The Hamilton/Burlington SPCA should be saving far more felines from death at the hands of Animal Control!
Raise and/or use your funds for community awareness campaigns, improving your shelter capabilities, developing less expensive and community based adoption and micro chip programs, etc., or just walk through the door to the adjoining Animal Control Services and take the cats on death row into your care.
If you cannot handle an adoption program for these lost felines then convince and/or allow Animal Control to do it themselves. At least, spread the word of what happens when an animal falls into their hands. You can't really keep saying you have a no-kill policy when you just stand by and allow someone else to do it for you.
The Hamilton/Burlington SPCA's reputation (not to mention, donations) would get a much needed boost if the public thought that you were actually doing something to save these animals.
