Little Mexico is not closed. It is open for business and highly recommended. We stopped for dinner Memorial Day weekend 2022 and and are delighted with everything about this restaurant in Siren, Wisconsin. Really, everything about it was above average, so where to start? Best of all was the service. Skyler is a rock star. Because it was busy, we anticipated we might get slower service. Not at all. Skyler asked at least 5 times is we needed anything and got what we asked for immediately and with a super good attitude to boot. Next on the happy list was the view. Amazing lakeside waterfront dining. The sun was starting to go down and so the view was amazing. The dining room was clean as a whistle. We own a cabin so we know how hard it can be to clean up after the savages of winter. Last but not least is the food. We had the chips and guacamole appetizer, the Maria combo and a single beef taco. The guacamole was delicious, the salsa homemade and fresh and the chips were tasty and crunchy. The enchiladas were top notch and authentic and the sauces were perfectly seasoned; not too hot but also not too mild or bland. The taco was good. Nothing wrong with it, but could use a little more flavor. As the sun was was setting over the water, we enjoyed the fried ice cream. For $3.50, we managed our expectations on size and quality. Again, we were delighted by a very large serving of absolutely wonderful dessert, large enough for two or more. read more

AMAZING, MUST GO!!!! Delicious and amazingly authentic! 2 things struck me, first the delicate character of the corn tortilla enchiladas was fantastic! Often I will avoid corn tortillas because the corn flavor seems to overwhelm the other flavors, not so here...it was beautiful. 2nd, the hot sauce option. I always order mild with hot on the side, because I hate too hot, mouth burning sauce. Their hot sauce was inline any thing I've ever tasted....I immediately felt a slight sweat...but no burning taste! It had a great Smokey taste too!!! Our server 'Styler" was great too, attentive, friendly and quick! Check out the $4 Fried Ice Cream...4 scoops, serves 2+! So much to love, easiest decision to return! read more

Little Mexico - Fried ice cream...the best! - Mexican Near Me - Siren, Wisconsin

Service was friendly but the food was honestly the antithesis of Mexican fare. I purposely get chicken fajitas each time I try a New Mexican restaurant so I have a common dish to compare and I have a new low bar thanks to this restaurant. Zero fajita seasoning. $8 for what most restaurants offer free for chips/salsa beforehand (we did have quac so expected some cost). Disappointed. read more

if your idea of Mexican food is greasy ground beef in a flour tortilla, with little to no seasoning, well then this place is for you. If you actually like Mexican food with chilies, cumin, garlic, onions, lime, corn meal, fresh tomatoes, flavorful, sauces, salsa and guacamole then do not go to this place, you will not find anything palatable. It is not a Mexican restaurant, even if the decor sort of makes it look like it. It is a northern Wisconsin Bar with a Mexican theme, serving poor excuses for mixed drinks and cheap beer. Service was slow and did not come with a smile. read more

Just finishing dinner here and so glad we came after wondering about the lack of more favorable reviews. We live here full-time now after escaping big city life and Little Mexico does a fine job of providing all the usual fare you find in decent Mexican restaurants. The chips and cheese used REAL cheese and my husband's fajita was very good. Yes, it's not what you get in a Hispanic neighborhood but it's a real treat up north here where dining options are limited. We'll be back! read more

Little Mexico - Beef fajita, great! - Mexican Near Me - Siren, Wisconsin

Really should be classified as a bar since the only serve food on Friday, Saturday night and Breakfast on Sunday. Food has fallen down since I last visited but the atmosphere is great, It over looks Clear Lake and the sunsets can be terrific. Service is good and Friendly. read more

Great place for Mexican fare. Been going to this place for years. Nachos are a good start. The hot says on the meals is actually hot. The Mexican rice is wonderful. Best I've had anywhere. Enjoy. read more

This should not be classified as a Mexican restaurant. I doubt even the owners have even TRIED Mexican food outside of Siren, Wisc. The food is SO bland and tastes like Norwegians cooked it, which probably was the case. Service was OK but I just don't have anything that great to say about it because i can't get past the bad taste it left in my mouth. Plus it's a total dive inside. read more

Don't recommend it. Slowwwwww service. Pay for your chips and salsa. Bland food.

Maybe if they had free chips and salsa that would make everybody happy. I have had a great experience dining here 99% of the time. I can't say that for anywhere else.It says I am from San Francisco. I don't think that's accurate. But I could be gay. read more

Went here with my family. The only thing I enjoyed where the beers. The food had no taste. And my husbands was burnt. Food tasted like it was from a can and microwaved. I remember I lived it here a few years ago. read more

Too bad there is not a 1/2 star. I would not go to this place and wished I had read the reviews earlier! Not only was the food way below par, drinks not cold, service poor - BUT THEY DOUBLE CHARGED ME. Fraud! I tried calling from this site, but the phone number has been changed - wonder why? Now I have to go back there and try to talk with a manger to see if the double charging can be reversed. Check your billings if you go there! read more

Great atmosphere and great people. My favorite dish is the Chiquita with rice and beans with one of the best bloody mary's you'll ever have! This is a must stop if you're in the area! read more

Stopped in for lunch and was pleased with the food, service and hospitality. The tacos were fresh and well seasoned. We shared sides which were good. One person in our group ordered a burrito which they really enjoyed. It's a nice "Mom and Pop" restaurant, not fancy but good. read more

Worse Mexican restrauant ever. The margaritas tasted like sour and lime juice. The food was so bland and boring. Would have been better off going to Taco Bell. read more

Service was slow, in fact, our waitress disappeared and we had to hunt someone down to pay the bill. Food was not acceptable. Just plain not good enough to be served in a restaurant. Margarita was passable but not even served in the right glass (come on- it's supposed to be a Mexican restaurant- lets at least pretend to try). The food was about as bland as something my allergic to everything on the planet-celiac-Norweigan Aunt could eat. Don't get me wrong- I'm talking no salt, no flavor, no anything. I don't understand how they can make a Mexican meal and likely have no cumin in the kitchen. Don't waste your time. read more

If there is a no star place, this would be it. The "margarita" I had was completely clear-water has more flavor. The only thing that made it a margarita was the salt on the glass. We were also charged for the stale chips and canned salsa. The canned salsa had a really odd flavor, left a bitter taste in your mouth. The floors were grimy and the service was poor. We highly recommend that you drive by this awful place pretending to be a Mexican restaurant. read more

We stopped in one day on the way back through, and all I can say is keep driving. Food was terrible, place was filthy, and the cook was screaming in the kitchen because people were returning HER food. I'd hate to see what lurks back in the kitchen. I mentioned this to the pie eyed bartender sitting behind the bar half asleep, (guessing a rough night before), and you could tell he wasn't the least bit concerned. I think he was mostly concentrating on how to cure his hangover. Food was just herendously bad. I would rather have gotten the frozen crap from the grocery store. Keep on driving to something better!! read more
