Great cheese burgers and fries. Two types of flavored fries, regular or spicy(mild). Stop by and support this great place.

I eat Slims about once a week. It's located right next to my office. So on busy days where I need…read moreto grab food fast and get back to work I order online and walk over to get it. I've tried several different things from here. Let me tell you about my favorites. The highlights. There are three. 1. The chicken tenders with sweet Thai chili. This sauce is the best if you ask me. I sometimes go for mango habanero. But my absolute favorite is the Thai. I'm not even going to comment on the chicken. It's fried chicken. It's pretty good. The end. 2. Fried mushrooms. Look, I know it's not for everyone. But my absolute favorite thing about Slims are this mushrooms. I get them every damn time. They're horribly unhealthy. They're freakishly greasy. But, omg, they're amazing. 3. Strawberry lemonade. No longer available. I hope they bring this back. Their strawberry lemonade got me hooked on lemonade. Never was much of a fan until I decided to go out in a limb and try it. I instantly fell in love. Man, of all the chicken places I think this is the best. I know people are super in love with Christian Chicken - and I like them, too - but I just think Slims is better. Sorry bout it. Go give it a try. Funny story, my bosses boss (a senior chief with the navy) came to town one day to visit my office. I was out of the office all day so I never really saw him. The next day he called me. He said, "PS3, have you ever tried that chicken place?" I told him I had. He said, "Have you tried the cayenne chicken sandwich?" I told him no. He said, "You need to try it. That's all. I just wanted to tell you that, bye." It's funny because he literally only ever calls me if there's a problem to fix. This day he just wanted to brag in Slim Chickens. Lol

Lunch at Que49 Smokehouse…read more My wife and I had lunch at Que49 Smokehouse in Jonesboro. It is the kind of place that instantly jumps into your "must-visit" list if you love real BBQ. All of their sauces are great - Original, Hot Willie's, Vinegar Sauce, and Cranberry Cayenne. I started with the "Ultimate Reuben" and it absolutely lives up to its name! Rich, smoky beef and pork belly pastrami piled high with tangy sauerkraut, melty Swiss, and Russian dressing on perfectly toasted marbled rye. It's the kind of sandwich you plan future visits around! The Burnt Ends were textbook - tender, caramelized, and deeply smoky without being overly sweet. The Tri-Tip Sirloin was equally impressive - juicy, sliced just right, and seasoned to let the beef shine instead of hiding it under sauce. (It was a bit too chewy for my wife but I thought it was perfect!) My wife loved the Que Fries with pulled pork. Crinkle cut fries smothered in house-made cheese sauce, baked beans, green onions, and jalapeños, then topped with that beautifully smoked pork. It's over-the-top in the best possible way, like BBQ nachos leveled up. A big part of what makes Que49 special is the pedigree behind it. Owner Skip Steele is true BBQ royalty! He's the former pitmaster and patriarch of Pappy's Smokehouse, Bogart's Smokehouse, and Dalie's Smokehouse in St. Louis, all consistently ranked among the very best BBQ spots in America. You can taste that experience and attention to detail in every bite here. Jonesboro is incredibly lucky to have Que49 Smokehouse. If you're anywhere nearby and you care about great barbecue, this place is absolutely worth the trip.
