Little Free Library started in 2009 by Todd Bol from Hudson, Wisconsin. The idea is a simple free book exchange. If you see a book you like to read, take it. When you done, you can return it. You can donate books to support building community, improve literacy and inspire creativity. Now, there are over 100,000+ libraries over 100+ countries with millions of books exchanged annually. This Little Free Library is built by Girl Scout Troop 292 in Fort Myers from a newspaper box with a roof. It is artistically painted in blue with design. Since it is located inside the Children's Garden; I imagined its target audience is children or youngster or teenagers. We will donate a few children or teenage books on our next visit! It is a long and slow process but you can improve life one book at a time!

Awesome! This Little Free Library is located in Fort Myers Lakes Park and the park is huge. It is at the entrance to the Children's Garden, so when you enter the park, turn right. It's opposite the train museum. The brightly colored library is a repurposed newspaper vending machine, neatly repainted by the Girl Scouts. It is charter number 73590 and the online caption reads, "Girl Scout Troop #292 partnered with Fort Myers non-profit, And Literacy For All (ALFA), to repurpose and decorate this newspaper vending box. It is located at the Children's Garden in Lakes Regional Park. It is a source of Free Books for the children who visit the park and garden and helps fulfill the Girl Scouts' community service objective and ALFA's mission of "Building family and community literacy one book at a time." andliteracyforall.com" Stop by and add a book. Or if one here catches your fancy, take it with you. It's free! [Review 15797 overall - 1377 in Florida - 1301 of 2021.]
