I think this is only the second online review I've ever left but Volt Doctors provided such amazing…read moreservice that I was compelled to write. A tree unexpectedly took down my power line on a Saturday and pulled the entire power meter and pole off my house. Since it was a weekend my usual electrician wasn't available and he recommended Volt Doctors. Their 24 hr dispatcher immediately answered and they had an electrician on site within two hours on a Saturday evening. Erik, helped get my generator running and hooked up, and an hour after that I had an estimate and repair plan in hand. On Sunday and Monday Summer was in frequent contact with updates and by Monday afternoon the repair was complete and good as new! The job came in under the projected time and under budget, so they reduced the cost to the real hours worked. I can't speak highly enough about Volt Doctors, THIS is how you run a business!

We moved to North Carolina from the west coast which means you don't have a network of plumbers and…read moreelectricians, and mechanics and such... It is such a vulnerable situation. My daughter bought a home and it need some electrical work done to fix a few minor things and to hardwire some flood lights, patio lights and other projects. After a first attempt with a company that charged a service fee ($129) and sent 3 men that did absolutely NOTHING that we needed...I had the lucky fortune of finding Volt Doctors. The owner is a very nice and hard-working local man businessman that knows his stuff. They were able to work on many items on my list and I am excited they will be coming back to give the house a complete check for older sockets and some loose plugs. (Clearly I don't know the correct terms) - But I DO know what it feels like to have someone NOT take advantage of me. THANK YOU Volt Doctors for running an honest business with reasonable pricing and good quality work!

Update to my original posting: The Owner reached out to me today and addressed my concerns around…read morepricing on the initial bill and the estimate of the pending job. I'm satisfied with the outcome of that discussion and have no further concerns over pricing. They earned my business through their effort to make things right. Pros: Prompt response & service Knowledgeable & highly professional Technician Reliable/flexible-Rescheduled appointment to an earlier time slot with no issues Cons: May be cost prohibitive for some In my case: 192.43 Diagnosis fee 779.38 for services rendered: Total cost was 971.81 1) Diagnose garage light fixture not working (ballast/lighting was replaced on (2) units) 2) Estimate to replace a fixture on the outside of home (lighting replaced with a flood light fixture) 3) Estimate for an future install of an outlet in the master bath. Estimate was provided and totaled 868.36 for parts/labor/inspection permit admin fee Summary: I've had other companies out and have experienced poor results. In contrast the work that was performed by the Volt Doctors Tech was done pristinely. I don't recall the Tech's name...he was a quality minded individual...& took great care in performing the work yet worked efficiently (job was completed in under a hour or so).

Do I thought now was the right time to get a generator! I bought a Generac generator from Costco, via Generator SuperCenter, and they performed the installation. The workmanship was fantastic, and my consultant , Nick, was super helpful. He basically held my hand through the whole process, and managed the timeline. They handled the permitting, and the approval with my HOA, the gas technicians, installing the gas pressure sensors and new gas lines, as well as the after inspection with the City. The city inspectors only had minor comments/concerns, which the team at Generator SuperCenter took care of quickly. Once complete, Nick came out and showed me how to operate and set up the weekly service and maintenance tests. If I had any issues, I could contact the service team through the app and schedule any service requests! The Generac mobile app is also helpful to see the status and history of my generator, and super helpful -- especially if you're away! Value wise, I thought the price was very reasonable. The price was all inclusive and I just paid the initial down payment and then the balance the day the workmen came. I bought through Costco, so at the end I got $1600 gift card to spend at Costco. If I had to do it again, I'd do it in the spring or fall, as they had to shut off my electricity for 5-6 hours. One last tip, make sure you keep records of all paperwork and payments, as this is also proof for improvements made to your home. Definitely happy with my investment and the work done by Generator SuperCenter
