Had such a great experience today at this Petmax! Came in looking for kibble for my poor pup who…read morehas about a million allergies and intolerances. I thought it was going to be a difficult shopping trip but Emma made the experience so amazing! She was so patient as she had to show me so many foods before finding something that works but she never made me feel rushed and her knowledge was incredible. I was totally impressed, she is clearly passionate about what she does. she is a great face for the company and you should totally ask for her next time you stop by!

Due to Petmax + courier delays and the product becoming unusable for its intended purpose after discovering health issues with my cat, I contacted Petmax before the delivery was completed. Petmax instructed me to refuse delivery to receive a full refund, but the courier entered my building unauthorized, left the package in a common area without my consent, and removed my ability to refuse it. When I tried to resolve the issue with Petmax, I was required to follow a return process I cannot complete due to my disability, yet I had to disclose it to request basic assistance and proper application of their policy. Despite this, I was offered store credit minus $17 shipping fees or a physically impossible return method. Petmax stated they work with several couriers and those couriers had limitations, which is why I was refused accessible return. Upon research, the information Petmax provided appeared inconsistent with published policies from their courier network and the available courier pickup options, that offer paperless return pickup services. Other customers are allowed returns and full refunds but I am excluded from it because I have a disability that makes certain acts physically not possible for me.

Its been 5 weeks since we took our yellow lab in to be groomed at Canine Cottage, and his skin is…read moreSTILL scabby after the bath they gave him in a 'shedding solution' burned his skin !! Normally, we can keep up with his shedding, but due to my husbands failing health and a back injury I suffered, we were unable to keep up with a regular brush/combing schedule. I should also mention that our Morgan is my husbands dog guide. Upon picking him up (just over 2 hours after dropping him off) the groomer told us not to attempt to brush or comb him for a couple of days as 'his skin may be tender after all the combing'. For the next 2 days Morgan was very lethargic and drank large amounts of water. When we stroked him, he would cringe and tremble. I gave him a week to recuperate and got the comb out. That's when I was shocked to discover he was covered in scabs from his head to his tail! I immediately called the groomer and explained what was going on. The woman was extremely rude and said it couldn't have anything to do with them! I took him directly to our vet where we've been going for over 30 years and were told it was a severe reaction to the 'shedding solution'. They gave him antibiotics and suggested we take the bill to Canine Cottage for reimbursement. The head groomer threw the bill at me and told me to "get the hell out of her shop NOW!!" When I pressed the issue further, she threatened to call the police! NEVER EVER allow these people to get their hands on your dog! Their blatant disregard for our dogs well-being, refusal to take any responsibility for their actions, and appalling response to our concerns are disgusting! After 5 weeks our dog is still suffering from the experience and his hair is lifting off his skin in clumps as the scabs let go. He couldn't even be harnessed to do his job for 2 weeks because his skin was so tender, which caused alot of problems with my husbands mobility as he relies on his dog to go out. These people don't deserve to remain in business and I will be sure to continuously express that to everyone and anyone who will listen!

This place needs to be shut down...from what I experienced they treat the animals poorly and the patrons horriabley since my dog has been home he has basically retreated back to the way he was when we first got him...scaried quiet not eating and drinking again, clearly something happened there to reverse this dog who was a abused rescue. Never again will we bring the dog there and do not recommend anyone brings their animals there

I could've set a banana on my counter and got that for free. I call and speak to management - she says it's bc of the temperature ?? And when they're "too hot in the reptile room they grow wings and fly some of them". Like huh?? SoI try to explain I'm very experienced here - I'm retired but used to be very big in the reptile industry and bred thousands of my own fruit flies - and said I'm sorry but you're wrong. flightless HYdei HAVE wings and are genetically predisposed to not flying. It's a GENE. I told her yours are tainted with regular flying fruit Flies. Her answer - I'm not going to argue with you, you can just give them back. Then she repeats the same answer of why I have "some" flying around. They're ALL flying. I explained the gas would be more to drive there and return them, that I was now more concerned over the bad info she was pushing considering. She repeated the same untrue info on flightless fruit fly genetics. ?? Then she kept adding I'm not going to argue. My only concern for posting this is - what else do these workers push as qualified knowledgeable info to customers that is completely wrong?? It's a simple product and issue but her info on this is incorrect. I ran a hot professional breeding facility for 18 years. I breed fruit flies like crazy. I'm concerned that employees there are acting like they know when they don't and it'll hurt customers looking
