Wow, we have lived here in Vancouver for 4 years and yesterday was our first visit to Little Conejo for dinner. When my husband says, let go have Tacos somewhere. I say, I'll make you tacos, easy. Lol. However, this little restaurant had such a nice ambiance. Their choice of Tacos and Tortas were plentiful to choose from. Sorry forgot to take pictures of everything. We sat outside, not a problem, no rain. Yay! Our order began to come to us within 5 to 10 minutes. We ordered Chips/Salsa and Guac. My husband had the Lengua Taco and I had the Chori....yeah lol hard to pronounce. Made with Chorizo,potato and cheese. Da Bomb! I took a bite of our daughters Tacodorito, wow, I will have to say that was my favorite. Everything was super delicious and we will definitely go back. This place is TASTY! Cute little restaurant in the middle of downtown Vancouver. When you arrive, you stand in line and order at the counter. Everything is made fresh/in house and once the food/drinks are ready a server brings it out to your table. Look, Little Conejo is phenomenal, I'm giving it a very legit 5 stars. Food, service, speed, pricing, everything ranges from good to great. But I'm going to talk very slight smack for saying your chips are made in-house while leaving your dozen bags of Juanita's out where we can see them. I get it, Juanita's are dope, but you gotta hide them better. When I order takeout and then tell my partner I cooked it for her, I get rid of the box first, you know? What a great little spot! Fabulous margaritas (super fresh and plenty of choices), great tacos and by golly the guacamole is delicious. The only reason for not giving 5 stars was for the extremely long wait to get our food. I will say we came in on a Saturday around lunch time and the place was packed so a lil grace there. We did get our chips and guac quickly so that helped suppress the hangry emotions. The lines to order get long pretty quick but you order, pay then sit down (which makes getting another drink a pain). I recommend getting an appetizer to hold you over on a busy day. Also recommend the margaritas! I got the tamarind- perfect blend of tart and a splash of sweet. My friend got the seasonal watermelon, which was raved about. My favorite of the 2 tacos was the pescado taco. Crispy white fish and the toppings complimented it perfectly. I also got carnitas, which were dry. I'd say it was good but not great. What a delightful lunch outside on a Saturday. We enjoyed carnitas and brisket tacos--both kinds were outstanding. The guacamole almost stole the show with its fresh, sweet, creamy flavor. The fresh tortilla chips were a rare treat. Next time, I'll skip the margarita--it was just okay, but there will definitely be a next time. I have to discover the sweet potato tacos. Truly, our lunch today in Vancouver took us back to our favorite street taco memories of La Paz. On a busy Saturday afternoon, the service was friendly, efficient and absolutely enjoyable. My husband liked it and I wish I could have. I told the person what I was allergic to and she swore that the food was safe. I would have ordered something else if I knew I would get sick. Don't know how authentic this place is, but it is delicious. The oyster mushrooms taco is amazing (would get this over a meat taco) and it can get pretty busy. Service is pretty quick, but it's more of a purchase food and put a number on the table you choose to get your food. read more

In contrast to the delicious tacos, I absolutely do not recommend the house margarita. Unfortunately, it was one of the worst margaritas I've ever had. This place was unique, friendly and fun. Great cocktails and tacos...wow! So much flavor and spice, but not too spicy for this Mexican gal. We enjoyed the chips, salsa and guacamole as our amuse bouche, I was quite pleasantly surprised with the green avocado mash. It was very tasty, did not have any vegetables that I'm used to, like cilantro, onions, or tomatoes, but the flavor was so good just a bunch of smashed avocados with spices; consistency was good, not too chunky and not a sauce. I tasted garlic, salt, pepper and perhaps a hint of cumin. Very different. Carnitas taco was tender and flavorful. The chicken was tender and had a spicy and flavorful bite. Very good. The use of micro greens is very trendy today and this restaurant has nailed it. Presentation was good. Cocktails were great, with the Pacific Northwest climate, growing fresh veggies and berries add to the food and beverage menus. The use of fresh grown food is clearly visible in this menu, oh and the prices!!! Seriously reasonable. A cute, local charming indoor/outdoor location. A must when you are in Vancouver. read more

When my friend told me there was a bomb Mexican restaurant in Vancouver, I gave them a bit of a glare but then immediately took them up on their offer to try it out (who am I to say no to Mexican food?). I took the short trip over from Portland on a Sunday and lucky for me, got there about an hour before it closed. There was still quite a line when I got there so I knew it would be good. My friend could not stop telling me about their tortas so I was prepared but alas, they have a brunch menu on Sundays and tortas were not present on said menu. I ended up ordering a carnitas taco and the suadero hash plato. Upon seating, chips and fresh salsa was served and our meal promptly followed. I was very impressed by the presentation and let me tell you, as soon as I took a bite, that glare I had originally given my friend turned into one of the biggest smiles I had my entire trip. This food is amazing and not only some of the best Mexican food I had ever had, it was probably one of the best meals I have had in a restaurant in years. The flavors popped, there were so many different textures and colors, and all of my senses were blown in unison. I wish I had this in my city. Happy to see that this restaurant offers outdoor seating! Ordered the Al Pastor, carnitas, and battered pescado taco! These three are a must order! The pescado was very battered and super fried (tasted kind of like a donut). The carnita meat was juicy, however some of the meat was over cooked (crispy ends) but still good! As for the Al Pator, the meat was soooo tender. Only thing is, I wish they'd cut the meat into smaller pieces. Don't forget to ask for their spicy hot sauce (not their house sauce) compliments well with the tacos. Ordering three was just enough for one person! Wow! I literally have no complaints. Unless, wanting them to make even MORE types of food, is a complaint? They could do SO MUCH MORE if they wanted to! They make Top 3 best meat tacos I've ever had. But vegan? Best ever. My Mom is vegetarian, and she was hesitant at first. She thought that basically JUST making tacos, was gonna mean she'd have no options. She was wrong. She said she thought they were shockingly flavorful, and the "meat" was mushrooms, which she loves. I have to talk about the chips and salsa...out of this WORLD! Maybe the best I've had? Such fresh chips, with extremely flavorful and REAL salsa. BUT! THE GUACAMOLE! IT IS THE BEST GUACAMOLE I'VE EVER EATEN! It's not too creamy, or chunky, got loads of flavor...and literally tastes like it was JUST made. Like, the SECOND they finished it. They ran out to bring it to our table. Here's a couple, maybe flaws. Meaning, you may think this effects your rating. Location: hard to access, but MOSTLY due to the busy area in general. Atmosphere/quality of building: not quite there. That's why we chose outdoor seating. Amount of toppings on the taco, without customizations: at least five, and they're piled on. But I didn't mind, I like all the ingredients, and their versions were high quality. This place deserves all the hype, in my opinion. High quality service, that was fast and efficient. Also kind. Plus, extremely fresh ingredients, that MORE than make up for the "limited offerings." (They just have so many types of tacos...BUT IT'S JUST TACOS!) I enjoyed the ambiance. Food was just average. It's hard to hate tacos. I had the fish taco & shredded beef tacos, along with a torta. I think it was all a little simple, without much flavor. The fish taco did have a bit of the "fishy" flavor unfortunately. The salsa that came with the chips & salsa has some kind of roasted or smoked chili pepper which isn't a flavor I enjoy. I was recommended this place. So I thought I would give it a try. Once I walked in we ordered our food which came out to $58. For 3 tacos, 1 Torta, horchata and chips. (Which is not the issue) Once we received our food I got 3 tacos with carnitas which were horribly put together with little to no taste. The Chips we paid $5-$8, I am pretty sure were Costco Tortilla chips and salsa. My horchata was $5 and was served in the smallest glass. The glass was the size of two tortilla chips. I will post images. But the Horchata was the only decent thing I had from them. I hate to leave low rating reviews. I am only posting my TRUE experiences at all restaurants I visit. Best choice making the drive here. Originally from California, was in Oregon for business. Decided to take the trip on Saturday for what Tiktok claimed to be the best tacos in Vancouver and boy I was NOT disappointed. So incredibly flavorful on top of wonderful service.
