It has a few tables on the outside patio and more seating inside. Inside, you'll first notice a brightly colored area displaying different candies. The ice cream counter is toward the rear of the store. They serve Cedar Crest ice cream. Not a large collection, but we found some of our favorites. Got a friendly greeting from the young woman behind the counter. We got a mix of different items. I got a double scoop in a sugar cone, and others got a hot fudge sundae and a Cream Soda Float (Sprecher brand). While with limited ice cream selection, it was a very good experience.

At one point I asked if they were still working on it (it had been so long that I thought they might have forgotten). They apologized again and explained that the griddle they were using (a panini press) just takes forever. We weren't in a hurry, but I noticed some other customers who were visibly upset. The Chai Latte was excellent, as was the Harvest Chai (an ice cream drink). The Chicken Salad Croissant was also very good -- fresh, with a good amount of chicken and not too much mayonnaise. Nice, crispy textures. The Grilled Cheese was good, but the bread wasn't very "grilled" (maybe a limitation of the panini press?). We didn't get dessert, but they offered a few small samples of the Chocolate Shoppe ice cream -- very tasty. Lots to like about this place, but the wait times were way too long. :(

I walked in on this particular Saturday night and were greeted by the friendly staff and a nice selection of hand made ice creams, both dairy and vegan flavors . This evening had me trying the s'mores, which was creamy and smooth and delivered all the classic flavors of s'mores. Pricing is comparable to both area custard stands and is a good value for the amount served. I'm a huge fan of supporting local businesses and will definitely be back to try the other flavors.

There's no indoor dining here, but you can take your order to-go and enjoy it at one of the tables overlooking Lake Fowler (though I do wonder what happens in winter or bad weather!). There were two of us, and we each ordered a special Hot Fudge Sundae -- one Swiss and the other Turtle. We were served by a friendly young woman who was helpful and efficient. Our sundaes arrived quickly and were just as delicious (maybe even more so) than what we remembered. The hot fudge was luxurious, the caramel rich, the pecans nicely roasted and salted, and the ice cream creamy and smooth -- just the perfect combination. To top it all off, there was whipped cream and a cherry. Can't beat that! So glad we stopped in -- it was a great reminder of how good a small, local ice cream shop can be.

This morning felt like a good opportunity to check it out. Apparently, it has been open for about a month. Food & Drink: We ordered a couple of hot beverages. My friend had a Chai Latte, and I ordered a London Fog Tea Latte. I would have preferred it in a mug, but they currently don't offer that option. They have a small bakery selection, all wrapped in plastic, including cookies, bagels, muffins, and frosted cinnamon rolls. I chose the cinnamon roll, which they warmed slightly. To be honest, I was disappointed with the London Fog. The temperature and flavor were fine, but it really wasn't much of a latte. There was a little foam on top and warmed milk underneath, but no real frothy texture. Since we were the only customers there, I had a friendly conversation with the barista. They explained that they use an automated machine that handles all the milk steaming and frothing. They're new to the role, and as far as they know, this is simply how the drink turns out. There isn't any way for them to adjust the milk texture or quality. Depending on your expectations, this may or may not be the coffee shop for you. We split the cinnamon roll, which was nicely warmed up for us. It had a good flavor,and generous icing. We both agreed that it was a bit too dry. Service: As soon as we entered, we were greeted very warmly by the barista. Since it was our first visit, they shared quite a bit of background about the space, the different offerings, and the fact that it also functions as a floral shop. When I mentioned my concerns about the London Fog, they offered to remake it, but were upfront that it would likely be the same due to the equipment and their limited ability to adjust the process. Given that they only became a barista about a month ago, there were few options to improve it. Atmosphere: This place has a lot going for it. There isn't a sign out front or on the building, but it does look like it could be a coffee shop and has a clearly visible "Open" sign. Inside, there are plenty of seasonal decorations and several small tables for seating. It's quiet, relaxed, and has a pleasant vibe. In addition to coffee, they sell candy, popcorn, ice cream, and other interesting merchandise that would make nice gifts. Overall, I like the place. It's cute and would be a nice spot to relax with a drink. That said, it's not somewhere I'd go if I were specifically looking for a well-crafted latte. That may be something they address over time. I would give it another try.
