My family and I stayed at Tru by Hilton in Cheyenne the other night and it was overall a very good experience (this was our second Tru stay, and it lived up to our expectations for sure). It was easy to find, had plenty of parking and we were able co check in quickly. All of the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. The hotel lobby as well as our room we're clean, bright, and comfortable. We really enjoyed how they make the lobby kind of a hangout area- they had a pool table and games as well as complimentary coffee and tea and hot chocolate. After we took our stuff up to our room we brought our toddler back downstairs and we're able to easily entertain him until bedtime with cocoa and a giant Jinga set. I also love how they have refillable soap, lotion, and shampoo instead of tiny disposable ones. They also smell great! Breakfast left a little to be desired, but it was included and we've definitely paid extra for worse at other hotels we've been to. My son is still talking about the pancake maker that you wave your hand in front of to start and are then able to watch your pancakes cook on the conveyer belt. We felt like it was a great value and had everything we needed to be comfortable and we'll definitely stay at Tru by Hilton in the future. read more

We had a delightful two night stay at this modern hotel. This hotel DOES NOT feel like a 2 Star Hotel- more like 3 Star. The hotel decor is bright and cheerful, with a lot of cool touches such as a pool table in lobby. Guest rooms are a little small, but very functional with large flat-screen TV and super comfortable beds. Breakfast is complimentary and quite good with hot entrees. The lobby is huge and designed like an area to hang out with lots of big screen Televisions and seating. The hotel Staff are frequently sern sanitizing surfaces and everything smells and looks clean. There is a 24 hour gym as well.as laundry room. The parking lot is well lit and feels secure. I would like to recognize James and Geraldo from the Breakfast Buffet areas for demonstrating excellent customer service! We would most definitely stay here again if in the Cheyenne area. read more

This is a really nice and modern style hotel, kinda like the hotels I have stayed at in Europe. The room was very bright and colorful with a nice comfy bed. The welcome pack and cookie in the room are very tasty! The shower had great water pressure and lots of hot water. The soap that they have smells great. The three stars is a solid one, but I don't think this brand of Hilton is for me. Why? As noted, the bare bones rooms might be appealing to the various tech bros who seemed to be staying there (judging by backpacks and laptops) and it's a bit too dog-friendly for my taste but I understand the appeal. This might also be the reason for no carpets in the rooms? Families, too, who do some sort of outdoor activities in other seasons might also find this appealing. The rooms were trying to evoke some lower end European vibe, judging by the (too) bright colors used for the basic color palette and bare bones decor, resulting in a very austere environment. The real point of failure for me and my spouse was the high wattage lighting. Seriously over lit, this resulted in a very sterile vibe. The three lights over each bed reminded me of some sort of surgery set up and the bathroom was also overlit. A dimmer switch would fix this and allow people to choose the level of lighting. The beds wer comfortable, though. Breakfast was serviceable, even if the oatmeal was too runny, the eggs were some sort of premade, tricorner omlette type of concoction (though with some tasty green pepper bits). Mike set up the breakfast and was very efficient, so kudoes to him. Lorraine also kept the breakfast bar neat and tidy. Coffee (Lavazza) was up to snuff (well, almost, could have been a bit stronger). I did miss having a coffee maker in the room to have early a.m. coffee without having to go downstairs and what about a microwave? The answer to why these were missing is because the rooms were so small, there really was no place to put these items. I do appreciate that this brand of hotel is trying to address the plastic waste that threatens to bury us all and fill the ocean with detritus. There are wall-mounted squeeze bottles of hand soap, lotion, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in the bathrooms, thus eliminating those useless, one-use plastic bottles that proliferate in hotels. The front desk personnel need some customer service training. When I noted to the young man at the desk upon checkout that there was a small pool of slushy snow that could be a slipping hazard (besides being unsightly) he said ok but when I returned over an hour later, it was still there and I mentioned it again to which he replied, he would deal with it when he gets around to it. Fortunately, a co-worker was there who overheard this and she promptly brought out the bucket and mop and took care of the mess. Finally, apparently the sloppy t-shirt and hoody apparel is part of the Tru brand, but really, there is an array of athleisurewear these days that present a more professional look while being casual. Hilton could do better in that regard. read more

Be careful, people staying At Tru hotels have been incurring smoking charges in non smoking rooms. I had two non smoking drivers stay in the hotel and someone was smoking in the room next door and we got the charge for it, when contested they would not remove it. Steer clear of this hotel, probably the entire brand. The entire Hilton brand last a corporate client because of this. read more

Tru is Hilton's attempt to compete with Starwood's "Aloft" brand, which Marriott is cloning with "Moxie". There's nothing wrong with the hotel at all, it's just targeted a bit towards millenials as the lobby has a pool table and is decorated with bright colors. My room was clean and comfortable. Mostly quiet other than one or two sirens on the main road in front, but no noise from neighbors. Odd to not have a work desk, instead there's a chair with an attached surface. Sort of like the chair you'd have in school, only more comfortable. Bed was medium-firm. Breakfast in the morning was more-or-less what I would expect from a Hampton with breads for toasting, juices, fresh fruit and such. Interesting addition was an oatmeal that had chorizo and green chiles. That was good. It's not very close to downtown. I'd stay here again in Cheyenne. read more

My wife loved this place if only for the abundant amount of shampoo available in the shower. The squeeze tubes are much better than individual single serve shampoo containers. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. Coffee is available in the lobby 24/7. Daily newspapers are available in the lobby. It is a minimal hotel in my opinion as I usually stay at the Hilton Garden Inn locations where I get breakfast and a bar. The closet is non existent and the work table is a chair with a swing out top. However, if you don't need these luxuries you'll find this brand ok. The rooms are small, but the large lobby with plenty of seating (including some hanging chairs) tries to make up for it. I would stay again. See the attached photos for more detail. read more

They really make the most of the space you have. Everything is new and modern with USB ports for charging. A great space if you are not spending much time in your room but it does have a comfortable bed. There is even a pool table in the lobby if you have some time to kill. It is nice to have a complimentary breakfast but it could use some improvement, Check-in and out was a breeze. The staff was friendly and courteous. Normally we just book a room like this for a bed and shower anyway, so it worked well for that. So don't get me wrong it was a comfortable stay. read more

Loved this hotel, love love love the hard wood floors, carpet in hotels is gross and a health hazard in my opinion, I love how clean they are and they absolutely sanitize even the floors so no chance of catching foot fungus or anything. The bright stream line rooms were so refreshing and felt upbeat. The lobby was fun and family Friendly. I think TRü is the absolute best brand of hotel out there right now for my taste, just so modern and clean and I feel much more sanitary and family friendly. Trendy is good! Funky I like! Well... This place is a little of both. However, Tru-Hilton gets it on some things; But they just don't quite cut it on others. In what way you ask? Oh, let me tell you the ways. To start off, the not so fab: When you enter it looks so impressive, even fabulous when you first walk in. In fact all the cute Decour might even wow you! Colorful and updated trendy furniture with wall decals, really brighten up this place with fun color & pizzazz. But little by little, after one settles in, the hotel comes into a much clearer focus. (1) Very dirty and scuffed up floors. (2.) The trendy upbeat furniture has scuffs, dirt and stains from... shoes? Food? Coffee? Just flat out dirty. (3) The guy making the coffee upfront is wearing gloves that he keeps on all morning while making breakfast & coffee for the guests, and then for floor scrubbing and god knows what else. (4.) Room sink smells like a dog died. (5.) The floors in our room were dirty and scuffed as well! (6.) The soap dispensers (which are in every room as permanent wall features) were dirty. I wondered how many dirty germ filled hands have squeezed these before me to get the soap out. (6.a.) Also, they are very hard to squeeze, so not too user friendly for elderly people. (8) Although they advertise sustainable, why do they serve white flour and sugar coated cereals for breakfast? And the hot chocolate they have in packets says only from sustainable sources, Yet the ingredients include artificial stabilizers and corn syrup solids? (9.) And most of all the rooms are small. Tiny & small, small, small! So small they remind me of a dorm room. So small you can barely get around the bed and place your suitcases out out. (10.) Although there's recycling outside they do need to put more receptacles with in as I saw none. Recycling will also bring this place into the present awareness of conservation. Now for the fab and positive: (1.) Kudos that this hotel represents the future and being more aware of sustainable items. (2.) It is mostly run by younger people which I believe provides them with much-needed awareness and employment. (3.) Maybe it will bring more awareness to the older generations that come to stay at this location. (4) There is a good use of space and plenty of shelves for people to set their toiletries and items in both the bathroom and the room. (5) There is recycling. (6.) The gym is well-equipped and modern compared to many hotels. So overall when will I stay again? I probably not, mainly because of the small room size. But I do think it's a great idea and I do hope that they can only improve on it (and clean a few furniture pieces) in the future. read more

So we are in own for business. My associate and I reserved this Hotel because it seemed like it would be a neat newer location to stay at. We got our first day's business done and attempted to check in at 3:30 pm, we were told that they have our reservations, but the rooms aren't clean yet. The cleaning staff said over the radio that the entire block of rooms from 301 to 309 were not done. We were given keys to 302 and 304 and told to wait; it would be available soon. So.......here we are at 5:08 pm and the only room cleaned has been 309. It's also frustrating watching later arriving guests being given keys to rooms that have been cleaned. I went up to the desk and asked if the rooms were ready yet, you would have though I dad asked the you g lady on a date. Rolled eyes and attitude, she calls on the radio to check and one of the room is ready. But follow through and customer service very lacking. read more

Decent spot to stay for an overnight rest on the road. Hotel offers complimentary breakfast (eggs, out meal, pastries,sausage, cereal, coffee, juice etc). Plenty of pet friendly areas around the hotel. Plenty of parking. Rooms are somewhat small. There is a market near the front desk where plates, utensils, microwave etc are available for use. There is no alcohol available for purchase at this location. Rooms were clean and overall hotel was quiet. I visited during a dog competition and the state fair/rodeo. The hotel itself was sold out but I couldn't tell as it was not loud in the hallways and there didn't seem to be an excessive amount of people around. read more

Cleanliness is what I want when I stay at a hotel. Finding hairs in my bedding and towels is always a huge NO for me. A hotel room should feel like no one has stayed there before you. This was not the case here. My bedding had some hairs on it, but the worst was the towels. There were so many hairs on the stacked towels. I don't know how housekeeping doesn't see this when stacking the towels, which makes me think they just left them there from the previous occupants. I'm an RN and don't think any towels should be left from the previous room occupants during this COVID-19 pandemic. It'd be better if someone requested more towels if needed than stacking a bunch of towels you're just going to leave there from occupant to occupant. read more

My experience with this hotel was not favorable. The accommodations themselves were not bad. My problem was mostly with check in and the staff. My group's rooms were not ready at 3pm for check in and many (myself included) didn't have a clean room to get into until several hours later. The staff was not very friendly or hospitable. They were really unsympathetic to the fact that our rooms were not ready. When I contacted the manager regarding the issues I had he claimed to be unfamiliar with the issues I listed even though he was supposedly helping cleans rooms so patrons could be checked in. His response was dismissive and he did not take any responsibility for what happened. The only reason I am giving this hotel 2 stars is because the accommodations were decent and Hilton Corporate went out of their way to make the situation right. This service at this hotel is not what I expected from a Hilton brand and will not be staying at this hotel if I am ever in Cheyenne again. read more

I arrived early my first day.. & she made sure to tell me " well check in is not until 300.. ok well thanks, I was so tired from flying all night I woulda paid for a extra Night.... then the next day my key that had never been removed from the sleeve she gave me stopped working ..!! I had to walk all the way around the building... freezing When I tell her ... the same attendant from the day before... she says " it's probably because check out time is already passed.. then she asks my name and sees I'm not checking out... I will not be staying at this Hilton property again. We make several trips a year to the Cheyenne area and thought we would stay at the Tru and try it out. It may be because of the management but this hotel needs help. We have a group of 6 that travel around the country and are all Diamond members, but this really didn't matter at this particular hotel. Its not like we go around flaunting that we have status, i just wanted everyone to know that we pretty much live at Hilton properties year round. We arrived early (11:00) and was going to check to see if any of our rooms were available. We entered the lobby and there wasn't anybody at the desk or in the immediate area. We waited 10-15 minutes (group of six) in the lobby until the desk manager arrived (Savannah), she didn't greet us or say a word to us, so one of our team members asked her if she could check us in if there were any rooms open, she rudely told us that there are no room available, our team member explain that we had arrived early and that we all have reservations to check in today, she rudely told us "check in is at 3pm." We had a meeting to attend at 1pm so we asked her if she could at least keep our bags in the back until we were able to check in. She did accommodate a couple of us however, she had an attitude the entire time. I decided I didn't want to confront her so I just kept my bag. We did encounter Savannah a couple times during our stay, she always seemed to have a grumpy attitude with our group. We finished our meeting and checked in around 4pm. There were two new attendants at the desk when we returned who greeted us with a warm and friendly welcome and checked us in and assisted us in getting some of the others baggage out of the back room. One of the staff I would like to commend who really went our of her way to make us feel at home and assisted us we anything we needed was Jazmine. She was very polite and professional and was always happy to help us with a smiling face and a great attitude. Now to the Facility itself. Keep in mind we are in a COVID pandemic time and we understand that there are procedures in place to keep everyone safe. Mandating masks is great and I noticed a gentleman constantly wiping down all the surfaces and high touch point and that I am grateful for. The Rooms for the Tru are more modern, there are no dresser drawers of any kind. The is a pipe to hang cloths in the open with no closet. There is a "tiny" refrigerator that can fit a couple items in, but be cautious, everything will freeze. The shower is large and comes with liquid Body Soap, Shampoo and conditioner in large squeeze dispensers. there is a kind of desk that can be moved around with one chair. No other furniture except the beds. Breakfast: It is nice to have a complimentary breakfast but it could use some improvement. EVERYTHING is controlled by the attended, even the Coffee, so if there are a lot of people, expect to wait in line due to only one person. They do have scrambled powered eggs on a hotplate, and your typical gas station egg, cheese & sausage croissant. Orange juice, yogurt (check the expiration dates) as well as juice and milk in a carton. If you are looking for a 1 night at a hotel, this might be for you, but if you plan on staying more then two nights, I recommend looking elsewhere. To the Manager... I recommend talking with Savannah. As an outside manager looking in, it appears Savannah and the other staff do not get along, and it may be because of her attitude. Then again, there may be other underlying issues she is going through... Bottom line... Talk with her... also... you need to either keep that front desk manned or have a camera that can alert the staff when people are in the lobby area... it wouldn't surprise me if you are mission condiments from your store area around that front desk. Plus its not good to leave guest standing around for 10-15 minutes looking to check in and/or Check out. Sorry, but due to these issues, you lost our business for this hotel. read more

Tru is not your typical hotel. No carpet in the room, no bar soap, no closet, no desk. Hardwood floors (which I prefer), squeeze bottle soap (shampoo, conditioner and lotion), various hooks in the room to hang clothes and a roller table with a comfortable chair. Unconventional to say the least. Some may dislike this but I think it's fine. They have a decent breakfast in the morning. Scrambled eggs, sausage, waffle maker, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal. Coffee is just OK. What I really like is the refillable station near the fitness area. No plastic bottles needed. You can also purchase the refillable bottles from the front desk. The hotel is conveniently located off of I-80 but not too close where you can hear the truck traffic whizzing by on the interstate. The location is near some fast food restaurants and only about a 5 minute drive to downtown Cheyenne. All in all, a good place to stay and I'll be back. read more

I'm staying in Cheyenne tonight and we stayed in Smyrna TN 2 nights ago. We had a good experience with the other one but I couldn't find it to leave a review, so I'm sure they're the same anyways. My only complaint is that the floors are hardwood so my big dog had issues with jumping on to the bed and off of it without slipping on the floor so he whined all night until we pulled blankets off to put on the floor for him. He still wasn't sure about it but tonight he seems better. I actually enjoyed breakfast at the other hotel (haven't made it to breakfast here yet but I assume it's the same). I just got the oatmeal but with all the toppings and stuff they had available it made pretty good breaky. I would 100% stay here again if I didn't have my dogs, but I always have them so I probably won't stay here again personally unless it's our only option JUST because of the floor not being carpeted. Oh forgot to add, the showers have been amazing. Water pressure and everything has been so nice! Update: breakfast was definitely not as good. Oatmeal was watery slop and they didn't even have brown sugar. Cream cheese for bagel was 1/3 less fat. Cheerios we're plain cheerios not honey nut. No waffle maker. The hotel was clean but as for my first time staying in a Tru brand hotel, I will stay away from them. If I didn't know it was a Hilton, I'd think that IKEA had gotten into the hotel business. Clunky room layout, cold and uninviting rooms with laminate flooring. The toilet took 10 minutes to refill and the hotel staff looked and acted like a couple of clueless teenagers. read more

No coffee in the rooms...really?? No workspace, except for this little tray on wheels that you can move around the room, but it constantly wobbled, so it was pretty useless and very inconvenient. The staff was very friendly and helpful during my stay. The facility was clean and had several things to do (pool, pool table, lounge, and snack bar). I understand the eco room concept, but it was cramped and not worth $238. These were the worst beds I have slept in during my trip from Orlando, Florida to Billings, Montana. The manager assured me the mattresses were being replaced soon and to give them another try on my way back through town. At $238, I will probably find another accommodation. read more

Booking a Hilton hotel in Cheyenne you have two choices: Hampton Inn or this new Tru brand that Hilton has rolled out. I figured I'd give Tru a try. If the goal was to make this a unique hotel experience, they succeeded. The whole open concept on check-in is strange. You have a short semi-circle check-in desk that's in a large open room surrounded by the breakfast bar, seating areas and a pool table...yes, a pool table. The rooms are smaller than most room and it's obvious that they went for design rather than practicality and comfort. First thing you notice are the things that the room is lacking: A dresser, a work desk and a closet. All three of which I used extensively when travelling for business. The beds are ok, but the sheets are really thin and the pillows or very soft and cheap. I cannot sleep with these cheap soft pillows and requested firmer pillows from the housekeeping manager. I was told they don't have any...just the cheap soft pillows. Breakfast is just OK. Cheap scrambled eggs and sausage everyday. Bagels, toast, cereal, etc. Probably on par with the Hampton Inn Breakfast. The couple things that I did like included the bathroom and shower areas as well as having a filtered water machine next to the ice machine. So overall, I think the TRU brand has overtaken the Hampton Inn brand as the worst brand in the Hilton Family of hotels. I'm not sure if I'll ever stay at another. read more

The room was okay, very barebones, no seating in the room but one chair. It had a very sterile feeling like a hospital room. It was a little dirty, mold along the shower glass door. The breakfast wasn't very desirable either, the sausage looked very undercooked. It was also loud with kids running up and down the halls. The main reason for the poor review was the extremely rude front desk. We had our hands full with my fussy 2 year old and my senior dog. My son was trying to run out of the door, while I was getting him our dog peed on the very dirty breezeway rug. This rug looked liked it hadn't been cleaned in over a year. My husband took some paper towels cleaned the small spot and apologized and right away the front desk lady told him we are going to charge you $150. While we explained the situation she was smirking and laughing under her breath and being very condescending. I talked to her as well and she was smirking and laughing at the situation when I was talking to her, I even saw the young man that works there smirking and laughing under his breath too. I don't know why they found our situation laughable. Never in my life have I dealt with anyone being this unprofessional. Someone that laughs at you should not be working in this type of industry. We don't deserved to be laughed at for apologizing and trying to remedy the situation, if we had to pay a fee, fine but don't be mean to your diamond members.. Or anyone for that matter. read more

Visited Tru by Hilton for a work trip the week of September 23rd. When I arrived at 1:30 p.m. with a group of about 10 work colleagues, only one room was ready to be checked into (understandably as check in isn't until 3 p.m.) so we dropped off our bags in that room and headed out to our first appointment. Fast forward 4 hours to 5:30 p.m., we arrived back at the hotel exhausted from traveling in the morning and visiting an oil field during the day, only to be told by the front desk attendant that none of the rooms were available. We were sweaty, tired, and hungry and had dinner reservations with our work colleagues set for 6:30 p.m. Understandably frustrated, I discussed this with the attendant and was met with a lackadaisical and unsympathetic response which went something like "a few people called out today and our GM is helping get the rooms clean, there's not much more I can do for you". So I called Hilton Corporate to inform them of the issue and customer service's response was that I had to take it up with the onsite staff and there was nothing they could do. 6:00 p.m. rolls around and I get a notification on the Hilton app that my room is finally ready so I go to use the digital key on the app only to find it wasn't working. So I had to go back to the front office to get an actual key card. I rush back upstairs to get ready for this work dinner and then we head out. I did end up receiving an email from the GM offering me points on my hilton honors account for the trouble which was fair. To the rooms. The rooms are small but functional. There is no coffee maker or closet in the room and even though I was down at the end of the hallway, I could hear every door shut and every conversation in the hallway as if it were happening right on the opposite site of my door. Every loud motorcycle and truck that passed by on the street woke me up so if you're sensitive to noise while sleeping, choose a room on the backside of the property. The gym is tiny but no one was in there at 5:30am and there was plenty of free weights and kettlebells to get a great work out. The lobby is small but has plenty of seating and a pool table. There is no restaurant/cafe/bar on site. Location was ok. A short drive to downtown Cheyenne for dinner and close to gas stations and pharmacies. Overall, this is probably the best you'll get in such a small town like Cheyenne but the staff onsite need to do a much better job with customer service and how they handle tired and hungry guests who just wanted what they were paying for. read more

OK, so this place isn't for everyone. I think if you're young, maybe have a pet, and are just staying for a night it is fine. However, I think the whole experience was more like reliving my college dorm years. It's like the head honchos at Hilton got together and said "lets create small rooms, remove most of the amenities like a closet, drawers for clothes, coffee maker, microwave, carpeting, add some harsh overhead lighting, and then lower the temperature to the low 60s. That'll really bring in the customers!" Also there was a plug-in air freshener that gave the room an overwhelming perfume smell. Anyway similar to my college dorm experience, except that in my dorm I at least had a closet and drawers to store my stuff. Breakfast here was forgettable with a lot of the usual stuff like premade eggs with American cheese, overcooked sausage links, plenty of juice with corn syrup sweetener, etc. On the plus side the bed was comfortable and the TV was nice and big. I won't be back to another TRU, but I think its an OK fit for some travelers. read more

This hotel is very modern and everything looks brand new. The hotel room smells like Febreeze and the grounds are neat. Unfortunately there is no storage for clothes in the rooms. No dresser drawers or closet. There is a small elbow shaped pipe located over a table with hangers on it that you can use to hang your clothing but it is exposed and not hidden. There are also a few hooks you can use to hang jackets and robes. The continental breakfast could be improved. It's the basic pan and link sausage, eggs, muffins, bagels, cereal & yogurt. The sausages aren't that great. The eggs look wet so I just ate the bagels for most of my stay. The lobby is beautiful. There is also a guest laundry room, small gym, and pool located here. read more

It's fairly new, it was clean, and it was located within a quick drive of downtown and grocery stores. It's a funky place and not something you'd expect in Cheyenne, but it works! Comfortable and clean rooms. Complimentary coffee and a great selection of snacks. I thought I saw some bars within walking distance, but the true gems are downtown. Not bad place to lay your head and then wake up and leave for a nice breakfast and some good coffee elsewhere. Don't be fooled by the free continental breakfast or afternoon barbecue. Wife and I like to eat healthy foods and stay away from the processed stuff. Wife and I could not partake in either. We respect the intent just not the results. I seriously love this hotel. The updated design is a lot more favorable compared to traditional hotels I've stayed at. The people working the front desk are ALWAYS amazing, helpful, and so kind! I'm a pretty frequent visitor to this hotel. Good amount of gym space, and an indoor pool. Nice lobby, and they provide games that you're able to use as well. Rooms are neat and clean. Some of the rooms are bigger than others, but that's how it rolls. I personally never put clothes in a dresser at a hotel, so no dresser is great for me. This place is great! read more

Pros: the hotel is modern - retro. The lobby is nice. The room is also nice. Close to everything. They have boards near elevator that provide info on what's happening in and around the town. The gym is small but nice. They provide shampoo, conditioner, soap, and body lotion in pump tubes on wall. They washer and dryer. Cons: The gentleman at the front desk had lip gloss on. To each there own but it is unprofessional. There's a time and a place. The staff looked tired and annoyed during breakfast hours. The breakfast area was trashy looking. Items not there: forks, cup sleeves, waffle mix was gone by 8:45 no one had refilled it. Eggs were dry. Had to ask for each of these items and staff looked ticked because I asked. The rooms have no drawers, & the walls are paper thin. There's a clicking noise coming from the mini fridge in the room every hour. Loud enough to wake u in the middle of the night. Yes, it's modern, and cool, and I like the shampoo/body wash/lotion dispensers (and no single-use plastic bottles to dispose of), but what were you thinking putting tile in the bedroom area?! The guest above me arrived in his room and clomped around in his dress shoes for a couple hours. Then in the middle of the night I heard, "thud, thud, thud" at least 2 or 3 times as he walked barefoot to the bathroom. Then he was up at 5am and clomped around in his dress shoes again. and then "wham!" as his suitcase hit the floor after he packed it, and then I heard his shoes & his suitcase as he rolled it out the door. Also, there is no coffee maker in the room. I stay at various Hilton hotels all over the west (including Hampton Inn's, Garden Hotels, etc) and they all have coffee makers. I kinda like to have my first cup of coffee as I'm getting ready in the morning. read more

Hilton did so well with this new brand! I really hope more Tru properties are built. Tru took out so many unnecessary features of traditional hotels. No unused couches, desk, coffeemakers in the rooms. But still good used of storage. All of those are available in the spacious lobby. They replaced those with well designed minimalist rooms, modern bathroom, and huge TVs! Also... NO CARPET IN THE ROOMS! I personally am so grossed out by hotel carpeting (I mean how often are they really deep cleaned?) and I was ecstatic to finally see a hotel take out carpet! Highly recommend staying here! We stayed during the first open week during Cheyenne Frontier Days, and I believe the staff handled the busy crowds well while working out the kinks all new hotels face. Loved the modern design. Love that they don't waste a ton of plastic for single use shampoo and lotion, etc. Staff friendly. Gym small but good. Room very clean. I read the reviews about cleanliness being lacking but i found it spotless. Maybe they got better because of covid? All in all, Id stay here again. read more

Hilton nailed the economy boutique brand with Tru. Lobby is fun, with many types of seating niches, pool table and snacks. Breakfast bar transforms in the morning with a unique assortment of toppings, jams and donuts. It was a fun surprise when I was just going to grab a coffee and banana. The rooms are very nice. I did have a concern about no desk in the room, but the desk/chair works for my needs or hang out in the lobby. Only thing that could be added would be 1 or 2 drawers in the room for personal clothing. I travel a lot for biz and personal and will absolutely stay again. Value for price point is an 11! read more
