Be careful when buying fruit from this establishment. My wife and I have gone to this business many times over the years and haven't really had an issue until yesterday. My wife bought a Fruit called Durian, which in the U.S. is very expensive, she paid $55. This stuff is sold at this store for $12.99 a pound. When my wife asked about the fruit they immediately told her that you can't open it and if it's bad we do not give refunds and you can't bring it back. Basically they knew the fruit was probably bad and they do not guarantee the food they sell. When she was finally able to open the fruit after she bought it, she saw that the fruit was spoiled and could not be eaten, when she called to ask if she could replace it or get a refund they said NO, we do not guarantee the food they sell... they do not care if you complain and are running a shady business. BE AWARE OF BUYING FOOD AT THIS SUPER MARKET

Great market for Asian produce. But the only reason I come is for the fresh Tofu Pudding dessert and the Vietnamese Egg Rolls. My love of Tofu Pudding at 4/$5 and Vietnamese Egg Rolls at 2/$1 here leaves me so so happy.

Just visiting Denver, great selection! Nice employees, it's great supporting a local family!

There's not a ton of Asian markets in Denver so this one will have to take the cake for my go to Asian grocery needs. They sell che and prepared foods as well as meat and fruits like jackfruit, mango, rambutan, longan, and lychee. They sold a big bag of cherries for under $2 and 2 boxes of strawberries for $1.60. That's cheaper than in California even though the strawberries came directly from California. This market is multi leveled and is pretty small compared to the Asian markets that I am used to in San Jose. Despite this, they offer most of what I need. I saw a wide selection of frozen shrimp and colorful sticky rice that may at first appear to be tacos. Today was the first time I had ever seen neon pink sticky rice. I'm just happy to have found a Vietnamese market at all.

Absolutely the bestest Asian market ever! I find myself here every week. A "quick" trip to Little Saigon usually takes an hour or more. I can only really repeat what others have said - it's a little cramped, not terribly well-organized, not terribly clean, some of the staff are downright rude, but it has pretty much everything you could ever possibly want for Asian cooking, all under one roof. I'm no expert on stores like this, but what sets it apart from anything I've seen before is the fresh produce section - it is absolutely fantastic, carrying your everyday kitchen staples like carrots, cabbage, spuds etc to all kinds of exotic fruits and veggies, all at crazy low prices. The fresh meat and fish section is also amazing. I'm not even going to bother looking for someplace else to get my Asian market fix - this place has it all! PS I'm not sure it's entirely Wheelchair Accessible - the aisles are pretty narrow, and would be tricky to navigate when it's super busy.

My to-go for all my Vietnamese shopping needs. photo by Nancy

We came here for brunch on a Sunday morning, before heading to Coors Field to see an afternoon Rockies game. The market mainly consists of an indoor food court, with indoor and outdoor seating options. The crowd is mostly local. The vibe is casual. For our first visit, we were impressed with the food we got from Izzio Bakery, and the coffee we got from Crema Bodega. I have reviewed these separately.

It is easily one of the…read morebest spots in the city for friends and family, especially if no one can decide on what to eat. There are a bunch of different places to check out inside, so everyone can grab exactly what they want and still sit together. Today, I specifically visited Call Your Mother, a Jewish deli, and Izzio Bakery. Atmosphere: Since I went right around the time they opened, the atmosphere was exactly what I needed. It was super laid-back and chill, making it the perfect place to get out of the house for a calm morning. As it gets later into the day and through the weekends, I know it gets very busy, but there is plenty of random seating throughout the hall and even some outdoor spots if you prefer. Parking: Parking is going to be street parking. Make sure you read the signs, but it is usually free. Even when the market is busy, I usually don't have to walk more than a block to get inside. So it is a very convenient location for the RiNo area. Service: The customer service throughout the market is great. At Call Your Mother, the cashier was very sweet, and they even text you when your food is ready. Over at Izzio Bakery, everyone is super kind and helpful while you're looking at their amazing pastry display. Even with a line, you're usually only waiting about 10 to 12 minutes for your items. Food: The food variety here is incredible. I tried the Sun City breakfast bagel sandwich from Call Your Mother and the hot honey was the perfect balance of sweet and spice on a toasted bagel. For a sweet treat, I went to Izzio Bakery for the Dulce de Leche Queen. The pastry case there looks like something out of a movie. The pastry itself was perfectly crisp on the outside with a delicious yellow vanilla cream and cinnamon on the inside. Overall Experience: Overall, I really enjoy coming here and trying new places. It is a fantastic destination for groups or just a solo morning out. Whether you want a savory breakfast bagel sandwich or a beautiful pastry, The Denver Central Market always hits the spot. I'll definitely be back to explore more.

He stole them instead and marked the order as delivered. The groceries never arrived, and to make matters worse, customer service handled the situation with absolutely no care. When I reached out for help, I was met with dismissive responses and zero accountability. I was told I'd receive a refund and a confirmation email--neither ever came. At this point, it feels like they're hoping I'll give up and go away. I will instead go through my bank for a refund and file a police report. Groceries are already expensive, and customers deserve better than this kind of careless, inconsiderate treatment. Between the unreliable drivers and the useless customer support, this service has completely lost my trust. You can spend your money elsewhere unless you enjoy paying for items that never show up.

(One day I waited for over 40 minutes just to check out.) Admittedly, most of my friends already made it clear I was crazy for continuing to frequent this store, but I feel pretty damn strongly about supporting the only grocery store in this neighborhood, so I persisted. Nevertheless, it became clear that the Safeway corporation was not respecting these employees by appropriately staffing the store, and I decided I would stop going entirely. Fast forward a few months, and the Safeway employees went on strike. I was pretty encouraged, supported the effort, and hoped for the best. After things were resolved, I decided to give the store a shot again, and pretty quickly it became clear that staffing the registers was still not a priority. Admittedly, I really don't understand how Safeway thinks this is a profitable maneuver--in order to spend money, consumers need to be able to check out. And guess what, if you're buying more than a few items, a self-checkout is not workable. But apparently this is the corporate game. I do want to give a shoutout to the stalwart employees who have persisted despite these tribulations. I'm always happy when I see Terri at the register or Bryan at the meat counter. Employees like them make all the difference here. I just wish they had better support.
