BBQ was ok. Wife liked her brisket sandwich (even though she ordered a brisket plate and got a sandwich instead). My pulled pork sandwich was ok. Not very much smoke to it. I ordered with Cole slaw on top and it wasn't there. The Mac and cheese was probably the worst Mac n cheese I've ever had. It was terrible. The sauces were decent. Would not rate this as anywhere near one of the best BBQ joints I've eaten at but we were passing through and I guess it will work. Not a real good impression for South Carolina BBQ. Everything was great! I had low expectations since I never tried them before and have been in the Seneca area for years. I wasn't truly in the mood for BBQ but my husband was. I'm SO GLAD we did! Thank goodness for one star!!! We have eaten in this establishment many times and the food is good - not amazing, but good. Tonight, we ordered for pick up, had to wait 20 minutes past the time we were told only to get home and have NO SANDWICHES in our order. We order a SANDWICH PLATE, but did not get SANDWICHES - sides only. When we called to inform the restaurant, we were placed on hold THREE times and no one seemed to understand the incompetency. Came here because I wanted bbq and they were the only game in town (that was open). If you want a lot it's good because the buffet is a fair price and the bone in chicken in the buffet is super moist. But the bar is high for BBQ around here and I thought this was good but not amazing. read more

I had a puled pork plate. The BBQ was great, lean meat, nothing but meat... Good smoke not too heavy. Nice pink smoke ring around the dark bark. They served a quite large portion... no complaints here. I used their mustard based sauce which was exactly what you would expect of a South Carolina sauce. Their stew was great, very meaty. My wife said her lacked meat, so, maybe the luck of the draw here. Otherwise it was excellent. We had hushpuppies too. Nicely done. Just a bit sweet, with corn kernels visible in the mix... The place was clean. The tables were a bit small. They had a table near the counter with sauces. There were a lot of bottles, but not enough for every table to carry on back to use. It's a small thing, but I like to try different sauces, so I just dropped that idea and went with mustard based. read more

I don't know what these people do to the chicken tenders, but I LOVE them. I'm not a chicken tender person, as I feel if you've tasted one chicken tender, you've tasted them all. That is NOT the case at Little Pigs! Their chicken is tender, the breading is super flavorful, and they melt in your mouth every single time! The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the staff is very pleasant and accommodating. The BBQ is also delicious (of course) and they offer a wide selection of sauces. I believe there is a buffet inside, but there's also a drive thru for convenience. :) Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed! read more

The service was good and the place was very clean. It is also great for families. Living an hour north of Lexington, NC BBQ is a hot subject. Where I'm at is the cross roads of WNC sweet BBQ, Lexington style, eastern Carolina vinegar, and some Texas style making a stand. I say all this to say the bar is pretty high for BBQ. This place is good for the area, but not some of the best BBQ that I've had. I had the ribs and chopped pork. The chopped pork was pretty decent and the portion size was good. The ribs didn't spark any rave reviews. Maybe it was the 3pm time was the reason, but the ribs were so-so (a little over cooked). The meat slide off the bone with no resistance. Rib meat with a little texture when chewed and holds the bone ever so slightly when pulled rates as perfectly cooked for me. After the meal I felt it was just slightly over priced with what I got in quality. Maybe in terms of quantity it's a good price point. So nothing horrible to say, but nothing great either. 1st time here, read some of the reviews and tried a pork sandwich. Portions are good, pork was juicy, they offer several sauces. I followed the advice of one of the reviews and tried the chicken fingers. A good amount and cooked just right. Split some sides, stew is spot on, as well as the onion rings, beans and sweet potato crunch. Sweet tea was definitely sweet. Place was clean, well run, and food was great. Great place to eat BBQ. The portions are good sized and the service is nice. Order at the counter and was suprised at the large portions. The sauce selection is okay, served in squirt bottles at the condiment station, the flavors were good but wanted something a bit spicier but the mustard sauce was excellent. Solid local bbq place for young kids. We got pulled pork sammy and a cheesburger. The sides seemed from a can. Like van camp type beans and canned green beans. The pork was slightly smoked and a bit dry. But the sammys were packed with alot of meat. Good value overall for quantity. It is a an incredible local bbq joint with master level smoked quality, incredible bark, and juiciness? NO. But it is reasonable prices and eatable for young kids with out complaints? Yes. My kids will eat this beginner friendly bbq. Like mcdonalds. Not best burger but its formulated so that kids will luv it. Thats what this place is like. Not too fancy and complicated. Great BBQ! Tender pork with absolutely no fat served on a fresh, plain white bun which really showcased the meat which had a distinctive hickory smoked flavor. Great beans and sweet creamy slaw with a good selection of sauces. I tried three of them and all were good but the sweet Carolina sauce was my favorite. Moderately priced with generous portions. The menu is simple and folks behind the counter are friendly and offer good advice on what to order. The pork BBQ is dry Carolina style, yet the meat is moist and full of flavor. My only complaint is: the large "hush puppies" I ordered (whole bag) had corn in them. Hush puppies traditionally come with ONION in them, not corn. If I wanted "corn nuggets", which is what these tasted like, I would have ordered them. I had no idea the restaurant sold large corn nuggets as I was searching for large hush puppies. They used to give you a small bag packed full of huge completely round tasty hush puppies. That has changed now. On the other hand, the BBQ is lovely, dry-ish, but that's better than too spicey!
