DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY TO FULFILL YOUR ORDERS…read more I ordered two bottles of ear cleaner from Ren's Pets for my dog. Since I was paying $14 for shipping and handling, I added a few low-priced, light-weight items to the order. Much to my surprise, I received a box containing the light-weight items but the bottles of ear cleaner that I really needed weren't there. There was no mention anywhere of there being a backorder so I tried to check for information online. There was no way to check the order status since I hadn't opened an account. I called and left a detailed message asking about the missing items and shortly after that I received an email from someone named Amanda saying the following: "they were on back order and since the back order total was under $20.00 they were cancelled" I replied to Amanda with the following: "I really appreciate the quick reply but I don't understand. Why would you cancel part of the order without even advising me instead of just waiting and shipping everything I ordered together? If I place another order for the ear cleaner now, your website will charge me shipping again and that's not fair. Please either ship me the two bottles of ear cleaner that I ordered or credit me the full price of the shipping and handling and I will place the order again." Amanda immediately replied with the following: "Now in the e-mails we send for the confirmation of your order we do mention towards the bottom that any backordered items that are under $20.00 they cancelled and you are not charged for them. I do apologize but since they have been cancelled as mentioned we can't ship them out." It's a really bad business practice to charge someone $14 for the shipment of four light items and two heavy ones and then simply choose not to deliver the two heavier items, without even so much as notifying the client! I replied to Amanda pointing out that Ren's Pets could've made this right and gained a loyal customer for life. Instead they kept my $14 and hid behind the small print at the bottom of on an order confirmation...which is obviously emailed to the customer AFTER the order was confirmed. There is no shortage of online stores that actually fulfill their orders properly. Save your money and spend it on a company that delivers ALL of the products you ordered.

I did everything right and did what they asked, and paid for my $90 dog food as I always do, but was sent the wrong order. I tried to dispute this but they wanted me to bring the incorrect items to a store to return them for a refund, when I wasn't charged for these incorrect items, I was charged for the dog food I never received. I emailed back right away and their customer service has not not been responding to me. I have been loyal and respectful, but I have had it. They did not offer me the food I paid for nor did they even offer me a refund. Extremely disappointed with their customer service for an issue THEY created not even me...will NEVER shop here again and am disputing the charges with my bank. Due to Petmax + courier delays and the product becoming unusable for its intended purpose after discovering health issues with my cat, I contacted Petmax before the delivery was completed. Petmax instructed me to refuse delivery to receive a full refund, but the courier entered my building unauthorized, left the package in a common area without my consent, and removed my ability to refuse it. When I tried to resolve the issue with Petmax, I was required to follow a return process I cannot complete due to my disability, yet I had to disclose it to request basic assistance and proper application of their policy. Despite this, I was offered store credit minus $17 shipping fees or a physically impossible return method. Petmax stated they work with several couriers and those couriers had limitations, which is why I was refused accessible return. Upon research, the information Petmax provided appeared inconsistent with published policies from their courier network and the available courier pickup options, that offer paperless return pickup services. Other customers are allowed returns and full refunds but I am excluded from it because I have a disability that makes certain acts physically not possible for me.

They called me recently about Christmas grooming "booking up fast", I mentioned my concerns again and asked that they be passed along. Still, no one called back. She does get anti anxiety medication before grooming as per my vets recommendation and thus calms her down. I had a terrible experience with the first person who groomed her at this location. My dog was difficult to groom and she gave up. They called me and handed my dog to me soaking wet! In the middle of winter when the temperature was -15. I then tried another groomer at this same location. For the past few grooms, she advised my dog was fine during grooming, "her usual self". I always ask after every groom about how my dog was. My last appt was a few weeks ago. I again asked how things went, and was told "fine". Today I call to make an appointment and I'm told there's a note on my file that they " do not feel comfortable grooming my dog for safety reasons". Really? This is how you treat clients?? I specifically asked after last appointment how things went and was told "fine". I get it if you no longer want to groom my dog because she's harder to groom, I guess you only want EASY jobs considering the $130 I pay each visit. Plus tip. But why lie to my face and say things were fine if they were not?!?! To be told unexpectedly that you no longer wish to groom my dog is heart breaking. Additionally, had you been honest and told me this after last appointment, I could have spent the last few weeks finding another groomer. Now I'm left scrambling to find someone to groom my dog last minute. Extremely poor communication and service! The groomer involved is Amanda. I would absolutely not recommend this place. They charge very high fees and apparently only want easy jobs. This is not okay. Perhaps be honest with clients up front instead of sneakily dropping them as clients by leaving notes.

The prices weren't bad at all. Plus it's a Canadian company unlike Pets Mart and Pet Valu. But this is the first time I had heard of Bark & Fitz. Looks like they are only located out west. I loved the cookies display. Looking at it makes me forget they are only for dogs and not humans. Dogs are so lucky lol There was also grooming on site. I could stand all day and watch the cute dog being groomed. Super cute! It looks like on the weekends is when it gets busy for grooming so it's definitely wise to book an appointment. My dogs loved the treats Alberta Bison (100% Bison ingredients) and Select beef strips (100% beef). In fact, one dog who is usually so gentle snatched the treat from my hand. Must be good ! There was a photoshoot display at the back for those who are bringing their furry friends in for X'mas. Apparently there will be a photographer snapping pet portraits in mid December ! The owners were super nice. They took the time to explain the products to me and I ended up getting a few things. Also lots of awesome items on discount at the back! Lots of beds (but I bought two of them ha!), jackets for winter, boots, etc. There are also items for other furry friends. I'm definitely coming back here again.
