We took our time and really enjoyed the luxury to just be. We saw turtles sunbathing, birds, a bobcat, and had a picnic on the boat ;-) It was a lovely experience. Charles took us to the river and picked us up. He is great; super cool guy and I can tell he knows his stuff! That made me feel confortable with canoeing. Looking forward to our next outing!

We were a crew of 4 flight attendants on a long layover in search of a day adventure. The Trinity River did not disappoint. The water level was high and a little swift at times which we enjoyed. The water was just fine...we did not fear for our lives...the water was clean and what you would expect in a large city. Although you are in Dallas it seems more like a remote river out west at times. Please take heart in our review....we have traveled to every state in the country and tubed, whitewater rafted or gone canoeing in almost all of them if available. Trinity River Expeditions is a must do in Dallas...Thanks Charles!!

Wow! We had such a nice time at pirates cove and we didn't even do all the activities! We went…read morelater in the day to meet friends who were staying at Jellystone and we had to park near the jellystone entrance which was just a short walk. Once there we hung out on the smaller kid side and let me son have fun with the smaller slides. He really enjoyed the several options here, but the water pressure didn't always allow him to freely slide down the slides. He had to constantly push himself to keep going down. After a couple hours there we ventured to the bigger side where, to my surprise, my son was tall enough for just about everything! We hung out in the lazy river for awhile then enjoyed all the big slides as most of them had pretty short wait times. The attendants at the slides were all nice. It took awhile sometimes to wait for an inflatable or racing mat for two of the slides, but after you get one you go right away. I actually enjoyed all the stairs too - most of the slides on the big side share the same stairwell, which surprisingly didn't get too crowded, but I got over 15,000 steps for the day going up and down those stairs about 8 times so I appreciated that. It was a nice family place with options for entertainment! We saw that they also had an arcade that we didn't check out, but it seemed like a lot of people were having fun there too. I'd say people of all ages were having a nice time here, especially with the live DJ in the lazy river - so fun!!

Ahoy Mateys! A Tale of Two Adventures at Pirate Cove in North Texas…read more Arrrr, gather 'round and hear this pirate's tale of feasting and frolicking at Pirate Cove in North Texas! ‍The Grub: - **Crew Size: 4 hungry souls - **Ship: Air-conditioned, ample seating for all Rations Ordered: - Cheese pizza - Grilled cheese - Cheeseburger - Nachos Would I spend my treasure on the food here again? Nay! Here be the verdict: - The pizza had a soggy bottom that would make a ship sink. - The burger was chewier than a sea monster's tentacle. - The nachos were surprisingly good, but hey, even a pirate can't mess up gas station nachos! -There is an arcade inside next to the food that is tons of fun and in the air conditioned building! Sodas: $3 with free refills - definitely worth plundering! The best part is the indoor, air-conditioned hideout. Perfect for escaping the blazing sun and resting your sunburnt bodies. **The Water Park:** - Price: Great value for yer doubloons - Lifeguards: Plenty, and actually doing their job. Some liked to just yell at the adults for fun I think. - Slides: A barrel of fun! - Water: Clean as the seven seas - First Aid:Quick and helpful, even fixed a bloody nose from a flying basketball (Arrr, beware the airborne balls of doom!) **The Bummers:** - Ye have to pay for a float for the lazy river, unless ye be lucky enough to snag a stray one floating by. - They have lockers ye can rent, but bring yer own lock and use it for free, savvy? At least that's what this pirate did. So, if ye be heading to Pirate Cove, pack your own grub, enjoy the refreshing beverages, DONT forget the sunblock and have a swashbuckling good time at the water park. Just beware of soggy pizza and chewy burgers, me hearties! #PirateLife #WaterAdventures #SunburntButHappy

The entrance is located on the other side of their private parking lot adjacent to Front Street. Upon entering the facility, we were immediately welcomed by Josh, who helped us with filling out the safety disclosure stuff. We were put into our harnesses and whisked away to safety training. He scaffolded the instructions so well, a dummy could do it. Before he let us off on our own, he had to observe me and my friend get up the wall correctly climbing and belaying the correct way. Once we passed the test, we started choosing different walls to climb. Neither of us had ever climbed before, but we were fit enough to get to the top of a few rookie walls which boosted our egos to try the more challenging walls. Big mistake. Lol. Can't wait to go back!! Sn: This is a very kid friendly place. I'd say 5+ would be comfy here. Happy Climbing :)
