I recently came into town on a work trip and was tasked with ordering dinner for our group. We…read moreordered two Super Supreme pizzas and some wings from Pizza Hut around 10 PM. Everyone had been traveling for a long time, and in this area most places are already closed around 8 or 9 PM, so Pizza Hut was essentially our last option for getting food that night. Unfortunately, when the pizzas arrived, they were essentially raw and completely inedible. We ended up throwing the pizzas away, and everyone went to bed hungry. I normally do not leave bad reviews or even bother calling a restaurant for a refund when something like this happens. Usually, we just chalk it up as a loss and move on. But when you are ordering dinner for a tired group late at night and the food arrives raw, it was especially disappointing. I called the next business day and spoke with Emily, the store manager. She was very nice, polite, and tried to issue a refund. I was told there was a security issue with my bank preventing the refund from going through. I contacted my bank and was told that was not actually the case. The charges were simply still pending, which apparently was preventing the refund from being processed at that time. I called the store again today, Tuesday, September 15, around 11:10 AM, after speaking with my bank. I was told Emily was not there and was on a break, but that she would be back sometime that day. I was simply trying to get some clarification about when Emily would be available so I could follow up with her regarding the refund. As I continued asking questions about when Emily would be back, the associate became increasingly frustrated with me. At that point, I asked the associate for her name, and she hung up in my face without providing it. I was not rude or confrontational. I was simply trying to resolve an issue that I should not have had to repeatedly follow up on in the first place. Unfortunately, because she hung up before giving me her name, I have no way of identifying her other than the date and approximate time of the call. I appreciate that Emily originally tried to help and was courteous, but the overall experience has been incredibly frustrating. The raw pizzas were disappointing enough, but having to chase down a refund and then being hung up on when trying to get information about resolving the issue made the situation even worse. I hope management takes a look at both the food quality and the customer service experience, because this could have been handled very differently.
