This hotel has potential but also needs to be renovated. The plumbing is terrible & everything is just old and dated. My favorite thing about this place was the Sunday brunch with the bottomless mimosas and the food selection was great and well prepared . They have an onsite cafe which is great for a quick bfast . I used their laundry service (bad idea) which was $15, my clothes came back wet & they smelled like nothing . I received a refund but it was very inconvenient. One of my friends had to move their room because of the MOLD & side effects they were getting from it . read more

This is a fun little place in America to visit. It's no Ritz Carlton but the property is nice and the rooms are clean and spacious. I've ate at the bar/restaurant and really enjoyed it. There was a group of us that huddled in the corner and the bartender did a great job in taking care of us. Drinks/Food/Conversation and all. My mom enjoyed the dollar ice cream. You buy the cone inside of the gift shop, walk across the hallway, and serve yourself at the ice cream machine. The gift store is cute and has a good selection of gift items and postcards which you can ask to have sent out from the front desk. The employees are friendly and helpful. I haven't stayed overnight yet but would love to during the next cross country trip because the inside is beautiful and the furnishings are comfortable. Wow! I wasn't expecting the room to be so big. There's a table and 2 chairs, vanity area with a desk & mirror, and a sink inside the room outside the bathroom, which makes getting ready a lot easier if someone else is in the shower. The pool outside looks amazing, but it's too cold to swim right now. There is a restaurant on site, I didn't eat there. There's also a cute little boutique shop with jewelry, clothes, kids gifts, and greeting cards made from the old art of quilling. There is also a coffee house to grab some coffee in the morning. There is an in room Keurig that you can use as well. There is a beautiful golf course on the grounds and I saw quite a few golfers going out. I have to say the water pressure inside this hotel is amazing, like no other water pressure I've ever experienced in my lifetime. The shower was the best. This place is 7 minutes from downtown Cheyenne, and close to the airport as well. This motel was recommended to us by a friend. We really enjoyed our stay here. read more

My wife was on the hunt for Cheyenne souvenirs. I was told by a local that the Little America, the froufrou hotel and truck stop would have it. As I drove into the property, I saw the main hotel building. The main building looked a lot nicer than the Fairfield Inn down the street that I was staying at. Immediately upon entering, I saw the gift shop. The gift shop was well stocked with Cheyenne souvenirs. They had the refrigerator magnet that my wife wanted. The saleswoman working was nice and helpful. She tried to sell me on their famous 75 cent ice cream cone. I didn't get to see the rest of the hotel or the truck stop. It's a nice place. It might've been better than the hotel I was staying at. read more

Have stayed at this hotel/resort. The housekeeping staff does an amazing job. Our room and the resort is immaculate.i had an issue- the front desk manager gave us a solution that met our satisfaction. The food is very good. My husband brought me a delicious muffin for breakfast. Dinner was a bowl of New England clam chowder- the e were a lot of clams in the soup. The soup was so full filling I could not order dinner. Another night I was unable to join my husband for dinner but he brought me elk and fig pizza- very yummy!!! Definitely recommend read more

I'm not rating the hotel because I have not made use of that. However, I have eaten here several times and find the food to be well made, often better than what I can find at this price point elsewhere nearby and the service is always very professional. When they have the buffet it's one of the best and would compare to the high-end buffets at top-end luxury Las Vegas Resort. The Little America in SLC is also equally good but I've heard not served since COVID. Maybe they will bring them back. From what I have heard from others the hotel has a drive-up style motel format which I like. However, the rooms are supposed to be a bit nicer and better kept but some are rundown a bit. I have stayed at the location in Flagstaff, AZ and that room was great, reasonably priced, and well-maintained. It was a calm and safe experience. read more

This review really pains me to leave, but you be the judge by looking at my reviews and kind scoring. So I made a reservation UNVETTED, as we enjoyed our stay two years ago here and we're going to stay here no matter what. The front desk gal was very nice but as I was checking in, some lady behind the counter kept asking questions to the gal helping me as if I weren't even there! Wow! Never had that and it was the pinnacle of rudeness. Once we got to the room, we put our bags in and it was stuffy so turned the heat down. Little did I know that once we got back, the air was not working and it would just blow warm air. Great for a 2:00 AM wake-up-sweating deal! We also notice that there were dog nose prints all over the lower and upper windows and since the height of the prints were about four times higher than our Chi-mix, plus we took him with us, it surely wasn't his! The TV remote worked great if you stood by the TV to turn the channel or turn the volume up. Another big plus. The dog run area was a plus, but the two piles of medium-sized dog poop was not. Some people just don't get it, but with that being said, the facility should supply bags by the entrance to it, as, again, some people just don't get it. BTW, the next morning when we were leaving, the room next to our had a dog left unattended and he was barking. Again, some people don't get it. Now, speaking of dog's, as i woke up in the evening, the room started getting a distinct urine smell. This was an extra bonus to add to things. The next morning, the wife went to take a shower and while she was in the bathroom showering, the light started "Strobe lighting" on her for about 4 minutes while she was trying to shower. At this point, we were pretty much done with the room and just wanted to pack up, get some breakfast at the restaurant and check out. So we noticed a small group in the restaurant and no workers and stood there for about two minutes. My wife had had enough and said she'd get the front desk to wake them up, and the front desk is in full view of the restaurant entrance. She said she'd dial them up and after the phone ringing for about a minute, we just gave up, checked out and went downtown Cheyenne to a really cool diner for a great breakfast. The crowning glory of this whole fiasco of a stay ended with me giving a list of things wrong with the room to the front desk gal, whom I felt real sorry for as you could tell she was frustrated as well. But I checked my credit card a few days later and the $30.00 "Incidental" charge was still on there. I called up and asked to speak with the manager, Araceli, who never did return my call but credit $70.00 off the room bill. The front desk gal had mentioned that she would take something off, which is not what I was intending to want, but more importantly, that there were a lot of things wrong that management needed to look at. I appreciated that, but my $30.00 wasn't refunded, Araceli wasn't calling me back, so I called the mother ship in SLC and virtually got nowhere. I then had to contact my credit card company to dispute the $30.00 which it then finally got done action and it was reversed by Little America. It's really quite sad seeing such a once great place going down hill so fast. We were willing to pay whatever to stay there, tried giving the place more incremental business by eating in the restaurant and got shot down every way we turned. I truly hope things get turned around there but with the addition to several new nice motels just east of them, it may not be possible. Sad. read more

The hotel puts much effort into making their main building luxurious with nice decor and amenities. However, the lodges left things to be desired. The buildings seemed to be under construction, the sheets were stained, and the gym was microscopic and neglected with discarded industrial parts inside. The room was spacious and accommodating, but the living quarters didn't hold up to the standard of the main building. Overall, I had a comfortable stay and enjoyed the wedding in the ballroom. When looking for a wedding reception venue, Little America was the only location in town large enough to host our large guest list, and they did a wonderful job. Renee, the wedding catering manager we worked with, was absolutely amazing - the best vendor we worked with during our wedding planning! She was always quick to respond to our emails and questions, made adjustments to everything we requested, and made sure the reception went exactly how we wanted! Every other employee we worked with at Little America was also very pleasant and helpful! Our wedding package deal included two get ready rooms and a honeymoon suite as well - the rooms are old and outdated, but they were clean. Our only other complaint was for the expensive cost, the dinner was not stellar, but they did their best feeding so many people! read more

This place is alright. It's not a resort in any sense except having golf. Honestly the worst part was the housekeeping. We had a do not disturb sign on the door, but the maid randomly decided to enter our room to ask if we were checking out, well before checkout time. Hellooooo, there are...reasons you don't do this in a hotel. Then when I was bringing a load of luggage to the car, she again asked me if I was checking out. Um, no, stop. Then at exactly checkout time as we were literally walking out, she banged on our door to inform us it was checkout time. RUDE. I wish I could take back the $1 I left for her. The other issue was the showers have a weird design flaw and leak all over. The restaurant and bar are fine, the rooms are fine, but we could do without the housekeeping harassment. Yikes. read more

I can happily give this a solid 4. While the location is a bit weird, with a gas station out in front... and a little confusing to get in to... its not bad once you figure your way in. The rooms are quaint, very homey albeit some of the art choices and locations for them are interesting. The addition of a balcony or a patio makes for a cute touch in this hotel. There's a sink in the room adjacent to a microwave and refrigerator, and another in the restroom close by. The bed when I arrived was clean, and it's very comfortable! (Might have something to do with the fact I walked 5 miles but not sure, it was comfortable the first night too haha) Let's talk price point for a minute. The other hotels in the area were wildly expensive, upwards of 170/night. This place, 120. The price point for what you get is excellent, definitely worth checking out especially if you want someplace nice on a budget. The little Cafe in the resort is cute, I admittedly enjoyed it and the breakfast offerings it had. They were limited but tasty. The hotel sits back off the road so it was a bit confusing to find but it is close to a gas station and the highway! The reception area is super nice, they have a restaurant, souvenir shop, and a coffee shop that opens early at 430. We checked in without any problems, then you have to drive to your assigned hotel block. There's a playground and a dog run available for use. Our room was really nice and clean, it has a mini fridge and a microwave. We had everything we needed for our quick overnight stop! Would stay here again! read more

So little America in Cheyenne is interesting. Still has the lovely grounds and 1960s buildings sprawled out among the pines, grass and meandering walkways and large pool with chaise lounges around it, but the rooms are not on the level of flagstaff by far. WARNING- if you have stayed at and LOVE Flagstaff Little America - STAY AWAY!!! The main building where check in is, has been remodeled- it has the lovely gift shop, a bar and lounge, a restaurant and a coffee bar with some breakfast nibbles which is nice, but the rooms all need to be remodeled - DESPERATELY! The Flagstaff location however is just on another level all around, from lounge, entry, food, ambience, grounds keeping, management, remodeled rooms- just diametrically different. Cheyenne little America rooms: They have done some updating but in truth they need to be gutted and updated from the ground up. We changed our first room since I was met with a musty old smell reminiscent of stale cigarette smoke...but the next room smelled mostly the same. The bathrooms are very awkward and original layout and all..very inefficient design and just bad. They put glass around the bathtub which is pretty but it's still a very awkward space with amenities which are old, outdated and crappy. The pull out couch is awful. I felt sorry putting my 3 year old son on it but he didn't seem to mind lol. We are checking out today and into a newer hotel. It has a golf course here as well, and it's pretty overall...I'd like to come back but not until they gut and remodel the rooms and change management. Dear Little America Corporate: you own a hotel in Cheyenne which could be the jewel of any hotel within a 100 mile vicinity. It could be a five star destination hotel, but you need to gut the rooms and add a few more amenities. If inaudible a limitless budget I'd add a separate small water park and a spa lol. I would also bring in new management. In fact relocate the entire Flagstaff hotel staff lol. They are amazing. read more

This place is nice in the lobby. You are lost when you walk in though. They are no signs to tell you where to go so you roam around lost in the first hallway until the gift shop lady tells you to go down the second hallway. Rooms are ok, quite outdated. For the price I would think it would be alittle more updated. We ate at the restaurant on the property... two out of the three in our party did not like their food. Very bland and over cooked. I've always been curious about the Little America hotel chain having passed their hundreds of billboards during road trips out west over the years. During our latest trip we needed a spot to stay in Cheyenne while passing through. The price and ratings were on par for this location so the stars finally aligned. We enjoyed the fun retro style (maybe not intentional ) of the hotel with tile, city wind and railings reminiscent of the 60s/70s. The rooms are extremely spacious and well lit and we appreciated the friendly customer service at the front desk. Unfortunately, the walls are super thin and we listened to coughing all night from our neighbors which was less than ideal. Our other complaint was that the follies in our room really needed cleaned- their was granola on the carpet and a variety of hairs on the bathroom floor. They may not be able to change thin walls easily but cleaning the floors seems like an easy step for improvement. The hotel also features an outdoor hotel, golf course, golf carts, restaurant, gas station and semi washing station. I should also note that they're conveniently located right off I-80 read more

The rooms need some work but it's a fine place to stay. Our bathroom sink had a slow drain and the room fridge was noisy at night. The doors are really loud. There was a dog agility group staying here and the amount of bagged dog shit left around was kind of gross- the trash reeked. One guy's off-leash dog charged our car driving by and the guy got mad at us! Made us worried he'd retaliate against our car. We wanted to give a smaller chain hotel a chance. Big regrets. I'm all for retro but this place smells musty/damp everywhere. There was mold on bathroom walls and cracks in ceiling plaster. The restaurant food is plain, overpriced and you'll feel nickel and dimed (imagine paying extra for toast at breakfast). It was an awful experience!! Horrible, horrible housekeeping. The room was filthy, microwave does not meet code: seriously needs the health department to do an extensive inspection of this property. The rugs in the room were wet in certain areas, damp and full of pet hair. I had requested to have it vacuumed several times. Towels are frail and bed sheets full of stains. Honestly, the Health Department should shut them down. They don't clean anything!! Some of the girls in the front desk were nice(some were miserable). Managers had the worst customer service skills - angry as if you were doing them a disservice. Don't spend your money here! Stay away!! read more

We were in a 3500 mile 7 state 6 day road trip. We did not plan on going to Little America. But when we entered the city we absolutely loved the little America in Flagstaff Arizona so we decided to stay the night at this one in Cheyenne WY. It was such a disappointment. Our door leading into the room was dirty. It looked like a truck stop hotel. The ground had dried spilled something all around. Inside the chair that was in there was ripped and stained. The window was dirty overall just disappointing. Leaving the next morning we let the lady at the front desk know. She did not care. Little America is known for lunch buffets which are great however you plan on going after the buffet is over be prepared for slow service. I waited at hostess stand for 7 minutes and had to go in the back to get someone. Several other folks were waiting to pay their bills and be waited on. Come to find out that there was no manger and only one waitress. Did they not forget that there was three big conferences going on and just maybe needed more help. I ordered the chicken fried steak and had to send it back because it was deep fried instead of pan seared as advertised in menu. Always sorta dreamed of staying here since I grew up in Cheyenne. This was supposed to be the high end resort with the beautiful rooms and grounds. Instead of staying with family we opted to stay here for the two nights in town. Boy we wish we hadn't. The room is stuck in another time, some 80s, some 90s, and maybe a bathroom remodel in the last 10 or so years. Before we even walked into our room each and every time we were greeted by bugs including a whole lot of mosquitos. Once we'd walk in we were greeted with either an old smoke or musty smell. The furniture had seen better days; beat up and flat in places. Our "fitted" bed sheet was torn in 2 places. And when I checked in they confirmed it was a feather free room because of my allergies. Nope; the down comforter on the bed was still there. Really the best part of the room was the size. And I guess the mattress was decent. I had issues with the shower draining so I had to stand in a pool of water for the one shower I took. My family went to the pool first thing in the morning and there weren't any towels for a good while. The coffee shop was average priced, but my vanilla latte was gross. And the icing on the cake? We reserved our room under the wedding rate. But when I went to check in the daily rate was around $100 for each day we were there. When I checked out I asked about that and she said the wedding rate doesn't change and since we used that; that was our rate. So we were stuck with a $400 room bill that had I waited/done differently would have been closer to $240. So not only did the person who checked me out not ask how the room was, but she didn't offer to help with that either. Side note: parking can be atrocious. If we parked after like 4 pm we had to trek two buildings over or park in the main lot to get to our room. read more

I was here for a conference in July 2018. I have never been to this part of the country, and I was truly amazed at the culture and the beauty of the region. As far as the hotel goes, I educated myself on the history of Little America and their ties to the Lincoln Highway. The hotel has a nice par 3 golf course, relaxing pools, a unique gift shop and gorgeous accommodations! I would highly recommend staying here, and can't wait to come back again! read more

I will not stay at this one again. The entrance was not cleaned for at least 2 days, carpet was dirty, sunflower seeds on sidewalk for 2 days, door and entry way to room looked like a motel 6, stains running down chair by door way, looked like blood on bedspread and towels given by front desk, you take a bath in about 6 inches of water while taking a shower, crack in sink, etc. Staff was not friendly, tried to rush us out. I love this place - it has such an old school vibe that you just want to sit and drink it in. I expected to look over and see Don Draper throwing back an old fashioned with a cigarette in his hand (and it's one time I would have been cool with smoking). We had the lunch buffet with prim rib for $14.99 and it was excellent quality. Everything was very fresh, great selection and lots of options. Wait staff was very attentive and appropriate. The bread pudding with warm caramel sauce was amazing. Make sure to take a few minutes to just walk around and check out the hotel. It's beautiful. read more

I stayed at Little America on a long drive from San Francisco to Denver. First of all, I'd like to start with the positives. I definitely feel that Little America provides excellent value for the price. I think I paid around $70 for overnight accommodations and the room/service a good value for the price point. That being said, I will say that I was extremely offended by some things. If you review my yelp reviews, they are more often than not overwhelmingly positive. I'm not the type of person that is hyper critical. I try to let things roll off my back and am not easily bothered. Two things that do disturb me are acts of racism (both overt/subtle) and lack of accountability. Let me describe. So when you enter the lobby, to your right, you will see a large life size mannequin of a Native American in full indigenous dress in a protective glass showcase. To your left, is a real taxidermy penguin who is also in a glass case. Underneath the penguin is a plaque with information about the penguin- how it got there, it's life, penguins in Wyoming, etc. However, there is nothing about the Native American- nothing. No information about the tribes native to that region, the clothing displayed, reservations, etc. If you stop to think about it, you've in essence elevated a penguin to an informational display while relegating a representative group of people who we have decimated through acts of atrocity/illness to something decorative. This is BEYOND RACIST. It is not right. I understand that many people probably do not have a problem with the Native American statue being there but I think everyone can agree that the very LEAST this company can is provide information about the Native American displayed to at the very least put a person on the same level as a freaking penguin!! When I checked out, I asked to speak to a manager to simply bring this to their attention but they said he was unavailable. I asked for the business card. I called and called the manager and have yet to speak to him about this. I think a lot of you reading this may think I'm blowing this out of proportion but I'm not. Think about how you would feel if you were of Native American dissent. Or what if instead of a Native American behind a glass case it was an African American statue dressed like a slave? I think everyone right away would know that is racist. THIS IS NOT OKAY. This is unacceptable. At the very least, a plaque should be put in place under the Native American so they are both informational displays as opposed to a human being being decorative and a penguin being informational. Also, the fact that I repeatedly tried to speak to someone in authority about this but I was unable to is not okay. Complicity is an act of implicit racism in this instance. I think if you are a person who is socially conscious and actively anti-racist, you should be aware of this when considering hotel accommodations in Cheyenne, Wyoming. I was tempted to steal the awesome bed and comfy pillows...but it was too logistically challenging. Maybe next time ;) I was put up here on a business trip and was initially disappointed it was so far from town, but this resort turned out to be fantastic! PROS: -Ginormous rooms! -Awesome beds and pillows. -40 inch LCD TV -Microwave and Fridge -Luxurious! (For me at least!) -$100-120/night weekday...cheap for this high level of quality! -Affordable room service -Wonderful staff CONS: -Takes a short drive to get to town -Outdoor pool only...brrrr!!! -Must go outside to get to the bar and restaurant...a bit challenging in the winter.
