You can never go wrong with sushi and this place has been doing a great job creating delicious sushi. I'm never disappointed

Waitress was non existent she never asked for my order!!! Guess she is more interested in socializing than making money!

This is the coupon that is NOT HONORED

I looked at their website and they offered a 10% discount if you downloaded their site and used it for the first time. I did exactly that, then I realized you needed a promo code. Nothing is on the site about this. I called to find out what the code was and NO ONE knew what I was talking about. I got really frustrated with the whole thing and finally called in and put my order in. (I was coming in from out of town and wanted to surprise my parents with their favorite sushi). I go in to pick it up and had to wait a few minutes for it (no big deal). The sushi chef (skinny white guy) was talking to a waitress and every other word was the f bomb. Totally unprofessional. One of the rolls was a Kamikaze roll. Got it to my parents and it was a fried roll. This is NOT a fried roll. I usually don't do reviews but this was too many bad things not to share.

Chicken teriyaki - where's the chicken? Not worth $8 :-/

Judging the outside I started to turn around and leave. I wish I would have because I certainly would not have missed out on anything at all. I had visited the other location and was thinking that no matter how hideous this one is, the food should be as great as the other location. Yeah, the voices in my head were wrong this time. Service was super fast, but that's not necessarily a good thing. I ordered chicken teriyaki and there was very little chicken in it. $8 for a tiny bit of chicken and veggies. I didn't even get a damn side salad with it. The chicken and veggies was practically soup due to all the sauce it was swimming in. I won't even get started on the dining area. Smh. It's just plain ugly... However, staff was super nice so I guess a star for them. Otherwise, ugh! Next time I will just grab some frozen veggies and pre-made chicken and make my own dinner!

This is a very unique place to eat. We started with dinner, the egg rolls and sushi were killer! Service was a little slow and unorganized but they were very busy being a Friday night. Our waitress was very sweet and apologetic for having to wait for certain things. The manager came around and took photos. The atmosphere and vibe was great. We ended with the Mother Trucker band playing live on stage. Great food, great music, good fun.

The picture of the receipt with the drinks not removed as previously stated by the manager.

DO NOT, I REPEAT, ABSOLUTELY DO NOT COME HERE! SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE. WE WAITED ONE HOUR AND 15 MINUTES FOR OUR ORDER. Service can definitely make or break your experience and this was definitely a break for a lot of people. We were a larger party of 12 and knew they were closing at 9 asked the waiter to place our order as we came in. People that ordered Hibachi/ Teriyaki that placed their order first at 8:01 got their food at 9:15 and received it last. People at our table who ordered chicken wings at 8:30 something came in last and got their order first around 9:10. Some meals came with soup and salad and we received it after people were receiving their food (still haven't received the entree). PLUS, the food was cold! In addition there were two parties of 6 that came in after us ate, paid, and left before we received anything. I literally watched the waiter cater to every other table. Side note: we were the only people of color in the restaurant. I spoke with the manager about the issue in a calm and cool tone, no disrespect at all. He asked me what I wanted him to do and I said I was just letting you know. He said since everybody was separate he couldn't do a discount. But he stated he would remove the drinks from all of our tickets. I went back to the table and waited for the checks. I thought everything was cool, because that's the least he could have done. But I was satisfied. HOWEVER, WHEN THE WAITER BROUGHT THE TICKETS THE DRINKS WERE STILL ON THE TICKET. We asked why is the drinks still on the ticket. THE WAITER AGGRESSIVELY stated that she waited to put the order in at 8:40, instead of when we came in, so the manager is not going to take it off. But the food was cold, and then she stated "your food was under the lamp for only a couple minutes..... 1. The manager is a liar, and does not keep his word. 2. We directly stated that we don't want to wait to put the orders, so that's not our problem as to why she didn't put it in ... 3. Why didn't he communicate that to us directly, instead of her. In response, he said he didn't know the whole story and said "he couldn't remove the drinks from the ticket, since it has already been printed" WHICH IS A BOLD FACE LIE. I have worked in the food industry and we all knew he can void an item, HE LIED AND CHOSE NOT TO. One of the people at the table asked to go ahead and pay for their food before the issue was resolved and the waiter said " I don't want to run the card if he removes something" , which means he could have done it. HE JUST DIDN'T. Then he continues with excuses and in the midst of his excuses, we ask so why wasn't the message relayed directly to us if you are the manager, he states "well I knew I was going to eventually have to come over here.." LIKE WHAT?!?!?! and never even offered so much as an apology. It's truly sad. However, I will never order another item from Little Tokyo and I encourage you to join me and do the same. Change comes by action and this was in no way shape or form okay, if you know the owner please relay this message!

They have a really great $7.99 Monday through Friday lunch special that I will be using exclusively from now on as I don't believe their regular prices are worth what you get. I spent roughly 15$ today for a hibachi combo and the taste and quality doesn't match the price. I didn't find my chicken as dry and chewy as some of the other helpers, but I did find the steak to be dry, bland, and overcooked. They didn't ask me what temp I wanted it. The meat pieces are cut so small that it would be almost impossible not to over cook it. I really liked the way the zucchini and onions were cut and cooked but I wish there was more. I was also disappointed that it wasn't an authentic fried rice with veggies and egg but a tamer blander option that only has corn sparingly. This is typical of a lot of southern towns as the common people don't like to eat their peas. I was delighted to find that they had the option of ginger sauce (not to be confused with ginger dressing) but it was more on the sugary side and less on the gingery side. Overall it satisfied my craving for Japanese food but again I wouldn't want to pay their regular menu pricing for it. It is definitely worth the $8 lunch special price.

Quality has mostly stayed the same for the last 10 years and while the prices have gone up its still a good deal. Many hibachi places fail to do the bare minimum Sapporos has been doing for years. Arrive on the 23rd my husband told them we had a reservation and they stated they don't take reservations I must have called the wrong location. I whipped out my call history. December 3rd 11 minutes. Oh yeah we had a new girl that day, wtf? One hour twenty minutes for my birthday dinner. They sat a party of EIGHT with us leaving us with 15 chairs. One person ate in their lap. Nobody seemed to give a crap. So I did not go for a few months. But Sunday May 3rd took the 13 year old for a family birthday dinner. Party of six we were sat with a party of three. We made friends quick because service was horrible minimum of three but usually 5 repeats by each of us for every part of our order. She got my sushi order wrong after 5 repeats of what I wanted until finally the sous chef brought what I ordered. I asked for spicy mayo for my sushi. I believe it was four times while the waitress informed me that there was no such thing but they had spicy mustard. I said can you just let the dude know that I want spicy mayo that's making the sushi with her attitude she walked off. I ordered unsweetened tea and Splenda then had to ask for Splenda all the way till my actual main course My daughter had to repeat her salad order so many times she simply got annoyed. After my daughter ordered, I looked at the waitress, and I said will you be asking us what kind of dressing we wanted on our salads as no one at the table had given their dressing type? She said oh yeah, I guess not even sure what that means. So I'm done gratuity added because we were 6 people. I'm a great tipper so I'm sure she did not get what I would've left, but I'm positive she got more than she deserved

Say no more. Hibachi pit is the perfect lunch spot for when you want to grab a quick bite with huge portions. You can customize your meal making it as healthy or unhealthy as you want it to be. I ordered the rice bowl with crispy chicken and the sweet and spicy sauce. The sauces all come on the side in a small cup, but you can ask for more. There was so much chicken in my bowl, and plenty of rice and veggies to go along with it. The chicken was on par with most fast casual places. I did need to use lots of sauce though to get more flavor out of the bowl. It's nothing that will blow your mind, but it's a good staple to have in your lunch rotation! The price is really fair too, you get what you pay for.

We were crowded around the entrance for a while without much direction until I checked in; they have a policy of not seating until the entire party arrives (6 of us were there, awaiting 2). Once the full group was present, though, we were seated promptly. Our server was excellent--very polite and on top of things. Even when two of our orders came out wrong, the server corrected the mistakes so quickly it didn't disrupt the meal at all. The food quality is definitely where this place shines: * Portion Sizes: Massive. As you can see from the photos, the trays are packed to the edges with rice, noodles, and protein. * Quality: The steak was tender and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. You can tell they care about the quality of their meat. * Affiliation: Knowing they are connected to The Smoke Pit gave us high expectations for the proteins, and they lived up to the name. While it might not be the absolute best hibachi I've ever had, the combination of great service, huge portions, and solid food quality makes it an easy recommendation. It's a great spot for a group--just make sure your whole party arrives at the same time!
