We love the deep dish pizza and stuff crust pizza. The pizza is made quickly and the location is very clean.

Tried this place out, as I was intrigued while in Humboldt. As someone who has eaten way too much…read moreNY pizza when in the city, I wanted to give it a try. Got a slice, but it was expensive. Slice was alright. Wasn't anything crazy, for the all meat. We also ordered a pie to eat, choosing a classic pep so we could try compare it to a NY style one. I was pleasantly impressed. It had thin and supple dough, robust enough for folding slices in half. Crust was thin style and had the crisp. It was really greasy, and the flavor was reminiscent more of NY than I expected. Was it a perfect NY slice? No, but it brought me further east than California. Best to eat it warm and heat it up. The cold version of the slice wasnt reminiscent of cold NY pizza I've had in the city. When hot, an interesting effort at doing NY style. It was just lacking an extra oomph that would make it 5. For those with extra pizza, I'd strongly recommend heating it up rather than eating it cold. I say that, even though I'm a big supporter of cold pizza. This pie needs to be warm.

Look at the pic, there is no lying here. $$20+ for this, don't go here or order here, thieves and liars, rip off to the first degree. Ok, just called to complain and was told - calzone is just cheese and bread unless specified otherwise, yet the ad states "A baked calzone with a variety of meats, cheeses and vegetables, typically including ingredients like pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions and peppers". You pay extra for other ingredients despite what the add says. Typical of Humboldt economics.

September 11, 2025 - Fortuna, CA…read more Walking distance from our RV park, we decided to give this restaurant a try. We came in early on a Thursday and were greeted with attentive, cheerful service. Seated in a comfortable booth, we were quickly brought menus and warm garlic bread. The restaurant itself has a welcoming, relaxed vibe. The drink special was a blueberry martini, and it turned out to be both beautiful and delicious. For dinner, we decided to split the lasagna and added an extra dinner salad, along with a bottle of Robert Mondavi Cabernet to share. Both the salad and lasagna were enjoyable, and the wine paired nicely with the meal. By the time we were finishing up, the restaurant was starting to fill, so we were glad we opted for an early dinner.

Bella Italia, Fortuna, California - September 11, 2025…read more We came in on a Thursday evening right around 4:30 PM. They open at 4 PM and I think we might've been the first ones there. We were seated immediately by a very friendly server and given menus and some nice warm garlic bread. They had a blueberry martini special , which sounded pretty tasty, so my wife and I each got one. It's a very comfortable atmosphere with nice music playing in the background. They have a full bar as well as some limited bar seating. We decided to split the lasagna, which comes with a dinner salad. They have a five dollar split charge, which we are always happy to pay to have our meals come out on two separate plates. We also ordered a separate dinner salad. We also ordered a bottle of the Robert Mondavi black label Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon to go with the meal. Everything, including the martinis, dinner, salads, and lasagna we're very tasty. The Robert Mondavi wine was a good pairing for the lasagna.

The onion rings were absolutely brilliant, and the Organic IPA was also fantastic. What really stood out was how well Amy understood the drinks menu -- she listened to the kinds of flavors we were looking for, answered all of our questions, and recommended drinks that matched exactly what we wanted. She also had a great sense of humor that made us feel completely at home. On top of that, the atmosphere was incredible -- even the people around us were interactive and engaged in conversation despite us not knowing each other. The whole night was filled with great energy, shared laughs, and an overall memorable experience.

There was no Preacher or Jack, but our waiter was very friendly and made sure we got everything we asked for. He came from SoCal like us and moved to Fortuna to escape the crowd. I understand why and I would move too if I could. The food was great. I got the smoked wings and my wife got the tri tip dip. It was the first time we had smoked wings and they were great. Not only were they juicy, they were smoky, and tasted very healthy. Healthy and tasty don't usually go along. The tri tip was tender though my wife wanted a more crispy bun. The double IPA I got was good too. Bitter is how I like it. My wife got a cider and sweet is how she likes it. Overall 5/5 I'm not sure why people didn't like this spot, but our experience was great. The ambiance was cool, we got our small town vibe and felt the friendly atmosphere of Fortuna.
