Oh my! Still proves to be my favorite go to store when I come to Marblehead It was so great that I ended up frequenting it twice while on my visit! I got the most amazing things from two long dresses, pants, jeans, shirts and sexy tops! There items are so on trend and I love them! Don't be afraid of trying on things that perhaps you wouldn't normally try on, because they usually look better on than on the hanger. I live in a warm weather climate so a lot of the items just don't work for me! There wee some items I liked which they could have ordered for me, but I really hate to pay shipping fees. So I skipped those items. However, it really is so so fabulous all around! You can order online as well if you wish. They also offer rose, water etc if you wish. Since I've been here, they changed things around a little, their dressing rooms are in the front and in the back is more of a storage space (where the dressing room used to be). read more

I'm a resident of MHD and someone who works in customer service. I have shopped here before and not felt particularly welcome by any staff members. Had a very horrible customer service experience due to the condescending/judgmental employee who "helped" me when I visited. She recommended the shop's shapewear to me when she saw me going to try a fancy long dress on "if I needed it..." I asked if she had said dress in a larger size and she flatly said "no..." and offered me a totally different sweater dress, probably because it looked large enough for me. Bobbles has *some* cute stuff but it's only sizes S,M,L and they all run pretty small. Simply put, all of their stuff you could find dupes of on shein or cider or the tiktok shop for much cheaper and with a far greater size variety. Not only that, you wouldn't have to deal with the horrific attitudes of the people that work there. Would not recommend if you're anything above a size small. If you're a size large like me, you're considered plus size to them. I was made to feel out of place and too big to shop at a place I've gone to for years. I've been here a bunch previously, like I said, but I will not be returning ever again. I suggest the Sistas consignment store because they're super nice and have a variety of sizes. WORST customer service I have ever experienced. I bought a shirt from the Marblehead location not even 24 hours ago and the front is all frayed only from my bag hanging over me. I showed up with my receipt asking to return, if a return wasn't possible I would gladly do store credit. The girl told me I was out of luck, they don't do returns and they will not give me store credit. I've never seen such TERRIBLE customer service in my LIFE and will never be shopping with them again, which is unfortunate seeing as how I been shopping there for a long time and have spent a lot of money there. ALSO going to tell everyone in Saratoga not to shop there when there new location is about to open so they don't have to deal with what I went through. read more

I loved Bobbles & Lace! While we were exploring the area I saw this shop and decided to stop in, because their window displays were cute and I wanted to see if I could find anything I'd like. The girl working the shop was lovely. She showed so much interest and gave me lots of suggestions. She also told us about the town and where to walk to get down to the water. She was absolutely fantastic and talked up their other location in Boston. I ended up finding a beautiful dainty bangle bracelet to wear to a friend's rehearsal dinner that we were in the area to attend. Plus, everything in the shop was really reasonably priced! If you're in the area and looking to shop I highly recommend Bobbles & Lace! It is absolutely wonderful! read more

I rarely am in Marblehead, but I was out there a few years ago for a tent sale for a another boutique out there (which is now closed). This store just opened up a few years ago by a mother/aunt(?)-daughter team. Anyways, this boutique is cute and has a lot of affordable items. I guess the daughter or niece is the buyer and gets most of her items out in California. She definitely cherry picks the unique and latest finds. I was not familiar with any of the brands, but I still liked the selection and the prices were right! There is a bit of jewelry and most of it was priced under $10 (?). It was a while back when I went here ... For some reason too, if I recall correctly, I think the employee had mentioned all items were under $100. Now, they have a website up and I guess you purchase from there, but it definitely does not have the large selection like the store. It's worth checking the store out as well as exploring the rest of the very cute and pretty Marblehead area. Oddly enough, the day I went, there were barely any people around ... I felt like the town evacuated, and it was just me and my friend and the store workers. ahhhh I will have to go check sometime soon again! read more

As I recently expressed to both my cousin and separately, on another occasion, to a close friend--I love Boston! However, what I also love about Boston is the fact that you can travel 30 minutes (depending on traffic of course!) outside of the city to find fabulous shops which are consequently gems in small, quaint New England towns. Bobbles & Lace is a terrific find in Marblehead, MA--and I don't think I'm the only one to say this, as there were a bunch of shoppers over Fourth of July weekend in the small boutique the day I went. The store is arranged elegantly by colors--which I found very convenient for a (sometimes) indecisive shopper like myself! Of course I try and shop through the purples and blues, but ultimately end up searching the chic, black selection of merchandise (I tried! haha, but black is just so workable and classic!). For ladies who are looking to accessorize, Bobbles and Lace had a huge selection of jewelry organized in such a way that you could very well outfit your cute outfit with jewelry ready to be matched. I didn't manage to look, but I was impressed with the selection I saw. Although, I only visited there once I could tell the ladies who own it do an excellent job to keep the place fabulous and I can surely see it pays off--I bought stuff! The only aspect I would suggest to Bobbles and Lace is to stock multiples of a particular size (they only get in one of each size for each piece, as I found out) in maybe just the more popular merchandise. It may be a clever business maneuver to not have more than one of each size in each garment, so customers are motivated to get the item when they see it in their size, but for people who don't frequent the shop--they are missing out on sales! Either way, the store is very cute, and brings a chic edge to the town of Marblehead, MA. I'll definitely come by next time I'm in MA. read more

I made two purchases at the Newburyport and Marblehead stores near summer this year. This week was the first time I have ever ordered anything online. It shipped just as quick as an Amazon Prime item, and also came with a personal note. I found that to be very classy and professional. Small touches like fast shipping and personalized notes go a long way! I loved the jumpsuit I ordered, and it fit just as described on their site. So happy to have taken the chance to order online! One of my co-workers heard that I was moving to Marblehead and little did I know that she grew up there! She told me, "Have you heard of Bobbles and Lace?" Me: "No, what it is it?" Her: "Best boutique, ever! Go there." I decided to go in there one afternoon and ended up purchasing four bracelets for my bridesmaids-to-be. The staff helped me by trying them up in these adorable satin bags tied with a gift tag and a beautiful little fabric rose. I can't wait to give them to my girls! Sweet spot. Been here more times than is appropriate for the short time I've lived in the area! Such a great selection of everything from rain boots to cage sandals to moto jackets to bralettes. Very reasonable cost and desirable shopping experience. Most times I have come, Emily is working, she is a gem. So upbeat and approachable, able to help with anything, very warm and not hovering. She has great suggestions too. You feel welcomed by a friend! I've been in the area for a few months only and have already brought two people to this location, and bought gifts as well as a few items for myself, too. I love it. Definitely going to become part of my regular route. Look out for the warehouse sale every winter! Definitely worth the chaos for the experience, not to mention, the cute steals and deals. This is my favorite boutique for a quick party outfit or really great birthday presents. The prices match the quality--you're not going to find Chanel here, but you're going to find an affordable Chanel knockoff! They just expanded the Marblehead store, so now they have more room to put all the great stuff. Obsessed with this store... Everyone who works there is always so friendly, and never pressures you into buying. (Pushy sales people are the worst.) They always have a great selection of boutique style clothes that are appropriate for work or a night out... The only down side I could comment on is that I have bought a few items that don't seem to last more than a season or two, but I really don't mind because I never spend a fortune! I been to the Marblehead store 3 time in the past week to pick out gifts for Christmas. On each occasion I had one of my two children with me (girls, aged 5 and 4) and I was horrified at the potential mayhem they could cause in the store. Thankfully, my kids decided to behave on each occasion. In fact, the sales people (and the owner, I believe) took a great interest and a significant amount of time in helping my 4 year old pick out gifts for my wife (her mother). Thank you. read more

It would be a lot easier to shop at B & L if there was half the merchandise. It's jam packed with, basically knock-offs; DVF, Chanel, Balenciaga, Van Cleef, Yurman etc. The stuff is fairly cheap and ok if you're looking to pull together an outfit w/ accessories quickly fBUT, the constant, insincere, barrage of comments by the 2 women who work there is insufferable. They are always stomping around the tightly packed store, moving armloads of stock, barely glance your way, but if you so much as look at an item they start shrieking "Ohmygod! I love that! I have 3 of those! I wear it every day!" If you try something on, they barge into the dressing area and, completely regardless to what the outfit actually looks like on you, start yelling again "Ohmygod! That looks amazing!" read more

Thanks for returning my shirt that was 3 days after the month policy. I really did appreciate that. I didnt however appreciate BOTH staff girls working on a busy Saturday to tell me over and over again how it is against their policy. I called earlier in week and you said it was fine. I am 30- stop repeating to me like im 5, esp in front of other customers. I was polite but I was disgusted at that behavior. You were also not helpful and told about 8 other girls how "awesome" they looked in clothes that didnt suit them. Doesnt take a "fashionista" to have good taste. It was around 5:45 and my sister and I walked in only to browse and maybe buy something if we liked it. So as we enter this crabby sales lady with dark brown hair yells from the back "hi ladies just so you know we're closing soon." My sister and I awkwardly just said ok knowing they closed at 6 and continued looking since it was only 5:45. Every item we touched and put down she was one step behind us to move it exactly in place. Trying to get rid of us basically. She was also on the phone talking extremely loud about what seemed to be other customers in a very rude way on other customers. I was already irritated by this girl so I just waited for my sister. My sister had a pair of shoes in her hand and was about to try on another when she rudely came up behind us and made a comment about how the store was clean. I then heard my sister say would you like us to leave and she said yes. It was 5:50. I'm pretty sure that's not what closing at 6 means. This lady belongs no where in the sales industry and should be fired. My sister and I were so offended and uncomfortable. I would think as an employee she'd want the business. I have visited this shop several times and am not impressed. Although clever & stylish merchandise, it is not high quality. You'll often find threads unfinished, or missing a bobble or bead. The staff is young and often unattentive as busy trying on outfits.Not over friendly environment. read more

Love, Love , Love this place! They always have a great selection of the latest fashions at affordable prices. It is my go to place when pulling together a last minute outfit for any night out. I find the staff incredibly helpful. I have even brought in my own outfits and said " I need accessories and shoes for this. Can you help me?' They've have pulled together some really fun ensembles for me. Obviously, the clothes are not designer duds, so if you are looking for the high end stuff, this isn't the place for you. However, if you are looking for reasonably priced fashionable outfits, this is a great place. We stumbled onto this store as we were discovering Marblehead and it has a fantastic selection of items for women. My girlfriend had fun trying on the different sexy items and she bought a few items including a very cute pair of white shorts and a necklace. The customer service was great and she very friendly. It was also nice to hear they have a location on Newbury st just down the street from where she works.
