I could not resist popping into this sweet little children's consignment store while passing by in La Jolla. They had a really great mix of higher-end children's clothing, brand name play clothes, and Montessori-style toys. I was running out of luggage space at this point of my trip but I just had to bring this beautiful Rachel Riley coat that made my daughter look like Little Red Riding home. The person at the front desk was really friendly and I commented when I saw she was reading a manga my husband reads. She said that she was actually pre-reading it for her grandson and that totally warmed my heart. I love a consignment store where they truly care about children. read more

This is such a gem! It is a baby/children clothing and toys consignment store. Most the clothes I was looking through looked in pretty good shape. The prices are also very affordable, most of the ones I was looking at in the newborn rack were under $10 and they had a 20% discount during Black Friday weekend. They also have several racks outside their door that were more discounted. Most of the clothes I picked happened to be brand names like Janie and Jack. The clothes are well curated and loved. It's on a pretty quiet street and I wouldn't have noticed it had I not saw the balloons and racks. The owners are super nice and helpful when I asked them for help looking through some clothes. They also mentioned this is their new location from their previous Torrey Pines road. I'll be back for more shopping! read more

I love kids consignment stores, and I wanted to love this one which I'd been following on Instagram for a long time. Let me start by saying the service here is amazing. The mom of the woman who owns the store is so sweet, kind, and attentive. My issue with this store is that it's really hard to find anything. Things are stuffed everywhere you have to really be in a digging mood and hinwdtly the prices aren't worth that amount of work. If they kept things seasonal, it would be so much better to search. You can't even move hangers on racks. The bins for shoes are super deep and hard to see anything. The pants and shorts are stuffed in drawers. It was super overwhelming. I do a lot of thrifting and consignment store shopping as I buy everything second hand, and this spot is the worst to navigate. On the plus side, they get amazing brands in the store, and some things are priced super fairly. read more

I came across Little Love on accident when browsing Instagram! I decided to check it out in person and so glad I did! I find it hard to find cute "quality" clothes at a good price especially considering that my little one seems to outgrow clothes so fast. When I first found the store, I was pregnant and they were about to move to their new location. I found cute maternity brand name jeans and I was so excited since I knew I wouldn't wear them for long but still wanted to look cute! My baby is now 8 months and I continue to come here because I know that I will always find something for my little one. When going to buy clothes for her I always have a hard time since I am so picky but not when I come to Little Love; I always find multiple cute things. I always get compliments on my babies outfits. They have the cutest brand name selections! I have been to many consignment stores and have left with nothing but not here. You can find brands like Rylee and Cru, Noralee, Jamie Kay, Mini Boden, Gap, Zara and even big name brands like Gucci and Burberry amongst others. I also love the concept of being able to recycle especially since a lot of baby clothes just gets worn a few times. Now as far as the store goes, it is sectioned off by sizes which makes it easier to find things. They also have bins with pajamas, pants, blankets, and shoes. I have also found quality toys and beautiful books. I like that you can find clothing for every season especially for travel reasons. They also have a small play area for the little ones that makes it convenient when shopping. Last, I want to talk about the service. Both the owner and her mother are very kind. They have always been very welcoming when I go. They always ask if there is anything in particular I am looking for and they have even called me when a particular item wasn't there at the moment but they later got it. I also love helping a hard, kind mom with her small business. It's inspiring what she has been able to do! I am confident that if you check the store out that you will not be disappointed! The first time I came I walked away with 48 adorable items for a bargain and I had to stop after looking through just a small part of the store or my baby's closet would have overflowed. The clothes I got here have been my favorite baby clothes by far. As a consigner this place is also awesome. She won't take everything as she knows what sells well at the store, but I found that she was incredibly respectful to deal with and she priced things incredibly fairly. She doesn't just buy the most recent trendy clothes but things that are cute and nice even if from previous years. As a buyer I also appreciate this as I found cute things that are timeless and not what every other baby is wearing. This is definitely the place I will come to consign in the future. I'll definitely be coming back to this store again and again. I would buy almost any item in the store, if I were in need of it -- whereas at other kids' resale stores, there is a lot of sifting to do. The shop is full of high quality brands that feel completely worth the prices. A lot of the clothing is made of natural fibers and has a nice hand to it, and you won't find sequins and cartoon characters plastered on every other dress and shirt. You'll find items from places like Gap for a few dollars, and then higher-end items for less than you'd spend on new, low-quality clothes -- seems like a great deal to me, considering everything at Little Love was in very good or like-new condition. There was an adorable double-breasted periwinkle coat, for example, that was 80% wool and made in Italy. The satin lining even had princess seams. It was only $10! The owner is so kind and helpful, and even gave us a bit of an extra discount when she heard we were shopping for our future foster kids.
