This business is a small and easy to miss building on mahoning. I am glad to have noticed it as the food is great!! Pricing is reasonable. I had a takeout order so no comment on service. read more

I have loved this place for over 20 years but new owners have been the demise. Warm beer. Wonton soup that isn't anything more than a bowl of soy sauce that was cold. 40 mins to get our meal with only two tables occupied. I ordered a glass of wine that was horrible only to find out from the server it was days old box wine!! Avoid, save yourself money and try the other places in the area. read more

You can sit inside now! I had Mongolian beef with noodles! It was gone in seconds. The egg drop soup was also really really good read more

Little Hunan - a plate of food on a table - Chinese Near Me - Youngstown, Ohio

Simply the best Chinese food around! Everyone is super friendly and the environment is very cozy!

The owners wife was my chinese teacher and middle school and always a delight to see her. Food quality is second to none. Sets the bar so high I can't order Chinese food from anywhere else in Mahoning county. So glad they offer Uber eats now! 5/5 read more

First off, the hostess was great! Besides her, it was a bad experience. The chicken was spicy as I asked for, but the fried rice tasted like microwaveable brown rice from the grocery store. It clumped like white rice only should. Finally, our fortune cookies were stale. It's a bar environment, so maybe their food is just a secondary priority. read more

I really wanted to love this place, but I didn't. The take-out service was great and the interior looked just perfect! However, the food, all of it, was awful. read more

It is not something very " Hunan", but it is excellent. Highly recommend! I am sure you will enjoy it!

Pre-made, reheated food that tastes as you would expect in that scenario. Pre-made rice that's hard and clumped together. Meat and veggies that have no flavor, that tastes like a thawed out frozen meal. The only good thing was the crab rangoon, though I'm sure that's a frozen item thrown into the deep fryer, so it's really not that impressive. read more

Not coming back here. Got the sesame beef and and fried rice. The rice tasted like it took a bath in soy sauce and some of it was hard. The sesame beef was ok i have better. Was told this place is good that was a lie. read more

"Best Chinese outside of China?" Seriously. Someone said that this place was the best outside of China? Who thought this? The owner? The cook? Whoever it was, I'd strongly advise that person to get out a little more often. This place is exactly what I would expect of a Y-Town Chinese eating experience. Do the Asian cooks in this town ever get out? I kind of doubt it. read more

Delicious is an understatement. One meal feeds two people which makes the prices incredibly reasonable!!

Best Chinese food outside of China! Love the Yo Shu Pork, brown sweet sauce with the freshest veggies and the most tender pork. Siao, the cook owner, will provide you the exact amount of heat you request. Tofu dishes are fantastic as well as any dish with a coating..ie fried fish, general Taos etc...crust is crispy and meat tender. Wait staff is attentive but not intrusive. Potstickers are the best..and as good as from the heart of Chinatown in any major city. The kitchen is exceptionally clean and held to highest standards. Feel free to ask for a tour. You can't find better food or a better value. read more

I grew up with this restaurant.... always was my favorite. Moved away , travel the world for my job and Little Hunan is still THEE BEST Chinese food !!!! Egg rolls are amazing !!!! And I love the beef pepper steak !!!!! Miss this place so much. It's an Austintown staple and must have !!!!!!!!!! 5 stars isn't enough .... read more

I ordered the sweet and sour chicken delivered by Uber Eats. No problem with the delivery as Uber Eats has always given me excellent service. The food, however, was quite a different story. A very sad story indeed! The chicken was rubbery, the sweet and sour sauce had absolutely no taste at all and was poorly packaged. The meal was totally inedible and went straight into my garbage can! I will never do business with this establishment in any way, shape or form and will warn everyone I know to choose another Chinese restaurant. It was the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my life!!! read more

This use to be my favorite place to get general tso chicken. The chicken was moist and crispy in small pieces and a huge portion. The sauce iis sweet and spicy. Egg rolls are good too. I haven't been back for awhile but I hope when I do it's just as good as I remember it. read more

Got the combo lo mein, disgusting! Meat was okay, but noodles tasted like flour and it came covered in water and grease like a soup. Worst crab rangoons I've had in my life. Cream cheese was starchy and GREY. Super greasy had a puddle of grease at the bottom of bag. None of my coworkers enjoyed their food either. read more

We were the only ones there at high noon... after our meal, I guess other people don't know it's there as it is very easy to overlook, but my meal was served hot and fresh, and it was delicious.... Kung Pao, Hot and sour souo, fried rice and a pork egg roll... all items were perfect in my opinion.... read more

I'm only giving two stars cuz at least the food was hot. The crab Rangoon was burnt, sweet and sour chicken was tough to chew and the fried rice was just steamed rice with soy sauce on it. read more

Terrible, even the rice. How can you not cook rice? Rangoons burnt and reek of worstershire sauce maybe? Meat was tiny scraps and vegetables were mostly onions and chopped up water chestnuts. First time we've ever thrown chinese away instead of keeping for leftovers. Go to toxic hell across the street for more palatable garbage. read more

the food use to be so good but after what we got yesterday will not be eating there again the rice was so hard and stuck together the general chicken was in small pieces mostly breading the breading on sweet n sour chicken was hard very disappointed read more

This place is very good. I've had most of the entires and was very pleased. However the general tso is a bit too sweet and resembles almost an orange chicken taste as well as general. Reasonably priced and past service :) read more

We went here for the first time tonight, wanting to see how it was. We were sadly disappointed. We ordered the sizzling rice soup...the waitress told us they were out of rice. Ok... we ordered a different soup. Then I ordered the Chicken with Snow Peas. The waitress came back and said they were out of snow peas. I asked if they could do a Chicken with mixed vegetables. This was not a problem. My husband ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken, and we both ordered fried rice. When the meals came out, they were ok.. not awful, but the fried rice was absolutely terrible. It was obviously left over from the day before, and was reheated in a wok or frying pan. It was tough and chewy, had large hard chunks of stuck together rice in it, and some of the chunks had burn marks on the bottom. There were no vegetables in the rice...it appeared to be nothing but rice with soy sauce. The waitress was polite and friendly and did a good job...but the food was definitely sub-par. I'm not sure how a Chinese restaurant runs out of rice and snowpeas, but even so, they are across the street from Marc's!!!! If you run out... go across the street and buy some!!! We will try another Chinese restaurant the next time we are in Austintown, but I highly doubt we will return to Little Hunan. read more

I used to love this place, but I will never eat there again, unless I have assurance that they are committed to higher standards. At the present, they have no standards. I give them "0" stars... Shame on them! http://wkbn.com/2014/08/27/truck-carrying-spoiled-asian-food-pulled-over/ read more

I'e been going here for years. Tasty Chinese Food that is reasonably priced. Much fresher tasting than some of the other Chinese restaurants with friendly staff and quick service. read more
