I am strongly recommending the Pet Services and care I have received from Bonez & Katnip Pet…read moreServices and the Owner Lynn Cvitko; in which they provided overnight in-home Pet care to my 2 dogs during my week long vacation. I found out about Bonez and Katnip Pet Services, when I was desperately searching online ( last minute) for home care for my 2 dog rescues. This was for a scheduled vacation, during March Break 2018 in which my usual pet services fell through. I had already spoken to numerous Pet Services and Kennels before I reached out and was not satisfied with these services provided. When I first spoke to Lynn, I knew right away they were a cut above the rest... I told her about my dog's special needs; one being a very frightened, rescue from Thailand (Foxy) and the other 6 lb Yorkie (Max), who has separation issues with me and vacations. Right away, I felt that Lynn understood my concerns and was knowledgeable and experienced in the special care needed for them. When Lynn and Liliana (the dog sitter), came for the home visit to meet my fur boys for the 1st time, I knew that they were seasoned pet service providers and experienced in rescue behavioural issues. I also felt they were equipped with the patience and love that goes with rescues to earn their trust. I felt completely assured and saw that my fur boys were quickly warming up to them. 2 days before my scheduled vacation, my Thai rescue became very ill and had to be hospitalized for a day. I initially thought about cancelling my trip, that is, until I spoke to Lynn about it. She reassured me that they could handle the level of necessary care for my puppy well I was gone, even though he was still recovering and they had the experience to do this. During my vacation, Lilliana sent me nightly updates with how Fox was doing, funny, loving pictures with both of them and gave Fox his medication as needed. She also went above and beyond and helped wean him back to his regular diet. When I returned both dogs were calm, unstressed and when they saw Liliana again they were all over her and knew she was now part of their clan:). Well needless to say my boys have 2 new Aunties now and I am so excited to have the continued excellent Pet Services and care for my future vacations through Bonez & Katnip Pet Services!!!!

We just got home from a long weekend and Bonez & Katnip looked after our two boxers each night…read more Every day we got pictures of happy dogs and updates via text. We didn't really "guest proof" our house, and not a thing was out of place when we got home. The sitter even brought her own food. On top of it all, she cleaned up the poop in our back yard and washed her sheets. I would happily use Bonez & Katnip again and recommend them to my friends.

I would not recommend this kennel. My dog spent 3 days, 2 nights at Glen Saxon. I requested the…read more"ultimate" package, which included a bath and grooming on top of the regular stay. When we dropped my dog off, we could see a few visible outdoor runs to our right; one held a fairly agitated dog while the others were empty. To our left was a high, solid fence that didn't allow for visibility. Upon drop-off, there was a very strong odor that wasn't pleasant. Understanding that places that house animals will have a natural odor, this one was more offensive than usual. The woman at the front desk was nice. We dropped off food, a bed, some toys and treats for our dog and left. When we returned, the woman at the front desk (a different woman and, I believe to be the owner) brought my dog out, as well as his belongings. His bed was soaked about 4 inches from the bottom and she said that it was, "...from the AC drip, not urine." It and his toys were covered in dog hair but not all his own, making me wonder if their kennels are swept between use since it isn't a shared space. The odor was still powerful. She told me that my dog had howled the whole weekend. I have yet to hear my dog howl at home. It could have been distress, and we won't really know the cause, but it is uncharacteristic of him to howl. I asked how his bath went and she said that they didn't give him one. I told her that I was under the impression that I had signed up for the grooming package. She told me that, "It doesn't really make sense to book grooming for a short stay" and that it would have made more sense if he stayed for a week. Regardless, he didn't receive the options I thought I had reserved for him. They didn't charge me for the grooming. I also asked how he played with other dogs and she said that they don't believe in open play because of dogs' natural pack mentality. This, however, isn't mentioned on the website. She also said that they care for many aggressive dogs and that it wouldn't be safe for social dogs like mine. Dogs at this kennel spend their time in small outdoor runs with caged social interaction and no wide, open spaces to run and roam. When we came home we washed his wet bed cover twice and tried to air it out. The odor was still so strong that we have never brought it back inside. I have had to replace the bed. I emailed Glen Saxon to request a refund for the bed I had to replace, since it was a direct result from being wet from their AC drip. The response I received was very unprofessional and offensive, with the owner calling me ridiculous, saying that I was just out to get money back from her and that if I really cared about that bed, I should not have brought it at all. She also told me that I must have misheard the part about the AC drip because it wasn't possible. Based on the lack of transparency about what the dogs experience while at the kennel, the lack of commitment to hygiene and care, the lack of professionalism when communicating with clients, as well as and the overall conditions, I would not recommend this kennel for any dog.

Glen Saxon not only always answers my questions when ever I have them but has been a pleasure to work with. Not only am I ever so happy with the way my dogs look, and feels after placing them on raw dog food by Ricky's Raw (Glen Saxon Kennels) but I've boarded my dogs here when I go on vacation for years. They are always spoiled, clean and most importantly safe. I speak very highly of this business!
