I highly recommend this place if you are looking for fresh meat and not packaged.

I don't eat pork or seafood so I usually avoid meat shops but this place had so many Kosher meat options that were hot, fresh, and made-to-order. I really enjoyed the deep fried chicken balls, chicken crackling, fried pickles, and beef boudin. The batter was well-seasoned but the meat itself was also super flavorful and crispy. My husband also loved his boudin balls and classic pork cracklin skins. It was our first time checking out this place even though we pass it everyday on our way to work but we definitely will be back for more tasty items. They specialize in biscuit sandwiches so that will be our next discovery!

OMG, they were so peppered no one could eat them!! I don't know if there is an incompetent or disgruntled employee in the meat market--either way, the hamburgers sucked. I called the store and spoke to someone in the meat market. They offered to replace them, but that would mean driving over there, picking them up, returning home, and cooking the next batch. They said it must have been a bad batch. I don't buy that. The meatloaf this past week was just as peppered. Management ought to be concerned if an employee is working to lose a lot of loyal customers if they don't get a quality control program in place. The parking lot is a little tight and the entrance is really elevated keeping it safe from any flooding being the river is very close - once inside we found it really interesting and filled with lots of local delicacies, we walked over to the meat case where we assumed the plate lunches would be served and was greeted by a friendly employee. Unfortunately we missed the bbq being it was late afternoon and they were doing their clean up and we were told there were a few plates boxed up in a warming case off to the side, they were clearly marked but taped closed and I really didn't want to open them or buying them without seeing what was inside since we had no experience with this local grocer. I noticed there were several small paper bags labeled cracklins some chicken and one marked "rich-man cracklins" so I grabbed one of those thinking it would be a good snack for the ride back. Unfortunately they were not something we were accustomed too, they were very meaty and chewing verses the fried pork fat with a crispy rind we were hoping for and now we know this was a different version so we dismissed them after both trying one each. Although this visit didn't work out like we had hoped the store is very nostalgic and has a cool factor about it and the staff was very friendly and so it was definitely an interesting stop and I'd return when in the area to explore a few more of their offerings...

Also, the lunch plates really aren't good at all. I've tried their pork chops with mashed potatoes and their fried seafood on Friday. Both the chop and seafood were so peppery we couldn't swallow it. Their hamburgers were 2nd to none in my opinion. The flavor of their burgers was unmistakable. Perfectly seasoned. My family & I loved their food & looked forward to it when one us would say "Duffy's tonight".... That's what I said today at work & now I've home for about 30 minutes & I can't believe my eyes or my taste buds. This burger is bland. Almost no flavor. DEFINITELY NOT a Duffy's burger. The platy is clearly, unmistakably a pre-made, likely fake hamburger patty. I absolutely can not believe this. I am beyond unsatisfied & I have NEVER had a complaint about Duffy's in the past. I also ordered seasoned cajun fries & these fries have no seasoning. Barely any salt. I honestly can't believe I wasted my money on Duffy's today. I would have NEVER ever imagined that I would be writing this kind of review about DUFFY'S. I don't believe that I will be ordering again. This is a sad thing to say after years upon years of throughly enjoying the food at Duffy's Diner. I guess all good things come to an end.
