I love that crazy woman...) we had an amazing experience. The biggest reason we booked this venue is that the place is gorgeous. Amazing picture taking venue. You want water in the background? There's a pond out back. Trees? There's a little tree farm next door. Bushes/bench? Right there. Stairs for a group shot? Out front. A gorgeous house in the background? A staircase? Fireplace? All available for photos. The main room where we held the ceremony wasn't too big. It could probably hold in ~100 people comfortably (we only had ~15). However, it is laid out such that there is glass on three sides of the room, giving you great natural light and some beautiful background. They also have a full kitchen there for party purposes and a sound system you can plug into for music. Martha (who runs the place) was really accommodating helpful. She gave us the WiFi password so we could Skype in family for the wedding. She had no problem letting us have our dog as our ring bearer. And when we got there, the chairs were already set up. Perfect. And the best part? It was only $100/hour for us to reserve it. Well worth the cost and a great experience.

The drive wasn't bad and it was very easy to located. Parking was a breeze and there was overflow as well. We were greeted by a staff member upon entered the main building that houses ice cream, drinks, local artisan work for purchase, and hemp products. Everything was neatly labeled, the space was nicely arranged to allow for easy shopping, as well it was very clean and clutter free. We were informed that on Saturdays they had like an adult themed gathering with music, food (provided by a local food truck), and drinks. We decided to come back and check it out. So glad we did! We arrived that Saturday around 8pm. Parking again was easy. The event was put together very well - with the food truck located right beside the building. You were able to purchase your food, get something from the shop, and find a seat outside to enjoy the evening. The music was great. The people were awesome - good convo and they had UNO going for those that wanted to play. We got to meet the owner and his wife. That was a joy as we got to learn more about the farm and their vision. Overall, we are excited to adventure back for other events.

We loved it. I am so used to a "fancier" spot such as Kings at North Hills, but I would come back here over Kings now that I have been! Everyone that worked there was friendly. The space is huge, and they have many lanes. You don't feel like you are on top of each other, which is nice. I believe it was about $30 for all of us to play two games/get shoes, which is not bad at all! They have a huge arcade type space with plenty of games and even a small ride that mimics the Himalaya at the N.C. State Fair! You can play games, earn tickets, and they have a full force prize booth! It's pretty cool! There is an incredibly extensive food menu, and they have decent drink options as well; beer, wine, soda, juice, water, etc. The only food we got were the chicken tenders, and although frozen I actually asked the woman the brand. These were some of the best chicken tenders I have ever had and did not seem frozen at all. Eager to try some new foods next time! We are already planning our next trip back!

There's not really too much in the way of shopping -- a nursery, a cute two-story store with accessories, a cafe, a bookstore -- but the atmosphere is really inviting. Fearrington has several venues for events, including the main house, the Barn (which sometimes even partners up with McIntyre's for open-to-the-public author events), and smaller meeting rooms. So in addition to weddings, it's a good place for corporate functions. Lots of neighborhoods in Fearrington, too. The extra secret, private room is located upstairs in The Big Easy, down a back hallway through an ominous door labeled "staff only". This isn't a space that you can just walk into (now that you know where it's located), rather it's a private venue space, charging $300/6 hours on Fridays and Saturdays with a $500 minimum bar tab and $100/6 hours Sunday-Thursday with a $300 minimum bar tab. The small space includes a New Orleans voodoo theme complete with voodoo dolls and bare breasted fortune tellers (in photos). Your party is invited to enjoy the velvet couches and hairs artfully placed around the room and has access to a private bar (and bartender). I love the back wall, with photo windows viewing Salisbury Street and a huge wooden bench seat. Rebecca and her husband Steve, the owners of The Big Easy, created this space to throw a rocking New Years Eve party, and they're inviting locals to use it during the year. Rebecca hired a fortune teller for our VIP night, but options are practically unlimited for what you want to bring in (bachelorette party strippers?!) The room is pricy to rent, but the intention is to get in a "classier" group of people that will keep the space up (however, there's definitely room for a dance party in the room, think old Bee Hive tightness). The best part: that VIP feeling as you are personally led up to the room by a manager, it was VERY speakeasy and secretive!
