The groomer didn't notice me enter because she was yelling at my puppy and grabbing her roughly. When I saw the groomer hit my dog with a brush, I stepped in and demanded that she give me my dog, immediately. The groomer then proceeded to berate me for not training my pup properly. My dog was completely traumatized by the experience. Now, with the TLC of a different groomer, my pup is doing much better... Over a year later. Please do not work with animals if you don't have the patience to do so. It is not the fault of the animal nor the owner if you are aggressive with the animal.

They`re the only animal hospital in the city that allows payment plans if you`re low on funds. This `Alex H` person who left a bad review isnt even a client at the clinic they live 7 hours away and have never taken a pet to Nelson Animal Hospital. . I know this person. They`re voicing a personal vendetta against Dr. Quinn for calling them out on their abusive nature. I don`t care how embarrassed or angry someone is, trying to negatively affect someones business by posting bad and obviously fake reviews is just plain dastardly. The doctors at this clinic treat each animal as if they were their own. Dr. Quinn is one of the most compassionate and empathetic Doctors out there. FIVE STARS!!!!

I'm unfortunate in the sense my dachshund has had some health problems, but extremely fortunate that it's Nelson Animal Hospital I get to take her to. Each and every single time I've walked in the door, the service is absolutely unlike any other. The staff are so patient and professional with us worried owners and make you feel as everything will be handled to the best of their abilities, which seem endless. Each and every staff member are so knowledgeable and have a calm and cool attitude. With myself being a crazy and over protective dog owner, they make me feel so at ease. They do not push you in anyway to spend money on unnecessary tests or products. They speak from the heart as if they were talking to their own family member. I remember I told them once, I would like to do what I can for my baby, but I hate to say that I don't have all the money in the world. They completely agreed and didn't make me feel horrible as that's just the case for anyone! They gave me a few different options of what I could do, cost efficient and a more direct route and explained the pros and cons for each. I did not feel any pressure at all. Dr.Sharon Grant has got to be one of the loveliest ladies I have ever met in my life, and I mean that whole heartedly. PetPlanet is a pet store I stumbled upon with my dog named Dude and have been a regular of for the…read morelast year, the staff in PetPlanet are extremely friendly, love animals and are very knowledgeable about various pet products. There are 3 staff that work at the Brant Street location and all of them are terrific, if you haven't experienced this store before check it out on a Friday which is the day when you get free dog treats if you bring your dog into the location with NO PURCHASE necessary. Be warned the prices on much of the products in the store are rather expensive but that is because the quality of the product is above what you will find at most locations however there are several decent products to buy which are rather cheap such as their individual cookies, pig ears and raw or baked marrow bones which are three of my dogs favorite treats. They also price match, once confirmed they will match the price of a competitor for identical items. This location also offers a full self-washing facility complete with a locking door and locking gate for their tub which is large enough to accommodate several hundred pounds of dog (it makes me 102 pound lab look small). Do yourself a favor and experience what Mike and others have to offer at this location and I'm sure you'll keep coming back specifically to say hello to them and just be in a friendly environment.
