Peewee golf
Jay T.

I probably shouldn't have given 5 stars but I really needed a laid back place to rest and this place was perfect. I'll start with the good... When I called I was greeted by a friendly man that was more than willing to give me directions to the park. When I asked if the pool would be open when we arrived; he replied that the pool closes at sunset. I asked what time that was and he just kindly replied when it gets dark the pool is closed. This is unlike all the KOA style parks that close precisely at 8pm or whatever. He apologized in advance for the sand in the pool but explained that the dust storm had blown dirt in the pool. There is a basic 4' fence around the pool with no fancy locks and I doubt they would be terribly upset if you quietly snuck in the pool after sunset. I think our spot was $50 rather than $60- $90 like Colorado. I like the fact that all the spots have green grass rather than dusty old gravel. Laundry, bathrooms & showers are open 24/7. My family enjoyed a free round of pee wee golf before setting up for the evening. The lady at the counter just said the leave the golf clubs at the door when we were done. My wife said that the store had cute cloths in there but I didn't go in. Everything is older and some stuff is funky but it's all neat and clean. I prefer that over new and dirty any day of the week. The place has a comfortable feeling of visiting your parents or grandparents for the weekend. There is no sense of "Johnny LAW" here. The vibe here is more of a be respectful and enjoy yourself. There is a small basic playground for the kids with a real home made teeter totter. The bathrooms & showers were tidy and clean. The sites are set back from the road and you are not near a freeway so it's quite here. Our site was a pull through that accommodated our 50'+ rv & trailer. As for the negative aspects.. If you are expecting perfection and a new facility you will be disappointed. This place has a older hand made look and feel. The speed bumps coming into the park are excessive for RV's. There are no exceptional views around the park. The park is surrounded by residential and a Uhaul. If you are looking for a full blown transient RV park this is not it. There are quite a few full time residents. The full time trailers are newer and don't have a bunch of clutter outside. The couple of full timer's I ran into were courteous and said hello. The showers don't have a bench but do have a shelf and hooks. This is the first real shower I've had in 2 weeks. The showers have full water pressure with a normal sized shower head. The water was able to go as hot as I wanted also. It's strange that this is a luxury while on the road. All in all I would come back and recommend this place to people that want to relax and don't mind a older feel to a park.

This was our site WTF

Overcrowded, loud and will never come back.. the people running it were nice enough and got into our space quickly. We went out to do some site seeing and when we got back they had put in more campers. All wedged in to the point that the caper next to me was so close that my sun awning was an inch from the next camper. At 0130 people came back from some dam concert and proceeded to yell and be obnoxious for the next hour, this went on all 3 nights we stayed. In the morning I went to take a shower not bad other than some moron left empty shot bottles in the shower stall, now that's keeping it classy. I will say this other than the booze bottle the bathrooms were clean, and the pool was well maintained. This and the helpful staff are the only reason it's a 2 and not a 1.

This RV park was centrally located to the places we wanted to visit. Downtown Cheyenne was just a…read moreshort drive, and Fort Collins, CO was not too far down I-25. We booked our reservation online, and we got one of the last 2 available sites for our 7 day stay. Upon arrival, the entrance was a tight turn and then there was another RV checking in that was blocking the roadway. We tried to pull off to the side, but you cannot hide a 40 ft motorhome very easily. Check-in was easy and the staff was friendly. We were able to pull straight through the park, across an alley type road, and into the southern portion of the park where our site was located. After getting settled, we discovered that the other section of the park was under construction, so we were glad we chose the southern section. The sites are close, but separated by small rail fences. This was nice to designate each area, especially for those campers who like to spread out to their site limits. During our stay, the park would nearly empty and refill each night. It was a busy park, but we were not bothered by the activity. There were a couple longer term folks too. They offered two laundry rooms, and bath houses in each section. We did not use these amenities. They also sell propane on site and offer a dump station for use if you aren't staying in the park. There was a Hunt Brother's pizza in the building with the office. I spoke to the staff when checking in, and they gave me a menu and told me to call ahead to order. When we decided to give them a try, I attempted to call several times but no one ever answered the phone. I walked up to the office and tracked down someone who took my order and told me 15 minutes for a pizza and some buffalo chicken bites. When I returned to pick them up, no one was there and my food was in a pick up station/warmer. I wanted some blue cheese for dipping the chicken bites so I asked in the office and they gave me some sauce. They billed my credit card on file with the park. When I got back to my RV, I noticed that they had billed a second charge for a $1.00 for the blue cheese. I wished they would have told me that when I asked about it, or better yet, offered it when I made my original order. The pizza was good but had canned mushrooms rather than fresh. The chicken bites tasted good according to my husband. I think this park is one of the better options for this area. Once they get the construction done to upgrade the sites and utilities, it will be even better. I'm not sure I'll get the pizza again, but it was convenient for sure.

Nice park. Easy access off I-25 in Cheyenne. Good power and water pressure. Their laundry is…read morereasonably priced, with a place to sit outside while you wait for it to finish. They have Hunt's Pizza that you can call in for and then pick up at the office.

Our stay was enjoyable and uneventful, both positives. It is right off I80 and in town so it is…read moreeasy to discover Laramie from there. It is also close to the highway, so the noise level is noticeable day and night. They are expanding and the new sites are further from the highway. Ask for one of those. The wind also blows quite a bit and the blowing sand occasionally blew through the site. They have WiFi, and really good WiFi. There are towers in the campground that must boost the signal. This is the first and only time I have ever been able to complement a campground on their WiFi signal. Great job. The cable is done right. A good mix of sports in with regular programming. Something that many other campgrounds could learn from. We enjoyed our stop in Laramie including a visit to the university campus, several restaurants and brew pubs. This is a small town that offers lots of entertainment, both in town and outdoors. The KOA was a good place to stay to enjoy all of it.

We enjoyed several aspects of our stay at RJourney RV Resort campground this weekend. We were…read morethrilled to get a last minute reservation and received a good discounted rate. The sites were nicely level, with a huge lot available nearby to walk our dogs. These features made our stay comfortable and convenient. However, there were several maintenance issues that need attention. There were no dumpsters located close to our site, which made trash disposal inconvenient. The roads leading into the campground have multiple large potholes, and they seem to get worse each time we visit this area. These potholes can be challenging to navigate, especially for larger RVs. The most concerning issue was that the sewer connection at our site, D-04, was backed up and unusable. We discovered this on the morning of our departure. We called the office to report this issue and got an answering machine stating the office was closed on Sunday, then called the National RJourney office and spoke to someone who said he would send someone to help. No one showed up, so we called the general manager and left a message. He texted back and basically told us to close up our sewer and dump at the campground sewage dump or an empty site nearby. We never actually met with any personnel in person. However, our neighbors told us that previous guests assigned to this same site had experienced and reported the same problem, yet the site is still being assigned without the issue being resolved. This was very frustrating and created an unnecessary inconvenience during our stay. Overall, the campground offers excellent value with level sites, a fair dog-walking area, and attractive discounts. However, the road conditions and unresolved sewer problems significantly impacted our experience. If management addresses these maintenance concerns, this could be an outstanding place to stay. But in no way should the word, "Resort", be associated with this campground with current issues, and being closed on Sundays, in my opinion!
