Post-Christmas Day (Boxing Day) bowling with the family! It's a family tradition an we always have so much fun at Little River Lanes!!!! Mike is always a great host! We enjoy bowling, a pitcher of beer, wine, sodas and some fries, pretzels, onion rings, pizza, etc. We have been coming here after every holiday since before Elin beat up Tiger's Escalade (Thanksgiving 2009) with a golf club! Rude employees who get mad when you interrupt them when they're on their phones. It was probably a great place a few decades ago but there are too many other wonderful places nearby to bowl or play billiards. Don't waste your time here. read more

Looks rough on the outside. Good on the inside. Old school quality bowling. The place was full but there were lanes available for our family. Great staff. Kids enjoyed fried pickles, chili cheeseburger and fries. And our bowling scores were pretty good too. Made for a fun family outing. read more

Had a good evening here but they are clearly facing understaffing issues like many other businesses. Mike was working the bowling counter with a full house, Amber was in the Bar area also facing a busy night and a very pleasant young lady was working the food counter, apologies for not getting her name, but also very busy. The place was clean, offered a full bar and many food choices. With the understanding this is a bowling ally, not a 5-star restaurant all things were up to par. The arcade had a few games out of order but we still had fun and made some memories. read more

For a company driven by satisfaction me and my family were far from satisfied it was a hour wait for a lane we did not mind the wait so we took our business to the bar what a mistake, the bartender was so rude we didn't even want to bowl anymore really ruined our whole night, we were wondering why nobody was at the bar hopefully management will be notified of this very disappointed in who even hired her she don't want to do her job an tell her it's unsanitary to eat while working nor is it professional read more

We made a trip one afternoon while at North Myrtle beach.... We had read reviews and knew that the location looks less than operational from the outside, no neon, signage or indication that it was a small business...but are we glad we didn't let that deter us!...the inside was a nice family operated business...nice lanes, pro shop, snack counter with really good food!...my husband is a league bowler and was impressed with the shape and condition of the lanes!...its a gem in the rough! read more

Wife and I were on vacation for the week in N. Myrtle Beach and decided to go bowling here. Nice place to spend a few hours. Both of us had a good time. We bowled a couple of games and had a good time. It had been years since either of us had played but scores were ok. Not too expensive for a few hours fun. Recommend if you're in the area. read more

We are from out of town and decided to come do a little bowling for the afternoon with the grandparents and kiddos. We decided to come to this one because we thought it was the only one close to us that was open before 3 PM (we did find one open for its summer hours). When we originally drove up we thought about driving away because it looked closed and the alley looked a little sketchy. But we sent someone in to look it over. We eventually all went in and we are glad we did. The staff was really friendly and helpful and we had a great time. Don't let the outside scare you. I've been looking for a place for league bowling. I finally had my hips replaced and wanted to find a men's league near me. Long story short. The approaches were the worse I've ever bowled on and I've been a sanctioned bowler since I was 9 years old. I threw one ball and stuck at the line. Went to the counter to complain and the knowledge of the staff is not good. He tried to give me a BS reason. They have very few leagues and are all mixed. Just some of my stats. My last league average is 203. So you can see I'm a very serious bowler. read more

We went to this place because of good reviews, but as we pull up to the parking lot, we thought we were tricked into going to a *secret club*. As I walk in, I smell the most disturbing smell all day, words cannot describe. Then we put on shoes from the sixties that cost five dollars each to wear, even more than comparable Jordan's would cost. The machine used to organize the games looked and was ancient. We justifiably couldn't figure out how to use it and eventually the big guy at the register came to our lane and silently started the games, then walked away. We proceeded to play six games of bowling, three on each lane. Admittedly, it was fun. Then we got ready to go and returned our shoes. Fat guy at the register said we played 17 games then another large man came over and corrected him, we apparently played 18 games. He said we caused the mistake because we rolled the ball a few times before he came over to start the games, each roll was apparently a game and he couldn't fix the mistake. TLDR we were overcharged at a mid at best bowling alley. read more

Like most bowling alleys, this one is old and from the outside, it kind of looks like it's out of business. The inside has a traditional layout with plastic sets. There's also a long counter with hard/ uncomfortable bar stools that overlook the lanes. Some of the lanes are a little wavy, but aside from that, they are very well kept and look somewhat updated. The computers seem to be up to date as well. There is a restaurant/ bar with a decent menu and a ton of American beers to choose from. Aside from that, there's also a small pro shop and an arcade. I believe there's four flat screen tv's and possibly some more in the bar area. This place is definitely not fancy in any kind of way. But for anyone looking for a basic bowling alley to just go out and have a good time, this is a good family place and probably the best priced alley in the area. read more

If you're looking for a bowling alley that offers league quality lanes this is your place. They have a pro-shop with balls, shoes, bags and more. Before 6pm it's $2 for seniors (bowling only) and the lanes are oiled! That means a lot when you're practicing away from your home/league lanes. You can come if you're looking to just drink and play, but if you're looking to Bowl you can have do it here. Granted the outside (sign, pavement and facial features need work) but staff is friendly and the alley is taken care of very well. read more

Only gets 3 stars because the lady at the bar kept a smile on her face even though she was running the kitchen and bar all by herself. Otherwise zero stars...why? The owner sits on his but the whole time while his employee clearly is swamped and over worked. He's rude and all around unfriendly. The experience could have been better. Food quality was worse than bar food and bc the lady was running the kitchen alone the food orders for simple things like tator tots took half an hour. I'd find another place in my opinion. read more

Ownership has lost vision and direction in Little River Lanes. Driving onto the property customers are met with a run down disheveled building and lot. Trash and cigarette butts litter the doorways. Upon entering the establishment you're met with stained carpeting and broken ceramic tiles everywhere you look. Although the building is marked with signage not to bring outside food and drink, the employees are feeding on outside fast food behind the counter. Outdated music from the 40's and 50's blare's from loudspeakers. The stench of urine in the restrooms is overwhelming and wood rot is prevalent. Snack bar employees charge the wrong price from what is clearly marked. read more

We're out of town tourist looking for some fun activities to do. This bowling alley is legit ANCIENT. It's dingy and old, but we definitely made the best of it. The guy handing out shoes was so sweet and I could tell he was a little frustrated because they ran out of a lot of the sizes, which I understand. But for a tourist town they definitely need a lot of renovations and more shoes! read more

The absolute worst, from its run down appearance, to the very overpriced, plain food.the house balls are cast offs, lanes uneven , retrievers not working,shoes torn and worn out,flat beer,awful..go to 710 or planet fun..but avoid this dump at all costs read more

Tonight we went to Little River Lanes and we were denied service. The food service specialist was too engaged with her phone to serve concessions and alcoholic beverages. I was told my license was expired even though it wasn't so they would not serve alcohol to me. I've never been denied service since I turned 21. read more

I have lived in the area for 20 years and bowled here many times. I was on a league at these lanes for about 6 years. My kids have had birthday parties here. It was always a fun atmosphere and happy family music playing for everyone to enjoy. (unlike other local allies that were full of people drinking at 11 am and very smoky). Saturday was our final trip to these lanes. We went for the cosmic bowling..$15 a person unlimited bowling. there were 4 of us. From the time we arrived the music was terrible rap music with bad language. My youngest daughter complained that they said a bad word. I went to the "manager" Bobby and asked if he could please stop playing that music. He said "all the songs are censored." First of all, if you are in a public place, you shouldn't have to play "censored" songs. Secondly, they were NOT censored, as I heard a few words myself. He literally played a song called "I don't give a f***". Which was absolutely not censored. This so called "manager" Bobby, was outside smoking most of the time, or in the bar. People would be standing at the counter for up to 10 minutes waiting for someone to help them while he was no where in sight. We personally asked him several times if he could please change the music to something different. I asked the people bowling on either side of us if they enjoyed the music. They said they definitely did NOT. You could see that nobody was into it. Nobody dancing, singing or even looking like they were having a good time. When he finally did play a song or two with an upbeat happy feel, I noticed several people singing and dancing around. having fun. which is the whole point of going bowling. My husband went to the snack bar to get a soda. He waited 5 minutes with nobody coming. came back and bowled his turn and returned to wait some more. The employee was in the bar making drinks. But never paused to say "hey, I have people at the snack bar, I will be back." He had to go in there and ask her if she could come help him. The people in the bar were for some reason allowed to keep saying things into the microphone which went all over the speakers in the place. What they were saying was not appropriate for a public place with CHILDREN there. This "manager" Bobby was totally there for himself, not for the customers who had all paid a lot of money to bowl there and have a good time. He just kept playing the same long rap song that just continued into the next long rap song and not caring if anyone was enjoying it. Not that he would know, since he was never behind the counter to see how the crowd was enjoying it. This place used to be fun. They used to just play a variety of music, pop, rock, country etc so that everyone could hear something they enjoyed. But this guy is a joke. I can see why on a Saturday night, when most lanes are packed with people waiting, that this place was basically empty. Bad move to whoever let this guy think he is in charge. Hopefully someone with a lot of money, and a concern for the happiness of their customers will buy this place out and make it a great bowling alley once again. read more

Had a great time on Friday with the open bowling. It was a lot of fun, no pressure and even if you only bowled a 50 it didn't matter. Will go back again on the Friday Fun Day! read more
