Russ and Debbie, the owners, were so accommodating, enjoyable, helpful and easy going; people you could just spend all day talking to. There are some RV spaces to camp here so we stayed on site to make set up a little easier on the day of the memorial. We had family that rented a quaint one bedroom cabin on site as well. There is an outdoor covered kitchen area with a huge refrigerator, which allowed us to bring food in advance and prep the day before. It was all so convenient! They were in the path of the Dixie fire, so the drive out there is baron, but don't let that deter you. Once you arrive, you are surrounded by green trees and stunning scenery. It was a perfect hidden gem. We are so pleased with our entire experience at lassen meadows and would absolutely recommend it and use this venue again for other events.

For this particular wedding they opted to have a food truck which was outside and partially under a shaded area. I did not see if they would be able to have food catered. If so I'd go casual and BBQ route. The restrooms were very nice and super clean thank goodness. The property itself is extremely secluded and off the beaten path. If that's what you want then go for it. The staff of the property seemed very slim to none and they did not seem to offer the usual wedding type assistance that I'm familiar with. Why would she have everyone drive three hours for the wedding when no one lives near here ? Come to the property and discover her reasons. Truly in the countryside. Huge parking lot with attendants to guide you. Lots of mature trees. Ponds. Fabulous fountain. Spacious grassy areas. Nice restroom facilities with changing room upstairs. Large barn. Yard games. The fall pictures will be incredible. The green lawn with white chairs, and brick path leading to an outdoor raised alter as the breeze tosses leaves all around. The natural area here is just plain gorgeous. While pictures were taken before and after the ceremony, horseshoe pits, giant connect four, and frisbee games were available to the guests to play on the lawn. After the ceremony we go to the barn, where it is a perfect up. An area for buffet service, a small kitchen for the caterers to set up in complete with industrial refrigerator and sinks. A bar area. DJ or band stage. Large dance floor. Large seating area with tables and chairs. Rustic, but very clean. The chandeliers are an awesome touch. The entire venue seems so well organized from a guest's perspective. BTW - for those that want to enjoy an event here, Redding Lyft does deliver and pick you up.

The photos on VRBO are very misleading and do not accurately reflect the property. For example, the hot tub isn't even in that location right by the house. It's off on the other end of the yard. There is an extra room add on, I don't even know what to call it because it was giving summer camp vibes? The 3 rooms in this area did not lock. The inside of the house was spacious but out dated and dirty. I laid my arm over the back of one of the couches only to be met with tons of spider webs in the couch! The fireplace was broken, the pool table was broken and the bbq outside didn't work either. The dining room with all the drawings all over featured male genitals as well as nazi symbols. Overall, this could be a beautiful property but it unfortunately is not maintained.
