The spritz drinks are delicious and perfect for summer. The star of the show which I tell everyone to order 2 desserts are the sticky toffee cake and affogato. It'll make your night!! The Minneapolis location is nicer and bigger than Saint Paul but are great. The only app I don't recommend are the wings, they just aren't high quality chicken it seems and soggy sadly! I can't wait to go back and try their "girl dinner"

I underestimated how busy Red Rabbit would be on a weeknight. Our party of 5 arrived without a…read morereservation and was able to be seated in 30 minutes - WHEW! It was everyone's first time dining here and the service we received was hands down 100% A+++. Our server was beyond patient with the group's questions and prolonged spacing between drinks, appetizers, main entree and dessert. Our multiple drink orders were replenished throughout the evening and we never felt rushed (although I did feel quite bad that we occupied a booth for that long). If I could give all the yelp stars in the world for the service we received, our server deserved it. My overall sentiment about Red Rabbit is while I enjoyed the ambiance, I found the food overall to be very salt forward - almost to the point of excessive saltiness. The burrata appetizer (a refreshing palate opener) fortunately balanced out the meatball appetizer (salt bomb). The vodka rigatoni is rich as a standalone entree - I added shrimp as a protein - it was cooked to perfection and was definitely needed to balance out the heaviness of the dish. The cavatelli was extremely salty and surprisingly packed a spicy kick. We enjoyed the spice, not the sodium. It was hard to eat more than 3 bites because it was so salty. The salmon piccata was the one entree that seemed to escape the salt shaker. Dessert was a bright spot when our server recommended the zeppole. It reminded me of beignets but better because there's a nice layer of lemon curd on the bottom. I didn't expect this pairing but it was delightful and a nice way to end a salt heavy meal with sweet and sour accents.

Gin and vodka martinis were spot on, escargot and bread was tasty as well as the French onion soup. We will be back to enjoy a full meal. And obviously that was our big mistake. We sat for a long time as people were brought bread and their appetizers and meals. After about 30 minutes, we finally got about four tiny slices of cold bread and some butter tossed on our table. I ran out of water. About 45 minutes into this I went looking for a manager. What we figured out is that the server forgot to put our order in. We waited another 45 minutes for food. I asked to have a substantial discount on the bill considering it took over 1.5 hours for us to get our food. And I had ordered a simple salad and nothing else. We noticed other waiters glancing at our table. I mean, you would think somebody would notice us sitting there in the main traffic area. Just never being served until I asked what was going on. In the end, we got a 50% discount. But it was such a disheartening experience and felt so unwelcoming that I don't think we'll be back.

Great little local spot in Saint Paul…read more There's a lot to like about Estelle so I'll try to keep it to what stands out: 1. The menu is wonderful, and the food comforting. The peri peri chicken was surprisingly spicy. I like spicy foods and it was teetering on a bit too hot for me, but I enjoyed the flavors and the dishes as a whole that we sampled. 2. The cocktails are divine. I had two old fashioneds and they were amongst some of the best I've had. 3. The service is impeccable. Friendly, well paced, and professional. 4. The ambiance is really comfortable. I liked that we weren't rushed, and had a really well paced meal in a nice environment. Overall I'd love to return someday. If you go be sure to make a reservation!

We were seated right away based on our reservation and our waitress was a gem for bearing the heat of the patio with us. I got the grilled asparagus, the piri piri chicken, and the ginger cake. Piri piri chicken has a bit of a kick to it but it pairs perfectly with the rice and I really enjoyed it. For me, the $55 three course meal was worth the value since I got a few of the pricier items, but for the other two members of my party, the prices were listed on the restaurant week menu and the items they chose when added up totaled as less than $55. They still were charged $55, which did feel a bit odd and we all agreed we would prefer just coming for a normal dinner instead of during restaurant week in the future. Better balance of food that way also. I didn't necessarily need all three full courses and would've been more content sharing apps and desserts. Regardless though-they never miss on the flavors at Estelle!

Our server was very nice to us and our kiddo, and gave good suggestions. We had the cold cuts app, kale salad, a pizza, tiramisu, and a few cocktails to share. All the food we had was great, well balanced flavors with interesting twists, like the fried chicken on pizza and the meaty kale salad. The limoncello spritz was so refreshing and good, but the espresso martini was just alright - I might pass on that next time. The tiramisu was to die for - my favorite in the cities so far! Will definitely be back for that, and to try some pastas, which looked and smelled amazing as they passed our table. The only thing that was a little weird was that we asked for whipped cream on the side for our kiddo, and they brought and charged us for "butter" which seemed to be some sort of mascarpone or heavy cream/ butter dish topped with salt and olive oil. It was good and the baby liked it, just wasn't what we expected - something to be aware of! The vibe was date-y and upscale, we felt alright having our baby with us, but definitely felt a bit out of place the few times she was loud. Perhaps on a weekday, it might be easier to bring kids, but even on a Saturday evening we still felt pretty welcome.

We called around 5:30 to see if they'd seat us at 7:15 and they were able to reserve a table for us. I got the daily special which was like a chicken Parmesan but with steak. It wasn't my favorite thing because I was not expecting the steak to be thinly cut and more on the dry side. That could be my bad - I heard steak and was imagining something totally different. But it wasn't still pretty good! The noodle texture was to die for. It was $30. Drinks were delicious too and ranged from $12-$15. The only thing that I didn't love, is that they charge for every little thing. we got the focaccia and asked for olive oil and balsamic. Why was that an extra $2... $1 for olive oil and $1 for balsamic. If we hadn't ordered it, it would have been an $8 large sized muffin of focaccia - which turned into $10. Definitely not worth it. I asked for some extra Parmesan and they charged $2 for pecorino... honestly it just threw off the experience a little. And it came in the tiniest little cup. I understand maybe 50 cents but $2? Especially when we're having five drinks and three entrees between three people, realizing we were paying extra for those items on the check just was not enjoyable. I'd recommend this place to others as a great place for pasta and drinks, but pasta and drinks only. Maybe avoid asking for any thing on the side and I'd skip apps.
