I would never recommend Pin Cushion to anyone wanting a piercing. Both of my daughters have had multiple piercings here and not one issue. The place is very chill and loved the decor. Haven't met the owner yet but I'm sure they are Boss compared to Kim from the worst establishment ever in Frisco. The piercer there is the most crabby lady, she was rude, I went to go get my nose ring changed, she put a stud in my nose and it stuck out so much and then she questioned why I was pushing it out, when it was literally touching the other side of my nose, which was way too big, when she takes my original hoop out she breaks it, and offers to switch it to a easier hoop because she said she wasn't experienced in changing the screw ball hoop, very horrible experience, not only did she break my original jewelry, she kept pinching my nose with the clamp, when my nose has already been healed for years so it shouldn't have hurt at all. If I could give this place a zero star, definitely do not get a piercing here! She doesn't not need to be doing it. read more

I wanted to get my nipples pierced so bad and went in to get them done by a girl named Macy. She pierced them and didn't explain anything on how to care for them and cautions. I had to go back 2 weeks later because the bars were too tight. I went back a 3rd time a week later because they still hurt and the manger told me they were fine. I then later went to Aces tattoo and asked why my nipples were so sore and the lady told me that the piercer pierced through my areola. I immediately had to take them out. DONT GO TO LIZARDS FOR NIPPLES!!! if you do go there don't have Macy do them. she's very unprofessional. read more

I got my nipples pierced by Macy and it was the worst experience. She didn't provide aftercare instructions, didn't explain what she was doing, and was definitely in a rush. This did nothing to ease my nerves. I've done my research on the whole process and the lady at the front desk said that she'd gotten piercings from her before. She said that Macy would tell me to do 2 deep breaths before piercing me. However, Macy literally shoved the needle in so harshly on my FIRST breath. I wasn't expecting that sudden pain and force on my first breath, so of course I jumped and tensed up. By the time it was over, one of bars was noticeably crooked. I brought it to her attention and she just said: it'd heal straight, it was my fault because I jumped, and I could come back in 2 weeks to get it redone. The experience was so traumatizing that I don't even want to go back. After laying in bed and crying because of the pain... I went to a different piercer at another shop the same day (one with 7+ yrs of experience) and he said that it shouldn't have hurt that bad, the bar wouldn't straighten once it healed, and that what I experienced as a whole wasn't professional. He had to take it out, which was so painful because she used EXTERNALLY THREADED JEWELRY. Any good piercer knows to only use internal. External is like tiny knives and causes rips and micro-tears to your nipple, which makes you subject to infection. Get tattoos here, NOT PIERCINGS!!!! read more

I made an appointment to get my a name tattooed, they didn't even smile or greet me they were really rude i felt uncomfortable, this lady with blonde hair did my tattoo and she did a terrible job, she only went over the tattoo once and she rushed through it. i followed the rules for healing i didn't get it wet for 2 days and i kept it moisturized and i didn't scratch it, but after a week i started noticing that it had missing ink on some of the letters and the lines were crooked, i decided to let it heal completely before assuming but now it looks faded theres spots where theres no ink, it was very pricey for a small tattoo i am very upset, its my fathers name and i was looking forward to it, don't recommend going to that lady. read more

Good people, they just can't tattoo a straight or even line to save their life. That or they just don't care to.

I can't speak on any tattoos but I do know from personal experience this is not the place to get a piercing. I came in for a cartilage piercing and i was given no paper work about my piercing or any instruction I also wasn't given an option to pick out jewelry and I also wasn't given cleaning solution for it or even able to have the option to buy cleaning solution for it. On top of that I noticed the placement didn't seem right when she was done piercing it. she said "it looks crooked but it's not, you just have to have it placed a certain way". I decided to go to another shop (aces) to get another opinion because I was worried about it and the other piercer said the jewelry was way to large for the area and it was also pierced incorrectly and that it was in fact crooked.... She also said that it would never heal correctly because of the placement. She let me have the option of keeping it but she said if it was her ear she would take it out... so end of story I took my piercing out. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more
