My daughter loves AE so of course, staying down the road gets us in shopping trouble. Located in an outdoor shopping plaza so parking is plentiful. The store was great. My friend and I had a great experience needing a pair of jeans before an upcoming trip. The workers were very friendly and kept the establishment pretty organized. We were able to purchase a couple of pairs each as well some cute tops. My friend really like a pair of jeans these didn't have in her size. Fortunately we were able to get them delivered directly to her home just in time for the trip. Overall, would come again! read more

The customer service here is definitely bad. I purchase some jeans from the website, but they didn't fit and decided to return them to the store. I've never been to this store before and it was definitely one I'll never go back to. First things first, they are violating basic covid protocols. Instead of going inside to return the items I was stuck in the entrance with 2 other employees - one 2 feet in front of me and the other about 3 feet behind me. During the 15 to 20 minutes I was stuck there, several customers came in and out of the store - none of whom could social distance in the tiny entrance. I'll definitely be making a call to the Lynnfield health department Monday morning. But the reason I was stuck in the entrance for so long making the return was that the employee insisted that I had to have a rewards account to return the items. That's a blatant lie. Under state law they had to have their return policy posted in the store and on the website and they have to abide by that policy. There is no mention of a requirement that you have to have a rewards account. There I am, stuck, having to give all my personally identifiable information, include birthdate, to make a return. I also had to give him my phone number several times. You'd think at some point it would dawn on him to just write it down instead of asking over and over and over and over.... or better yet. How about looking at the receipt with all that information (except my birthday) on it? Oh and hey by the way - the store policy does require a receipt for a return. But he never bothered with that. I absolutely love American Eagle! The staff is very nice and they always treat you with respect!

I was debating on if I should give them 2 or 3 stars. I like the clothes they sell but what takes me to their shop is the aerie section. They have some of the nicest bikinis around. Unfortunately, this particular American eagle had the most pitiful customer service of all time so I settled on 2 stars. Firstly, I found several bathing suit pieces I wanted to try and waited forever for somebody to let me into a fitting room. All of the doors were locked so I couldn't help myself. I had to wait for another customer to ring her doorbell to get one or the employees to show up. The wait was so long I almost crawled under a door to let myself in. Now here's what really made me annoyed. None of the items had tags on them so I got in line to ask for prices. There was one customer ahead of me in line and as she was paying she decided she wanted to go find another item. So the employee allowed her while I waited. A few minutes later she returned and the employee told her the jeans she's buying are buy 1 get 1 50 percent off. She asked the customer if she wanted to go get another pair. The customer said yes and off she went for at least 5 minutes looking for another pair all while I waited in line! She could've started my transaction or at least apologize for the hold up. The employee was useless and did not say one word to me. We finally decided to call her out and say she shouldn't make other customers wait in line while another is finishing shopping. The employee was a total airhead and did not even answer us! And she could hear us very well because we went over to the register. I was so irritated I left. Congratulations American eagle on hiring the stupidest employee I've ever dealt with in retail. Way to lose a customer. read more

I just left the store with my very picky 17 yr old. After working all day I did not really want to shop. However, Kyle was working and was extremely patient and helpful. I work in retail and know it is not always easy. He deserves some praise for a helpful hand, a kind smile, and extraordinary customer service. read more

Usually the employees at any American Eagle are pretty apathetic and useless, however here I was impressed. My friend and I were about to leave empty handed when this blonde employee convinced us to look around again and purchase things. Pretty sure she was a sorceress. Give that lady a raise read more
