I had a wonderful experience working with Cecelia (she was absolutely amazing -- kind, patient, and genuinely helpful), but unfortunately, everything else about this experience has been so disappointing. I was told my dress would arrive at my house within a week. I planned everything around that timeline -- fittings, alterations, you name it. A week passed, and I hadn't heard anything. When I reached out to check on it, I found out on my own that my dress was actually backordered indefinitely. No one from Anthropologie bothered to contact me or give me an update. For something as important and emotional as a wedding dress, this kind of lack of communication is just unacceptable. I trusted that I was in good hands, but it really feels like the company dropped the ball completely. The whole process left me feeling stressed, disappointed, and honestly heartbroken. Anthropologie needs to do so much better -- brides shouldn't have to chase down information about their own wedding dresses. I will not be recommending Anthropologie in the future.

She seemed to not understand me, asking me to repeat several times, and eventually responded with a blunt, "What's out is all we have," delivered with a tone that felt cold and dismissive. When I mentioned I was willing to wait for a fitting room, she seemed more eager to push me away than help, emphasizing repeatedly that no fitting rooms were available--despite others coming and going. After over 30 minutes of waiting patiently, I noticed a room open up and asked if it was my turn. Her response? A sharp, "It's not for you," with no explanation--while no one else seemed to be waiting. When I raised my concern with another associate, I was met not with understanding or apology, but with eye-rolling and the excuse: "We're just busy." Here's what I noticed: their tone and treatment toward other (white) customers were polite, helpful, even cheerful. What I experienced felt noticeably different. I've lived in Boston for 10 years and have never encountered such rudeness and thinly veiled hostility in any store. Whether this was a case of implicit bias, poor training, or outright discrimination--I'll let others decide. But this is not how loyal customers, or any human being, should be treated. When I first entered the store, I said hello to the first girl. No response. Not even a smile. My daughter showed the other girl a pic of a dress on her phone and asked if they had any in stock. Exact words, "if we do, it's on that wall." pointing toward the back. Next, when I found a similar dress, we needed help getting it because it was high on the wall. She immediately came over and demanded I not pull on the dress because I was going to tangle them. I am in my 50s and never been spoken to like this from a young girl. I was barely holding it out...just enough so she could see the size we wanted. I responded by saying Yes M'am! and proceeded to tell her she needed to work on her customer service skills. We left after that. Windsor, be careful who you hire. No one wants to deal with sourpuss attitudes.
