This has become my go to grocery in Lafayette. I tried hating it but it's got all the good stuff. You need a watermelon to make watermelon water? Look no further. How about some cute cupcakes for your little one? They got that. Floral arrangements really can't be beat here as well, and the prices are way competitive. You are not going to find a better looking floral arrangement for under 20 bucks in this town. Their produce is always fresh and yummy and the meat department consistently puts out the best cuts. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars? I'm not a huge fan of the chicken salad here. But don't let that I'm a chicken salad snob deter you. You need groceries? Come here. read more

I have been a regular customer for years. Understaffed. Extremely poor service. Good people that work there but so understaffed that many of the employees seem to have become apathetic toward lines and service. I am taking my business to Rouses. Hopefully "poor service" in the industry has not become an epidemic like it has in the healthcare industry. read more

I am a regular customer and decided to purchase one of your ready to heat up soups (loaded baked potato soup) at the ready to eat area of the store and it was disappointing. Unfortunately, the potato was hard but it did have a good taste. I don't think I'd buy it again. read more

I am a regular at this Albertsons. They know my face when they see me. I've never had any issues with this store. I shop here multiple times a day due to me being an InstaCart shopper. Staff is always nice to me. Bakery is amazing especially the fresh tortillas. Prices are really not that bad. They have deals all the time. Food has always seemed fresh! This is where I buy most of my personal food and drinks. Keep up the great work! read more

I will never shop at this Albertsons due to their lack of empathy for anyone. I was walking up when I saw a mother with two of her children playing music to earn money to pay rent. She was not just asking for hand outs but trying to earn them. Her daughter was playing the Violin. They were on the side parking lot, more in front of the ups store. the Albertsons manager came out to tell them they cannot be there and even called the cops on them. when spoken to they immediately packed up and left but the manager was on the phone with the police following them to their car to ensure they left. During such a time as Covid and all the winter storms how sad to have no empathy for anyone. I will not be shopping here and I recommend you don't either. read more

I will completely STOP shopping at Albertson's. Here is why...Corporate came in and instructed staff to change 7 isles. Now the bread is near house cleaning supplies on the opposite end of the store. This does NOT serve the elderly population well or anyone for that matter. It reeks of total disregard for convenience to customers. Perhaps 'Corporate' should do their shopping there!! I was in Lafayette for a family gathering not long ago when I was sent on a quest for frozen spinach. Having already tried the Fresh Market, Albertson's was the next closest store. This store is set up exactly like my local store. Since I am not a huge fan of that design, I wasn't a huge fan of this one. It did have a large selection of grocery items, friendly employees and several open lines. It also had the frozen spinach that I needed, but the layout doesn't seem intuitive. While it isn't a bad store, it probably wouldn't be my first choice if I lived nearby. read more

The older, larger white woman who is a cashier here needs to read up on alcohol sales laws. She refused service after I placed a bottle of a Cabernet for myself with my obviously younger brother present. It's a judgement call on the clerk but she needs to have better judgement. Go to super one, more quality food. Better prices. People who have good attitudes and judgement. read more

Albertsons is a mid size chain that in my opinion, has much better meats, poultry, seafood and specialty items than typical big box grocery stores have. The wine and beer selections here are very nice and rival that of a dedicated liquor store. You will find hundreds of different beer and wine selections as well as hard liquor, both main stream and top shelf brands. My favorite area at Albertsons is the butcher and seafood selections. You will find fresh steaks and also seafood that is caught that day and they will even cut it to order. The best filet mignon I have found in the area is from Albertsons. The only downside here is that the pricing is slightly higher than the big box stores on common items. For me, if I want paper goods, cereal and some basic items I will dread the lines at "bla mart", but if you want a huge selection of spices, meats, breads and other specialty items then this is your store. We needed just a couple items at the grocery store while traveling onto Florida. We found the store clean and well stocked. The shoppers were friendly and willing to point us to the right aisle for an item. In fact they were so friendly we had a 5 minute conversation about roux. Also, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. If we lived in the area we'd shop there often. read more

Watch your sale prices. I purchased 6 items and 4 rang up at the regular not the sale price. Customer service was very accommodating but how many people miss this and overpay. These prices were published mid week so it's not like they have not had time to program them. read more

This is my favorite store in Lafayette! Most of the employees have been here for many years, and that tells me that the managers are great. I am in here almost daily, because cooking and baking are my passion, and cooking healthy is important. I can regularly find ingredients that are not available in other stores, and they have a wide selection of organic ingredients. The produce here is fresh and delicious. They sell a lot of local products as well. The staff is amazing, friendly, and super helpful! 5 stars all day!!! read more

Best pharmacy service I've ever had! The pharmacist, Fallon, really helped me out when I came in needing a medication at 7:45 (15 min before closing at 8 pm). I accidentally gave my doctor the wrong pharmacy address so it was sent to the other Albertsons. The pharmacist filled my script for me in 5 min. The most impressive part is that she did all of this for me in the last 15 min of her 12 hour shift. She even helped me save money on my script with a discount service! Thanks Fallon! read more

The meat is really good quality meats. I watch for the sales items weekly. It's somewhat pricey for me but I do purchase the sales items.
