We have been to other day cares in the Grapevine/Southlake area and Primrose is by far our favorite. The teachers and classrooms are very close knit. All the teachers are fantastic and very affectionate with my kids. My daughter's teachers know my son and vice versa. I like that the same teachers are with my kids for most of the day and that they are there when I pick my kids up. I can find out how my kids' days went directly from the source. Parents receive detailed progress reports about their child from the teachers several times a year. Each age group has their own fenced playground that is attached to their classroom. Teacher turnover is very low. We have only had one teacher leave and she was going back to college. The teachers and staff enjoy their job and it shows in everything they do. Every month, Primrose has a family appreciation day where they do something special for each family like send home fresh-baked cookies, homemade chilli and cornbread, etc. They also offer a Parent's Night Out once a month for a small charge. My son attends a computer class called Floppy's Mouse Club and exercise class called Stretch N Grow once a week for a small fee. They also offer a weekly gymnastics class. The office staff and day care director know every parent and child by name. We have had such a positive experience at Primrose Bedford and our only regret is not going there sooner!

Only 3 months into this daycare First class Academy Euless, TX I get a phone call on 1-25-16 I…read moredidn't answer the first one because i was at work and she left a voicemail asking if I could give them a call as soon as possible and that was it very calm nothing serious... They then called my mom her emergency contact she didn't answer and they left her a message saying that my daughter "Smashed" her hand and if she could get in contact with me and let me know. The co-director then called me again 3 mins later this time I answered while at work and she simply told me my daughter smashed her hand... In my mind I'm thinking she closed a door on her hand but nothing too bad. I told the co director ok let me see if I can leave work early and she said ok and we hung up. By then my mom heard her voicemail & called me and I told her they told me she smashed her hand they didn't give me any details as I didn't asked either because I'm at work & im still believing she just smashed her hand in the door. My mom called the daycare back & she asked what happened they explained to her that another child knocked over a wooden book shelf & it smashed My daughters hand. & my mom asked well is it bleeding how bad is it. They said yes it's bleeding my mom told them to call 911 or have her transported to an emergency facility the Director told her well her mom said she was on her way #1 I didn't say that I told her let me see if I can leave work early my mom told her NO her mom is still at work and she needs to be transported to an emergency facility but she basically denied that action stating that she didn't feel that 911 needed to be called & also stated her mom doesn't seem to think that it is an emergency since she is still at work! "First of all the co director didn't even tell me what exactly happened didn't explain to me that my daughter was bleeding or anything" secondly I had to take proper actions before I could just leave work! I'm trying rush out of work after I asked my manager if I could leave early because of the situation smashed hands may not be A lot but any little thing makes me nervous and anxiety starts to kick in so I was going to leave work anyways I DO NOT like to hear babies getting hurt in any type of way especially my own... I rushed out of work leaving my purse in my locked desk so I had NO INSURANCE CARD, NO DRIVERS LICENSE no nothing and didn't realize it until I got her to the E.R. So I did take it serious but still didn't know the severity of it......My mom is the next to call the shots if I wasn't available you should have called 911 but refused because you Didn't think she needed medical attention? You don't have a license to practice nursing or a medical degree to call that type of situation especially after you were asked to do so from someone who is able to make those decisions on her behalf. I get too the daycare & the director tells me your mom is really upset but I didn't think 911 needed to be called but I want you too know it is bad and she needs to go to the emergency room so I'm like what happened & she tells me that another child mind you my daughters age group is 18-24 months knocked over a wooden shelf onto her hand and I'm like how is that possible "it's no carpet it's just tile so the shelf was leveled not even a 2 year old could knock over this heavy shelf "the oldest age in her classroom" I just don't see it" so she gives me a copy of the incident report I sign it and I'm just trying to get to my daughter at this point I'm pissed my daughter is isolated in a room with a teacher who is holding her hand up wrapped in a hard paper towel no cloth or anything full of blood & she's just crying loudly you could hear the pain in her cry she cried out mommy as she reached for me with her other hand I rushed to her & I seen her hand & was furious at that point I rushed her out the door leaving her coat & shoes behind in which the teacher brung out to my car "the teacher just kept saying I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry" very apologetic unlike the directors. I had to rush my daughter to an emergency room in 4:00 pm traffic in Arlington tx by myself trying to pay attention to her and the road as she is bleeding badly. 45 minutes had already passed by the time I had to rush out of work and rush her to the emergency room when all the daycare had to do was transport her right? All that pain with no Pain medication or anything she had to suffer and then not to mention the short wait at the emergency room until they gave her some pain medicine. When the Doctor seen her he automatically knew she had broken fingers but the Director of the daycare didn't think it was serious enough to call 911 She had two crushed bones in her finger tips and she had to be sedated to get stitches in both of her fingers 6 in her pinky finger alone and lost her nail at the age of 1.... **Update she has to have surgery on Monday to fix the bones in her hand

He is nearly three years old and can sing the alphabet song, counts to 13 (attempts to go higher but gets stuck), sings the days of the week and knows his basic colors. The teachers and staff always seem to amaze me every day! As a parent we are constantly on the go. I had a scheduled appointment for my son today, that I totally forgot about, took him straight to daycare and I went on my merry way to work. Once I clocked in I realized I missed his appointment. I rescheduled immediately for the same day. I sent a message to the staff at the daycare using the Bright Wheel app (an awesome tool as means of communication and sneak peeks of what your child is doing during the day) and notified them that I would pick him up but would return him right after his appointment. As I rushed to get my son, the school director and staff were ready. The Director, Violet went beyond and was super to ask if I wanted food set aside for him so he can have something to eat when I brought him back. After a long two hours at his appointment, I brought him back to daycare with once more, a ready staff to receive him. Thank you Violet for running such an amazing place for my child to attend. We appreciate you and everyone at the CCY!! Blessings to you all.

I stopped by today to see the facility and was HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED…read more The woman that greeted us was very rude, unprofessional, and short with all conversation. I didn't even learn this woman's name. She did not let us past the entrance, and only let us into the infant room - where my child would have stayed if I would even consider Little Tyke anymore. When requesting to see the 3's area, her excuse was that they were napping. She did not even try to provide other options or talk about other ages. Could we have at least looked through the usual windows that are all over child care facilities? When providing pricing, she listed higher than I received just two days before via e-mail. What is she hiding?? Another area I found disturbing was when we spoke directly to the infant employees for a simple question, they looked away and the woman spoke FOR them and OVER them as if the employees had fear to speak for themselves. The only other interaction we had was with a kind woman eating her lunch at the front counter. I will be advising anyone I know about my experience with the staff and the smell that was obviously unsanitary. I hope this criticism helps Little Tyke Euless, TX to improve. Autumn

Both my daughters have been attending this school for over a year now. My youngest started at 6…read moreweeks old, my oldest right before turning 3. Shortly after starting they installed the cameras - which was a nice touch. I have loved the experience that my youngest has had - she is well loved in all the classrooms she's been to. The baby room teachers are amazing and really care for the children. I had a few teachers leave due to being given better opportunities elsewhere, which was sad, but I never saw a teacher leave on bad terms with the baby rooms (or at least not that I was made aware of). My oldest, well she's...been through a bit more. She's difficult, not even gonna lie about it. Her time there has had it's ups and downs. For awhile there it seemed like every day I went to pick her up there was an incident or behavior report. I was frustrated to the point of tears but the teachers and others assured me that she was a great kid, she just seemed to act out - they said I was not alone in my struggles and that it's just part of being in that age group. They would also talk to me about how smart she was, one teacher going so far as to say it's likely she was just bored. Well a couple weeks ago all kids transitioned up to the next classrooms. I was surprised to find that my oldest did not go to the classroom they had originally told me, but went to anther one. I'm not sure if they moved her there because of her size (she's a tall thing for 3) or her intelligence (there seemed to be older kids in there, but I could just be making stuff up) either way I AM THRILLED! I've had no issues since her moving to that class. She's been happy and excited to go to school each morning to her "big girl" class. I'm not sure if it's due to the curriculum, the older ages of the children, the new student/teacher ratio or what but I am pleased with where she is now. My one con I can say is that they don't seem to have a good teacher/kid ratio at times. I believe they have always been within the ratio in terms of state guidelines, but COME ON! I believe the state ratio is 1:12 children over 18 mo. (please feel free to enlighten me if this is wrong) but have you ever tried to watch 12 2-year-olds by yourself? Barf, no thanks. I will say I feel new management has done a little better about this, and I realize scheduling and call-ins can take an affect, but I've seen teachers at almost full capacity visibly struggle with the children. When you push a person to their limits no good can come out of it - set your teachers up for success, not failure. Beyond that I have nothing but good things to say: the rooms are tidy, the staff has been pleasant, the curriculum and extra activities they have is engaging and fun, and I have absolutely ADORED the teachers (they are quite possibly the reason I kept my sanity in terms of my oldest and feel no worries whatsoever with my youngest).

I wouldn't leave my cat in their care, let alone my children! The teacher turnover rate is insane!…read moreIn the last few months I dealt with them at least 8 people were let go! Sadly, each of the teachers I knew were outstanding! On many mornings at drop off there would be only 1 teacher with 20 plus kids ranging from approximately 2 years - 10 years old. The office staff was beyond unprofessional! They did nothing but sit and gossip about other staff members, parents and children. The assistant director, Hunter Perez, would get within inches of children's faces screaming at them for misbehaving. Children that she liked would unfairly get treats and return to class showing their classmates. Difficult children were labeled by office staff as "future psychopaths" and other terrible things. A parent of a difficult 3 year old was told by the assistant director, with a sneer and eye roll that their child was, "incapable of empathy". The assistant director was sexually involved with a few different fathers at different times. She was also on video being physically inappropriate with a male teacher in front of a 5 year old child. This so-called "professional" who talked down to staff members in front of children and parents and ridiculed the children she disliked is a pathological liar and bully! The owners and assistant director never accept responsibility for issues, but instead put the blame on teachers. Interesting enough, not long after "passing the buck", the teacher would be fired. Licensing was called multiple times due to the incapability of this center being run in accordance of child care standards. Many teachers had incomplete background checks, missing documentation of other requirements set forth by licensing including no CPR or 1st Aid Training and incomplete training of Lighthouse requirements. By far, the utmost horrifying incident was a developmently delayed, close to non-verbal, 4 year old being left on the playground, in the hottest part of the summer, while in the assistant director's care!!! It was well known amongst staff and ultimately word got to parents. Staff was specifically told the incident did not take place, when it 100% did and the owners expected teachers to cover for them by lying to licensing. These people have zero business having children left in their care! Another revolting behavior is parents being offered childcare discounts in return for posting good reviews! On a last note, the owners have an additional center in the area!!!

In the name of Montessori "culture" and private school "policies" they request you to bring your…read morechild for "assessment/ interview" before enrolling into the program. Like I did, you may think this is a good thing as your kid gets to see the school and the Teacher gets to know kid's strengths and weaknesses so that they can help kids in some areas and set them up for the success. If you think like I did, you are wrong, in the name of "assessment/Interview" they regulate admissions. They cherry pick kids & call it company policies. Kids at age 2 or 3 you are supposed to accept all comers just like authentic public schools but they are private franchises and won't thrive for diversity. This is a terrible thing to do and remember they will judge your kid and parenting the minute you walk in the door for the interview. They seek answers for all the questions from their questionnaire, and they judge you kid based on how they feed themselves, toilet practices, language skills etc. when they are just 2 years old; if your kid lacks in some areas (most toddlers do anyway) they just decline the enrollment and confirm you in writing that you toddler is NOT ready for "Toddler" community. Staff at Wonderland Montessori won't even be shy to tell you in writing that if toddler lacks in anyone of those basis tasks at age 2 it would be difficult for a child to catch up to skills, they need to acquire at a rapid pace in their classroom of 14 students. Rapid Pace, what, huh? I was shocked!! Asked them are we still talking about "Toddler Enrollment" in the day care or High school senior enrolling in college? Though I had a terrible experience and short-term agony but I'm happy that in the long-run I liberated my kid from toxic culture and policies. Just beware of this kind of "biased" selection process and remember you always have options for your loved ones.
