Where do I even start?! I started using Shanna 7 years ago. Since then I have moved 6 times personally and once for our office. Shanna has been a complete lifesaver during every move. I basically don't have to worry about a thing. She is hyper organized, efficient with her time (your money), pays attention to detail and has great organizational idea to eliminate clutter in your life and all with a touch of design! And she tries as hard as she can to get information up front so that she doesn't have to bother you with anything during the move. This last move (hopefully my LAST move) was just exceptional. I was leaving on a two week trip to Europe and entrusted not only the entire move to Shanna but also entrusted her with the supervision of the installation of new carpets, painting of the entire condo, childproofing and purchase of any organizational furniture/tools and little inexpensive design elements we would need to make our new home comfortable, livable and looking good. I have two year old twins so she had a huge job in front of her! She had to make the place safe and fun for them but still adult like for me and my husband. I can't even tell you how wide my grin has been since we moved back in as I sit in my specially designed office nook she put together or as I look at my kids enjoying their new play area. Oh another thing.. seriously I can go on and on but I will stop after this...She is also super good of walking you through the "tossing" process. I save everything and now with twins I realize I need to make room for them. She helps you rationalize giving things away and stop the hoarding! The most common reaction we receive from people who enter our vacation rental home for the first time is "WOW....!!!". It was certainly the way I felt the first time I walked in the door after Shanna finished furnishing and decorating it. I would do her injustice if I'd say that's all she did though. She essentially took an old dump and turned into a romantic rustic modern living space. Shanna took this project and brought her optimistic cheerful vibrant self to enlighten and inspire everyone involved. She replaced the awful cluttered floor plan and came up with a new open flow. She took the time to pick materials that would work well with the vibe we hoped to bring into the place. She worked with our electrician on finalizing the lighting plan for the recess lights. She suggested repainting the doors in a bold color that I would never pick myself but turned out amazing. She helped make a thousand good decision in a flick of a moment. She bought things to organize our drawers and our closets (the guests are raving about them!). She brought amazing art pieces, found high quality blinds, modern and sturdy furniture pieces - all at great cost or on sale (saved me hundreds if not thousands of dollars in the process). Bottom line, Shanna just took charge and went with it. She made everyone excited while going through this very tough project. I can tell you this though, she's definitely much much more than a home organizer or a home decorator. I can't wait to buy another rental vacation home and do this all over again with her. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Hiring Shanna was one of the best things we could've done for our move. She got us on track with our clutter. She came for a consultation on a Wednesday and started work on the following Tuesday. She completely unpacked and organized everything in such an efficient and clever way. My husband who was initially skeptical of hiring an organizer is now a believer. She worked her magic on his office and closets. He loves to brag about how neat his workspace is. I truly believe that Shanna has improved my quality of life with her organizing skills! I didn't start out as a hoarder. We moved to Reno, we purged a ton of stuff - we were starting fresh and clutter free - except for the last few boxes that I would get to eventually. Mail came in and we grew a few piles here and there that I would sort through later. Kids grew up and out of clothes that I would sort through and donate later. Man, I can't find a pen, I guess I'll buy a few packs next time I'm at the store. Where are those batteries? I'll pick some of those up, too... I knew I had these items somewhere, but I just couldn't seem to find them. Before I knew it I was overwhelmed by the chaos that was my house! I needed professional help. In came Shanna. I have gone back/forth on whether to write a review as I always leave glowing reviews. In this case I feel that I need to share my experience. I contacted Shanna via her website with a few details on what I was looking for. She responded a week later and said she could do a phone consult 9 days later. I immediately emailed her back and told her I was available that entire week. With no contact from her, I emailed her late on the planned day for our consultation and kindly told her that I was not interested in using her services based on the lack of communication. Within NINE minutes she responded with the email below. I presume she is an independent business woman and am still flabbergasted in her response - at a minimum I expected an apology or acknowledgement that she failed to communicate. I recommend that if she does not connect with you immediately that she is not interested in working with you. Thank you for letting me know you're no longer interested in my services.
