I adore this store! It is located one street over from Main, on busy North Ave, sandwiched between…read morethe Diner and a dance studio. It opened in the summer and has been quite a hit. A big, thoughtfully decorated window invites one in where you will find a divine collection of childrens' clothing, accessories, books, toys and other items bound to delight any youngster. The selection is good without being overwhelming and while more pricey than, say, Walmart or similar stores, I think you get excellent value for what you are getting. Some of the lines they carry come from England and are just adorable. And it isn't just for girls - I have got things for my now almost 2 year old nephew which were original and charming. In the back by the check out area, there is a display of some lovely jewelry, bags, and other pretty things for Mom or Grandma too. Or in my case, Auntie! I got two beautiful necklaces and some earrings on my first visit. The owner and her mother run it together and both are just delightful. I've had some excellent conversations there while checking out. Young mothers with babies are often to be found there and it is a warm and welcoming place. They often have sales and weather permitting a table of interesting items outside. Whether you are shopping for a new baby or a five year old, you will find something here that is unique, well made and just what you didn't know you were looking for. Check it out! You will be very glad you did.

Either way, they're there to walk you through the process, let you pick your colors and enjoy the ambiance. Hats might be a tiny bit on the pricier side but the service more than makes up for it. Would recommend for anyone who is stopping by with a little girl :)

Of course…read moreI know the deal, HAVE to book at least one thing to do while in town because if not you won't get to do things or wait a long time in line. The Good Witch jumped out as me because of the hands on potion making. He is 5 and this was a great little things to do. GW was easy to find. Tight space inside! As most parents do spending the day in Salem, you have a backpack. It was tough navigating around the store witht eh backpack becuase it's that tight with items on display and people moving around. The experience: Started on time. I can share that I do not think people are being trained right or the owner is more of a heavy lifter themselves. When we first sat down we were given a tray and utensils that were dirty. The owner walked up and removed them and started cleaning. I am thankful she did but made me think about how come the staff were not able to put this together? There were some inefficiencies here. Like why are kids waiting for the one thing one kid is using when there were plenty of things to be hands on with. Once again, better trainign adn this could have been a better expereince. Also, the employee didn't have a great vibe with kids. I mean she wasn't talking to them making them beleive it was magical. And it wouldnt be that hard to get them to beleive it. Missed opportunity. Other suggestion, be a little more heavy handed with the dye in the liquid as we paid $30 for the potion, ours was almost as light at the water color instead of the blue/purple! Another thing: I assume the owner made a decision to really gear this towards girls. 50% of the population is boys. Warlocks existed too, right? No warlock hats. Nothing boyish sold in the store. Missing out on a whole revenue stream here. Highly suggest if you only have a boy, if you do not sign up for potion making, skip this place. True score: 2.5

The girl working the shop was lovely. She showed so much interest and gave me lots of suggestions. She also told us about the town and where to walk to get down to the water. She was absolutely fantastic and talked up their other location in Boston. I ended up finding a beautiful dainty bangle bracelet to wear to a friend's rehearsal dinner that we were in the area to attend. Plus, everything in the shop was really reasonably priced! If you're in the area and looking to shop I highly recommend Bobbles & Lace! It is absolutely wonderful!

I got the most amazing things from two long dresses, pants, jeans, shirts and sexy tops! There items are so on trend and I love them! Don't be afraid of trying on things that perhaps you wouldn't normally try on, because they usually look better on than on the hanger. I live in a warm weather climate so a lot of the items just don't work for me! There wee some items I liked which they could have ordered for me, but I really hate to pay shipping fees. So I skipped those items. However, it really is so so fabulous all around! You can order online as well if you wish. They also offer rose, water etc if you wish. Since I've been here, they changed things around a little, their dressing rooms are in the front and in the back is more of a storage space (where the dressing room used to be).

As a buyer, 3 stars. As a consigner, two stars in pushing…read moreit. I've been to the sale as a shopper for several years, and there is usually great stuff to be found. The prices are, in most cases, fair...but I am willing to pay more for top brands. Downsides are the lines, which can be incredibly long and slow-moving, and the help, which is hit or miss. But as a consigner, I'm left with such a bad taste in my mouth that it is doubtful I will ever return. The process of preparing the items is so tedious. It took hours and hours and hours. Then I brought all my stuff there, and had it sifted through, and they gave me trouble about certain items (pajamas that didn't look 'new' or shorts that had minimal pilling). Fine. But while shopping, I saw so many items that were in terrible condition...stained, holes, worn beyond belief. I couldn't believe that some of that stuff was accepted, while they rejected some of mine. Meanwhile, they send emails saying no stuff from target, or walmart, or kohls, and what is all over the racks? Stuff from those places! When I'm shopping kids' consignment, I won't consider those brands, and after they specifically tell consigners they won't take that stuff, they do anyway. So then I have to sift through the overly crowded racks to try to find the treasures hidden among the crap. And as a consigner that is not what I want, since I know it's hard for people to even see my items when they're stuffed in there among all the other stuff. Picking up my unsold items was a nightmare. It's basically a free for all and you have to go and find all the stuff yourself, spread out all over the place, often not where it should be. There were nearly 30 items of mine that I couldn't even locate today, including some designer pieces that I really wanted back so I could give them to a friend. The space isn't big enough (and not just at Brookwood, but also at the topsfield fairgrounds and the other location they've used in Danvers), and that creates a lot of issues. The racks aren't big enough, and many are not stable, so if someone pushes into the rack to try to look at something, the entire length of the rack shakes. It's a stressful shopping environment to say the least. Things that would make this sale better for consigners: -Stick by that rule about the brands, and don't take low-end stuff -limit the number of consigners so there is not an overwhelming amount of stuff -take pajamas, and put them on a pajama rack. They claimed they don't sell well, but I consigned many pairs of pajamas and they all sold. I also bought many sets myself. -check bags of people leaving -have volunteers start grouping leftover items by consigner number towards the end of the event so as to make it easier for people picking up unsold items The other consignment sale I've worked with was so much more organized than this one, and they offer up to 75% of sales if you volunteer, as opposed to the standard 60% offered by CD&S. So I'll probably take my stuff there next time, just to avoid the headaches associated with this.

AWESOME PRODUCT, AWESOME SERVICE…read more I went in to the Golden Hanger looking for jewelry for my wife for Christmas. The owner Kim greeted me right away and after I explained what I was looking for immediately started helping me look over what she had. As if by fate, she showed me a pair of blue vintage cloisonné butterfly earrings that were perfect for my wife (her favorite color is blue and she has a butterfly tattoo on her back)... they looked very special. What a great find! Then she showed me a necklace that had a gorgeous pendant that I knew my wife would love, but I could tell the silver wire band wouldn't fit my wife's neck. So Kim pulled out a measuring tape and ribbon and started looking through her chains and measuring them to see if we could find one that would hold the pendant. When she couldn't find one, she got on the phone with a jewelry store down the street for me and determined that they could provide the missing piece. Amazing service! I love when a store helps you look outside to other places, just to make sure you get what you need. I left with the most wonderful haul of really beautiful, truly unique earrings and a necklace for my wife. She's going to LOVE it all!
